If the Lord Advocate is independent, why is she a SNP Minister

Dorothy Bain should have thought a bit more about conflict of interest, before joining the cabinet.
She has put herself in a position that she cannot prove that her hands are clean, other than her words.
    Words are cheap, and valueless.

Lying to the public needs to be a criminal offence if a politician. As the truth will set You free.

Bain is not fit to be in her position .As far as she is concerned the post office workers are guilty .Even although the horizon scandal proves otherwise .And the snp whom she is a part of are trying to blame Westminster.

I see Swinney hasn't swayed from his habitual lies. How can the Lord Advocate be independent if she is part of the same team.

They’re all covering up for each other. Bain should never be in that position, far too much conflict of interest.

Absolutely Pauline - SNP are blaming Westminster once again, take some accountability won’t you? The Lord Advocate’s ministerial position is apparently independent 🙂but John Swinney can bring Pauline McNeil’s points to the Minister without it impacting on her prosecutorial role but not the rest of the assembly??

Both Swine and Bain are the type of odious truds that still float there, no matter how many times, nor how hard, you flush. The Crown Office dealt with it in Scotland - simples.

Why are the SNP being blamed for something the Westminster government did , they added and abetted in the false imprisonment, murder , fraud, perjury, fake accounting and adding in corruption and criminality. The SNP didn’t do that WESTMINSTER did , so why are the parties who took party in the horrific crimes blaming yet again the victims . The SNP have no part in this , they even tried to get Westminster to admit to their part and have the law dismiss all charges and false convictions and the Westminster colonists said “ we won’t admit to our part in the corruption but you can’t go it alone if you want to drop the false convictions” your on your own .

Diversion alert ! Difference being all prosecutions in Scotland were carried out by The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.
Scotland wanted devolution, but when the crap hits the fan, they want to pass the buck to somebody else.
It’s Scotlands responsibility for Scottish prosecutions.
