WHY I OFTEN DON'T MENTION OTHER BRANDS IN MY VIDEOS.
You may have noticed that I often don't mention the original brands that watches I am reviewing pay homage to. This is very intentional and not meant to offend you or the original brands. I lost my first channel in October 2020 which I had spent 9 months growing and invested a significant amount of money in simply because I had mentioned the original brands in some of my videos. There are people who try to use CZcamss lack of understanding when it comes to the difference between homage watches and fake watches to attack other channels and their owners and sadly I fell foul of this in 2020. This channel was also attacked recently and CZcams deleted content simply because I had said 'subby homage' and 'Rolex homage' in two videos despite the watches in the videos being perfectly legal homage watches. Please understand that I can not afford to risk my channel so I will no longer be mentioning other brands when reviewing homage watches.

It is quite a good looking bargain! Personally, water resistance has never been a big concern of mine. Like you said, most people never take their watches diving. The only time any of my watches get wet is in the rain or when I wash my hands and a little water splashes on them. Thanks for another great video!
I have 2 - 1st Gen Monsters over 20 years old. I abuse them both, and have had them in the ocean and pools hundreds of times...never serviced. Wearing right now... works like the day they were made!! I've seen factory 1st gen replacement bezels for more than 70$. This is the watch to wear out to dinner after a day of diving with my seiko...buy a couple and use them for movement modding if they ever shit the bed...
I recently bought my first Tandorio and was impressed. I bought the w10 homage, it is a little bulky, but it had no QC issues and the crystal is fenomenal with AR coating.
It's definitely not my cup of tea, but there's no denying it's impressive set of features for not a lot of money. Water pressure tested too which is ALWAYS an icing on the cake of a bonus.

I bought this exact model (same colour - had to be the red) a few months ago and was also extremely impressed. Has to be the best monster for the money out there!

That's a Genuine Bargain, I'm a bit 50/50 with the Brand Name lol.. but for a Watch like That!?.. £47 is ridiculously cheap!.😮
You have to hand it to Tandorio, some nice looking watches for very little money, and at a glance they look fine and they do work well enough. Value for money is actually pretty good as long as your expectations are reasonable.
I own pretty much identical watch from Heimdallr. As far as I know, there's a couple of Ali brands, which have manufactured the exact same homage: Heimdallr, Addiesdive, Steeldive and now Tandorio. They obviously vary in price, but also quality and details.
Mine, for example, definitely has AR coating on a crystal (the blue tint is easy to spot), all indices have these golden, polished frames around (and in the middle, in case of the main one at 12), the scale marks on chapter ring are silver (appear grayish from afar), rather than white, bracelet and clasp are exactly the same, as on the Tandorio. I just assume the lume will be probably much better on my version, but it's hard to tell without direct comparison. With a naked eye it appears almost as bright as original Seiko's LumiBrite.
Mine also has signed clasp and Heimdallr shark logo on a caseback (which may be good or bad thing, depending on one's preferences). The crown is, however, sterile as well.
The Heimdallr watch was substantially more expensive (even though I've bought it during summer sale), but then again so was the Addiesdive version, which I tried to buy initially, but it never arrived, and I've got my money back. Thing is though, Addiesdive homage had bezel cutouts completely misaligned with the rest of the case, and it turned out it was a problem with the whole batch (I think). I mean, I've seen a couple of YT videos reviewing Addiesdive version, and all these watches had misaligned bezel. My watch has everything properly aligned, and I'm also pleased to see, that Tandorio pulled that off too, even though their watch is much cheaper.
A bit surprising, since normally I'd put Addiesdive higher than Tandorio in terms of quality control (I've got their Omiwatari and Cpt Willard homages, and they're almost perfect).
I bought this tandorio monster with blue dial on black friday sale. Glad to hear that it passed pressure test.
Just bought a Tandorio case to do an NH34 build. Planning on replacing the crystal along with the full build, so even if it was a trustworthy case, I wouldn't trust it anyways. But it looks nice, that's what I want.
Surprisingly good watch it seems. Love the "Herman" tests too. I do swim with my two Pagani's and my S.M., never had any problems. Regards

