Unless the college ball is really heavy, Maye is lobbing balls around the field like he has a weak arm. He isn’t that fast in his feet either. He better have a high IQ like Brady if he wants to survive the league.

Caeden Wallace apparently allowed one sack the whole season last year for Penn State
Love the direction of this team so far. Got the most physically gifted QB in the draft, a WR who excels with the intermediate routes and has great hands, and a pure OT who only gave up 1 sack in his Collegiate career. Still got 4-5 more draft picks left and this defense is getting back its 2 best players this season in Judon and Gonzalez. Uche and Barmore had career years with 10.5 and 9.5 sacks respectively and may be better. Its exciting times, but I wont get ahead of myself just yet. 8 wins this year in the AFC East would be a huge success. I think 1 more off-season with a ton of cap space and another draft will get us into playoff contention, assuming Drake Maye is as awesome as I think he is

Well hopefully he's not a flash in the pan Vic Beasley type and can still produce 7-9 sacks as a pass rush specialist, or Keion White who I think is Trey Flowers 2.0 has a breakout year to help Judon and Barmore on the front

Going into this draft I was just praying they'd do the right thing and take the QB at 3, and a weapon at 34 to help the QB. Well they did just that, and addressed the other biggest need by drafting 1 of the best pass-blocking RTs in the draft. I assume he'll be competing for the starting LT job since Wallace fits the mold of a LT more than Onwenu

Good solid pick. I like this kid a lot. He put up some pretty good numbers even with two other NFL bound WRs Odunze and McMillan on the same squad at Washington.
He's a strong physical receiver who's good at those crossing routes and isn't afraid to catch the ball in traffic, in the middle of the field. But he's versatile so he can take it deep as well. He makes catches with his hands extended away from his body and high points the ball. And he's good for some YAC. I think he'll make an excellent addition to the Patriots offense.
Our defense is already great with Mathew Judon now imagine us with Drake Maye and Polk
If the guy cannot get separation from a college db how will he get one from sauce gardner, jalen ramsey, heck even backup dbs in the nfl?!

Have a bad feeling about this the same way I had a bad feeling when they took Thornton and Harry over better receivers on the board.
I was hoping we'd get McConkey, but hopefully Polk can contribute.
Thornton was way too skinny and Harry couldn't get open. This guy is well rounded, as he gets separation, runs good routes, and has good hands. Plus, our wide receiver coach was at Washington with him.

Exactly, you need studs. We have one of the worst WR rooms in the league. We take a #2 when this guy is on the board. You get this head right and you have a WR with #1 potential. Polk could be great, but I'm so frustrated right now. Why not give your new QB a WR that can separate?

Man Penix got this boy drafted top of second. Those were perfect tight deep ball passes due to lack of separation deep. YAC yards lacking on screens and mid passes. Only elite thing I saw was hands. Sad when this is considered a great pick with 37th pick. Should be aiming for high upside WRs not an okay WR.

This pick becomes more valuable if Tyquan Thornton can make a noticeable improvement in his game. Tyquan set a combine record with a 4.21 40-time, and if he can become reliable option on the outside, than Polk could be a great #2. Tyquan needs to improve and make use of his crazy North-South speed.

I think poulk is a good pick but I have given up on tyquon. He is too thin to play in the NFL. Unfortunately, he is a bust
Thornton's rookie season, although shortened by injury, left some hope. He still managed to catch over 250 passing yards which is good for a mid to late round pick, what he should have been. Then, last season with that offensive Offensive Coaching staff, he regressed terribly. He has this upcoming season left to prove something, provided he even makes the team.
Tyquan has played with the worst receiving corp in the league the last few years. Hopefully these two picks help. But I agree, he hasn’t shown much despite his speed.

Ladd McConkey has way better highlights. His ability to get more yards after the catch is amazing. Should have kept the 34th pick. Polk looks slow and his yards after catch isn’t that great.

Polk, at least he's not another smurf WR!! At the onset, I was a bit WTF, like typical Pats draft of years past, but it seems Polk's big pluses are his strong hands and Int.-Long route catching ability and that's exactly what they need. He may not become a true #1 but I'd settle for a consistent #2 700-900 yard guy at this stage of the game. He was rated as a late 2nd rounder anyhow. Not a major reach.
