My family is definately shrinking; and I couldn't care less.

The Irish side of my family is doing alright. My three first cousins have nine children between them. The English side, however... I am the second youngest at 56. The youngest is my four-month-old son who I had through surrogacy. Every other relative I know is over 70, except for some step relatives.

Good show Art. I haven't put it on paper Yet, but I will say my family is shrinking. So surprised your family failed. You have such a large family right now. Since you still have young members you just might make it. You still could have a couple of kids of your own 😂
My feelings are the young generation don't want to have kids these days. Can't really blame them either.

Happy New Year Art!! Good show. You made me watch the whole show to see what you were drinking. Nice tactic 😆. Well, my family needs to get to work... Anyway you can tell your family, (the same excuse I use), that you are irreplaceable!

Hi Art, you have a great content in the video. The vast majority of people do not realize that actually 4/5 of the countries in the world are already in sub replacement rates. I will just leave one thing I have been researching on my own since I am kinda of Geography nerd. The rate of 2.1 (per woman) is not actually enough to replace any population around the world if you run it long enough, especially as the age of bearing kids are growing older. I ran few calculus of the Canadian population and even in a ''non violent'' society as the Canadian they will be not able to replace themselves at certain point with this rate. The one that I found for Canada with the data available was 2.18 in a run of 80 years. Countries with poor infrastructure and higher violence rates will definitely need something over 2.3 to replace their population. In Brazil (my country) I got the rate of 2.34 for 100 years. We are way under that at 1.55 children per woman. Also a number more reliable for understanding this situation would be the births per 1000 inhabitants, anything under 16 per 1000 will be definitely shrinking at some point, if we disregard the immigration.

Wow thanks William, In the research I was doing, nobody brought this up. It makes sense. Do you mind if I state your name in my next BNR show and give them your data?
