@@daniellesmith7149 😆😆I never realized that LA Reid does, in fact, look like Howard Rollins from ”In the Heat of the Night”, in this video. I always knew who LA Reid was, but always thought to myself he looks like someone else, but couldn't put a finger on it. You hit the nail on the head!

This was a great song, this was the group an artist called Babyface (you may be too young) was in before he went on to have a successful solo career. Also Babyface became a famous writer and producer for plenty of other famous artists over the years. I’m only mentioning him because one of the main singers here went on to become one of the biggest artist/producers ever (multiple Grammys) etc if you ever wanted to look into him.
Don’t forget Shalamar! Their big hit is ‘For the Lover in You’ Jody Waltey was also in the band. She wasn’t a big big star in the 80s with songs like ‘Looking for a New Love’ and ‘Don’t You Want Me’

So, I sit here with tears rolling down my face and the memories of a time I meant a lot to someone and they meant a lot to me. Hold on to your young love. It's the best feeling in the world.

I was pregnant when this song first came outand I would rub my belly and sing this song when the baby would be kicking and moving around and I was trying to get some sleep,and she would calm down so after I gave birth part of our bed time routine was me reading a book or twothen rubbing her back singing this song she would fall right out. I dedicated this song to my daughter Now every year on her birthdaywhen she was a teen ager I would wake her up blasting this songand singing to her.now its our lil tradition every year I have to play or sing this for her.this is our song at her wedding we danced to this song for the mother daughter dance. (I cried through most of it but it was so beautiful. I luv this song.fyi the dude on the piano and wdancing in the middle with the shades on is the legendary Babyface he wrote and produced this song and mamy others.another hit from the deele /Sweet November/

This was my Post Office co workers favorite song.
If i wanted to see them dance I just had to play this song..We would all laugh vause we knew for a fact that Jouquin and Denice wherr for sure going to dance..Such great and wonderful times the 90's was.
I never thougt that time would move so fast. Now im in my 60's I dont know where the majority of my friends are .
And Jouquin and De passed away a couple years later in the mid 90's of Aids..
Which Deniece was like my little sister and it just changed everything in our little gang after that.. R I P

You need to check out Roger Troutman ans his band Zapp, and his two of his jams, "Computer Love" and "I Wanna Be Your Man"....that was the first 45 vinyl record I ever bought with money I had earned workin as a bus boy for my uncle's cafe, I was makin $3.25 an hour, I was 14yrs old and it was 1987....but this song here was THE slow jam durning my freshman year of high school....I had my first slow dance to this song with the girl I knocked up during my sophomore year, her freshman year...yep, we had a kid when I was 15 and she was 14...it's insane when I think back on how hard life was back then, but it was just livin life to us both, doin what we had to do.....

Melrose1 she was probably born like 1998.. was that like the TLC era? He hasn’t done anything in 20 years.. left eye of TLC died almost 19 years ago and that was one of the last groups he produced

Love your facial expressions for this one by The Deele. I think it peaked at #10 in the USA Billboard and #4 In the RnB charts. I'm from the UK and although it didn't reach our charts , I still went out and bought the album that its taken from 'Eyes Of A Stranger' - I went all the way to London for it btw. I did however manage to get my hands on a white label release of Two Occasions, closer to home, in my home city, which had the extended version on it.
