    Thank you so much for this! - I own two 2004 FR2000, neither is driveable for various reasons, but both complete and not far off track-ready. I'll be watching all these religiously as I try and get at least one on track.

    Thank you soooo much for this great videos! I am just looking to buy a Tatuus Formula Renault 2.0 but I was worried if I will be able to repair/restore one since I have no experience with singe seaters. I looked on CZcams to see are there any videos I am so happy I found yours, just recently uploaded. I look forward to your new videos, please make them as long and as detailed as possible since this is the only resource that we have. Thank you very much for making them and sharing your knowledge.

      @@martinmarks6062 Welcome! I know it takes lot of time to edit the videos but if you don't have time you can upload them unedited, we can easily skip or fast forward some parts. Looking forward to episode 5!

    This is a very good way to share your FR knowledge, looking forward to all episodes and learn as much as possible about this model Tatuus. Have an FR 1721cc, 1991 (non Tatuus) running and an unrestored 2001 Tatuus, situated in the Netherlands. Unfortunatly haven't found time to start the rebuild yet. But your videos turn me on, so who knows, sooner or later will pic up the project! Looking forward to it, please continue creating new episodes.
    A question, in case i want to give the car a new coat of paint, how do i get the old paint off without damaging the carbon tub?

      hi you can use fine sand paper but take it easy. no chemical solvents as you will destroy the resin in the carbon fibre. no short cuts I am afraid

    Nice video. Looking forward to your videos. As a car enthusiast - how much does a normal maintance cost for a track day driven F2 / for fun only?
    PS: U only need to pay much more attention to sound levels as from quiet / normal talking and then to very loud music is not ok :)

      Hi noted re sound still learning
      Regarding running cost, when people say “track day only”. The running time on track days can be as long or longer than a race so the preparation needs to be the same
      F2 is a huge Jump in terms of expertise and cost from a formula Renault. As the name would suggest it’s one level down from and f1 car.
      But it’s a lot if you include everything it’s thousands per hour. You would need at least 4 experienced guys to run that
      Do you have an f2 car

    Could you iva test a car like this and put it on the road?

    • @racecarrebuild
      @racecarrebuild  Před 5 měsíci

      hmm hypothetically yes but race cars make terrible road cars, 25mm ground clearance you wouldn't get very far