I have a 36mm Tandorio 200m wr watch. I put it in the skimmer basket of the pool with the pump running. Left it about 15 minutes and no sign of moisture whatsoever. It's my most worn watch, great specs at $55
We should consider that 6 tested then, 4 passed and two failed!
I bought one of these. Same color, but on a strap. Used the savings to pick a bracelet that I like. Haven't gotten the bracelet yet, but the watch arrived. It's pretty nice. Keeping perfect time. Has some sharp edges that I'm not sure how I'm going to address. I'm very pleased with what I've received, for such little cost. I used this video to make the decision to order it. Thank you, Gary!
I love the Monster! I'm lucky enough to have an original Seiko Gen 2 Monster, and then I saw the red dial Heimdallr version that YOU Introduced to me Gary, loved the colour so much, I bought one and it's perfect. Brilliant lume and though it pains me to say, the bracelet is better than my Seiko and add the sapphire crystal to that too. AND, I have used the Heimdallr as a dive computer backup on 5 or 6 occasions and it's been perfect. Can't speak for the Tandorio when it comes to diving but this test is a good indication that it's fine for normal use and at $70, it's a bargain!

But I'm with you Gary when i'm cooking or cleaning up at my club or doing work around the house I usually wear the cheapest Casio I own to avoid banging and scratching up my watches.
That's because they're the same watch. These Chinese brands all buy from the same suppliers, and just have their own dials put in.

Tandorio is a good watch brand as long as you know how to pick their products. This watch, is not something I would personally buy. However, its perfect for a teen ager. I can see that it is a good quality watch with an NH movement? How can you go wrong with this? For 70 dollars? Something I noticed about the Tandorio watch store. When the Black Friday started they had good prices. Then one day later, on Saturday they lowered their prices some more. A lot more. I made my purchases on Thursday. I bought a watch with NH35 movement in it for 48 dollars with free delivery. Then, on Saturday, they had lowered prices more. I ordered the same watch for myself for only 33 dollars with free delivery. Both these watches have waffle straps, stainless steel cases, screw on crowns, sapphire crystals and NH35 movements. On Sunday they increased their prices back to where they had them on the first day of the sale. I have not received these watches yet but I am already happy about it. Tandorio is the best value out there by far.

@@MrMagoo-hf8yk What I learned is that you need to have patience sometimes even after the sale has started. The vendors sometimes lower the prices in the middle of the sale or at the end of the sale. You need to be checking in occasionally so you can catch the lower prices.
I like my Tandorio. It was the 2nd automaic watch I ever bought. I also now have a Zelos and a VanBanner with reported 200m of water resistance and various Casios with various water resistance ratings. But I still always take them off when having a shower or doing the washing up. I would never go swimming with any of them regardless. Even if I had a BlancPain 50 fathoms with a moisture detector on the dial. I personally dont huy watches for their water resistance and never ever run my baths deeper than 200m.

@@happydogg312 Whatever floats your boat/submarine(?) Timing bezels are useful for timing what's in the oven but I draw the line at tachymeters and pulsometers. Compass bezels could be useful but if I put myself in that sort of situation I would probably have packed a compass.
The 'Sea Night' version is pretty decent for the price..

I never get my watches wet, there is just no need to wear a watch in water for 99.999% of people, just take it off.
If I buy a good brand watch and it's spec says it's ok at a hundred or two hundred meters then why take off your watch !? It's made for that fact, I always wear mine on holiday in the pool and sea and I've never had a problem.
I bought a Heimdallr Monster homage with snow flake dial in the 11of11 sale for 92 € and it is Stundung. I am so suprised by the quality and the logo is nicer
I doubt Tandorio have designed this watch from scratch. There are a few monster homages out there and some are decent watches and its probably based on one of them. So I was expecting this to survive Herman.
I think you're probably right although I think they must be undercutting the competitors quite a bit and hitting their own profit margin to do it
@@ilikewatches Probably they're buying up remaining stock of parts for watches that aren't the newest and hottest, putting their branding on them. That's how they can sell them so cheaply.

I've now tested 5, 2 failed...I do think its a gamble, other monsters would have failed I think but at least some are passing!

I'm curious why we didnt see herman pressurise the watch in air and then submerge it, you mentioned lots of air comes "off" the watch so I suppose learning how the bubbles appear needs some interpretation to decide whether it passed or failed?
I don’t like the name and after previous WR failings, I wouldn’t trust it. I bought the Heimdallr version and was very impressed with the quality and feel of the watch and I would trust it to have a decent WR.
I was hovering over the buy button for a sterile dial one of these but the code for my Helm Komodo turned up after a 2 year wait. Reassuring that it's actually okay so maybe next time.

