Funny how Mcfarlane has all this articulation but when you pose them figures it looks all funky.
And they all have hunched backs and crooked ankles and feet

Now I'm hoping we get Henry Cavill's Superman from either Man of Steel or Batman vs Superman.
With cloth wired cape, better head scalpt,and hands,fist,and gripping ones to hold the american flag.🤔
Hopefully his neck is straightened out and not hunched forward like the JL version had.

Bro why would you not do a head swap with the Ben Affleck Justice League figure? That's like the first thing I want to do is swap out the head with a better head sculpt. I want to see what it looks like!
Why would he? That particular version of Batman only ever has his goggles on, up or down. Switching the heads would make no sense. Goggles on a Batman that doesn’t have them and no goggles on a Batman that should would look wrong. Besides, the heads aren’t really made to swap out.

They downgrade the batarangs... Why couldn't they use the ones from JL? They at least got the grapple gun correct this time but its a bit to big in my opinion. The head scuplt is ok 🤔 I still the JL Batman is the best Ben Affleck Batman figure

Your so right about the batarangs..but the back not being painted with a wash..I guess he made a last minute decision 😮..I still love it..I'm sure we get one with his batmobile, with his back painted 😂
The chest is narrow, the diaper seems to limit the leg moving forward so some might need to be trimmed away and the head sits too high on the neck. It’s sad that when forward crunch articulation is added that it’s exciting.
Looks like a well hydrated young Batman with a good outlook on life. As long as he remembers to take his morning constitutional, all should be well in Gotham City and Wayne Enterprises.
Extremely disappointing that the back of the figure isn't painted properly and a rough beard would have been nice. Definitely needed a second head sculpt too. The knee joints don't look as good either. I pre-ordered two😅

Its been how many years now since Todd got the license and he STILL makes comically oversized accessories made with gummy ass plastic? Raiden from Mortal Kombats staff bends even if its being held vertically.
The accessories are what you complain about? I would rather he improve the figures first, especially the proportions, and that awful diaper.
@@jamesshives5679 I think the figures are fine. The diaper when done correctly is fine. His joints I have to admit when being used are ugly but for a long time McFarlane collector I have come to accept that Todd puts aesthetics first over function. I have a 3d printer so at the end of the day I can print my own properly scaled, sturdier accessories. Its just again funny that we are year 4 I think into this line and the scale of the weapons for the figures look like oversized novelty toys
@@Laguna_Lad79 I think some of them are fine, but it seems like nearly every Mcfarlane release has a proportion issue, and as someone who likes to dynamically pose my figures, range of motion at the hips is critical, and the Mcfarlane diaper is a problem for that. If you like them, more power to you. I want to like them but I am consistently frustrated by these issues.

I miss the days when these figures were 10 bucks and if it had a cape it was soft goods not hard plastic and the accessories actually fuckin worked

Thanks for the review. I’m doubling down on the lack of muscle on this fig - especially when compared to the figure coming out from Beast Kingdom, but I’m thinking with a little surgery on the neck post it might help things out a little. Thanks again!

The thing is.... the head sculpt shouldnt be " an adequate attempt " by a company like mcfarlane. If a normal person with a cheap 3D PRINTER CAN MAKE A NEAR PERFECT LIKNESS OF A CHARACTER......MCFARLANE HAS NO EXCUSE OTHER THAN OL TODD BEING A HALF ASSER

Every time Mcfarlane proposes figures that we all want, but the final result is terrible.
I used a smaller neck peg for this figure, and I think it looks better.

The swivel at the thigh is actually better than the Keaton batman. That one doesn't move at all.

with some precision you could cut those thicc Boi batarangs into two thinner ones and just have 4 would require a serious steady hand and sharp blade but it can be done
Definetly gonna get him to customise him, I see a few bits to make, but I might just do a headswap.
One of the big differences between BvS and JL Batman is, In BvS Bens neck was as wide as the base of his skull. In Justice League He had a more "bulbous" head. Its like when making a BvS figure the neck stalk should not be a rounded peg, but a recessed socket so the head fits down in there and the jaw and massive neck and shoulders he has line up.

Thanks for the review. The scaling is so all over the shop especially compared to superman and wonderwoman from the same line/universe. I can forgive out of scale unpainted accessories and I know the figures are cheap but man I just wish they would get some kind of correct scale going on.

That's a pretty awesome looking figure but my complaint is that he's much too short and it's making feel pissed off about it but I wish I can do some upgrades on it when I get my hands on that figure soon.

Every DC fan is going to want one, but Todd has been following Hasbro's lead in not meeting demand. I never saw Batman Knightfall, Dark Knight movie version, none of the Batman and Robin movie figs at any of my local Walmarts or Targets. It's going to be another unicorn for most of us. And I don't preorder because then it becomes a premium figure when you include shipping.

The ONE thing I'm not happy about with this figure - because I can always swap out the cape, head and add some paint...but the DIAPHRAGM CUT is just an ugly straight line! It literally looks like they simply cut the figure in half without bothering to make the joint look more aesthetically pleasing. The BvS Superman torso joint is absolutely perfect - one of the best efforts I've ever seen, even compared to import figures. Even the Knightfall Batman looks great. A slight arch or curved cut is infinitely more appealing than just a plain straight cut across the figure fgs!

Free copies from the Toddfather himself hence it is "fantastic"!
Im really conflicted. The head/neck and torso thickness seems too small. I think the JL armor batfleck achieves the right silhouette and girth in the right places, but Im just not a fan of that suit. BVS is my favorite. That being said, the range and movement of the crunch and neck are maybe the best Todds done. The textures and wash look great, and Im a fan of the more gold belt. He also is definitely too short. Or maybe Superman is too tall? Their heights should probably be flipped. Batfleck is 6'4 or 5 vs Superman at 6'2.
What I'd hope is that if theres a BVS wave down the line, we get a revision with new torso and cowl, like they did with the Arkham Batman. The arms and lower half I think look perfect minus maybe some gold paint.
The body proportions are completely wrong. This figure looks so slim as you mentioned neck, head, torso. Looks nothing like Affleck Batman. Secondly, suit colour choice.
though i love the look, i hate the cloth cape to be honest. if a version of this batman comes out with a plastic cape i will be buying that

I think these are called “toys” for a reason. They should be meant for 7 year olds to play with. I always thought my 1978-ish Luke looked jut like what I saw in the theater.

The only thing I hate about the McFarlane idea is when the accessories are small they make it big and the body size isn't accurate to Ben Affleck
