    love the vid, was thinking about buying one of the complete kits for mine. Since you’re using the stock fpr did you notice any change in performance? I’ve heard sometimes after the LR fuel rail install sometimes it runs lean.

      You know what’s weird is I actually did notice the car pulled a little bit harder after I first did the install, but without an AFR gauge I couldn’t tell you for certain. A lot of things have changed since then as I’m running a focus DME and the Lindsey MAF setup. Once I figure out what direction I’m going to go in to run the OBD software I’ll be able to really dial in the AFRs.
      Interesting you that cars run lean with the Lindsey rail and stock FPR, I’d never heard that when I was shopping around, but I figure based on the AFM, O2, sensor, and coolant temp sensor the DME would change the injector pulse to compensate, but that’s just a complete guess.

    Looks awesome. I also have an '86. I changed my fuel hoses to some braided ones from another company about three years ago, and from day one the braided jackets smell like fuel. I cannot find a leak anywhere and nothing is wet. My original rail is in great shape but I may be redoing the hoses. Off topic question. I'm getting ready to do the clutch and wonder if the sensor bracket has to come off on this model year? I've had the sensors out before with no problem removing them but don't remember if there was the long sleeve on the bracket that prevents the bellhousing from being removed while in place. Thanks. PS, looks like your coolant reservoir is a little overfilled unless that is stained on top.

      The coolant is at a normal level it’s just stained but if you look closely you can see the actual liquid is in between the min and max lines.
      If those lines smell like fuel it could be vapors permeating through them so just be careful.
      I believe it’s the ‘88-‘91 bell housings where they made the upgrade to where you don’t have to remove the hall sensor brackets our cars unfortunately still require the bracket to be removed in order to remove the bell housing. If you’ve had it off before then it shouldn’t be too much of a bear to do again. I should probably replace both of mine as preventive maintenance, but unfortunately I have other things popping up I need to take care of first.
      Since fixing my AC the car is running very very warm during the day and it’s getting hot here in PHX. I’m seeing average coolant temps of 100C so I think it’s time for a new radiator and all the “while I’m in there” parts.

      @@TakeFlightGarage Thanks. I took out the sensors before just to make sure the air gap was correct. It was, so I didn't need to mess with the bracket. Yeah, I did a radiator several years ago. Easy job. I got a Lemforder radiator on Amazon for about $175. Make sure your cooling fans are good. Spin them by hand and listen for any grinding. I refurbished one of my fans, but scored a brand new Genuine Porsche one at a swap meet for $50 dollars..LOL! That's a $500+ part! I'm wondering if any of the coolant flush products would work for you, given the amount of build-up residue you have in your expansion tank? In Northern PA, we have to run 50/50 anti-freeze mixture which will make it run hotter in the summer. In your climate, I'd probably run the least amount of anti-freeze possible and throw in a bottle of "Water Wetter" to keep the pump lubricated. Great channel! Cheers.

    I just installed mine yesterday. Did you have issues with the injectors leaking from the fuel rail? I just put new o rings on my injectors but they still leak

      Try to make sure they are fully seated into the rail, and aren’t being pushed by the rail being bolted down crooked, it can be a little tricky to get the rail to sit straight but that’s the most likely cause. Just take your time and don’t push too hard on anything. I’d also try tightening the rail in a cross pattern to help it seat evenly.