I have the Frost dial Heimdallr, very similar to this Tandorio, could have come out of the same factory. Shame that I had a terrible experience with the watch, NH36 stopped hand winding, eventually managed to convince Heimdallr that it wasnt a "cheap" thing to get it checked/repaired in Australia, sent it back and chased them up months later, only to have the watch returned "fixed" with the same inability to hand wind. I ended up sourcing a movement and having a friend replace it for me. The experience has ruined the watch for me, and has made me very wary of Heimdallr as a brand

I thought water resistance testing was done with the watch outside, pumping, wait a minute, then depressurize and THEN submerge the watch to see any bubbles. That way you would minimize the chance of getting too much water inside the case

I'm pretty sure if you look behind the crown (once screwed) you will see a gap on the lower part where it protudes the caseback ;) mine has (still perfectly safe for pool swimming and even showering)
Like me with my Diver watches ⌚️. I even have one 'supposedly 'water resistant to 10,000ft!! and l don't even like getting that wet in the rain. Duh!! 😂

Due to user error (i didn't screw the crown in fully) my 1000m bezel-less auto 😂"diver" got moisture in during a heavy downpour. Luckily opening the case back and surrounding it in a plastic box with moisture pads seems to have saved the day. Convinced me that solar is best for divers to limit having to keep unscrewing the crown once a week to set it.😂

Heimdlr makes this watch, Steeldive makes this watch, Seestern and Tandorio. Are they all the same? Do they all come from the same manufacturer? The same goes for the Steeldive SD1970. Everyone has their version. Please do a video about this.

I have a series 1 Monster and this looks pretty close but with a Series 2 crown. The clasp is probably better. If its got an NH inside the only main difference is the 200m from Seiko is trustworthy while this Sicko is likely underwater roulette for the 1 in a million daft enough to dive in it. As long as its really 50m its fine... problem being would you trust them all to be 50m?

I was drawn to this watch when I first saw it but reluctantly dismissed it when I saw the price. It just appeared to be "too good to be true"!. BTW, has anyone ever commented on the overall sound volume of your videos? I always seem to have to turn up the volume when I watch them.
A few people but it’s localised so. It the videos I don’t think…the volume is the same as others when I listen

Not too keen on the Tandorio name (sounds like a curry house) or the 'T' Logo which brings Transformers cartoons to mind.
That said, the quality and value for money is fantastic.

Hi Gary. It seems to me that the lifting angle is 53° for Seiko movements. So your timegrapher measurements would be somewhat erroneous. 😅👋
Yeah, it makes very little difference, sometimes I remember to change it sometimes I don't...
The lift angle setting would only affect the amplitude reading, not the rate or beat error, which are more important anyway.

I think you missed something. There is an extremely sharp edge at the top of the bottom crown guard. You could very easily cut your finger on this winding the crown. Should have been rounded off. Poor design.
The hour markers look like teeth to me… 😂

Great watch. It is just the naming I cannt getalong with so I bought the Steeldive. Absolutely will not wear a watch brand that sounds like a curryhouse 😂.
There are millions of words in the English language alone that they could choose the brand name from, even just name it Shenzhen Watch Co.
Have you found that your expectations have grown before selecting which watch to buy from Aliexpress? Has that made less watches and less brands appealing?
From the channels I follow the more watches they get the higher the price and specs tend to become. I guess that is inevitable as our tastes get refined and our collections more focused.
The channels might be getting more views so inevitably they have more money to spend on making new videos?

Impressive for the money, but why buy it? Get a genuine seiko monster otherwise you'll feel like a fake with the replica on your wrist. If you can't afford the real thing like anything in life then just don't bother at all

Do people actually buy this fake? Save a bit more and get a Seiko 5 or Orient automatic.
Why?
Presumably because people like the design or style, see the specs, realize that what they are getting would cost 10X through Seiko, and don't want to pony up for the original. It's just a watch. The only time I ever see goofy comments like this is on the Internet. IRL nobody notices or cares what watch is on your wrist. At best they might notice that it isn't a smartwatch, and that's a win!
