Toulouse (pronounced [tuluz] ( listen) in standard French and [tuˈluzə] ( listen) with a Toulouse accent; Occitan: Tolosa, pronounced [tuˈluzɔ]), medieval Tholoza, is a city in southwest France on the banks of the River Garonne, 590 km (366 mi) away from Paris and half-way between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. With 1,102,882 inhabitants as of 1 January 2006,[1] the Toulouse metropolitan area is the fourth-largest in France, after Paris (11.8 million), Lyon (1.8 million), Marseille (1.7 million).
Toulouse is one of the bases of the European aerospace industry, with the headquarters of Airbus, Galileo positioning system, the SPOT satellite system, and CNES's Toulouse Space Centre (CST), the largest space centre in Europe.[2] Thales Alenia Space, Europe's largest[citation needed] satellite manufacturer, and Astrium Satellites, EADS's satellite system subsidiary, also have a significant presence in Toulouse. Its world renowned university is one of the oldest in Europe (founded in 1229) and, with more than 97,000 students, is with Lille the third-largest university campus of France after Paris and Lyon.[3]
Toulouse was the capital of the former province of Languedoc (provinces were abolished during the French Revolution). It is now the Chef-lieu of the Midi-Pyrénées region, the largest region in metropolitan France. It is also the Chef-lieu of the Haute-Garonne department. - Hudba

Richard B This song perfectly captures the unique appeal, the savoir-faire, and the “je ne sais quoi” of the French atmosphere of Montreal in the early 1970’s. Came first time on a business trip and instantly fell in love with the city. Place Ville Marie was the center of the city and 5 bars were filled with people every night after work. In 20 minutes I saw more gorgeous women than I’d seen in NYC in a month. This song perfectly captures the charm of the city, the night life, the restaurants, and the spirit of the people, especially the French. Whenever I hear it, I’m transported back in time to that fabulous era.
Thank you for sharing your story. Hope one day the world can relax a little.

From an American, can confirm... great show!
The dialogue between the characters is phenomenal and the Modine's scene with this song playing is outstanding!
That break with the violins at 1:13 is one of the most perfect things in music history.
The key change at 2:14 is KILLER! Amazing song!!

Yet they can't pull their finger outta their ass to throw a soundtrack together. The comment section on this song alone should warrant it.

Always the radio when I was 4. The best! C'etait une de mes plus preferree!
I always loved this song. I played while I road gain for a Station in Ottawa, back in the day - CFRA. This song has always been appreciated - and speaks to the era and exactly where music was. I was a Beatle bred fool - and loved R and B - and yes, I did get sick of disco - but, c'est la vie. This is worthwhile. Have a good one and stay happy.
Thomas Crone Just found this song...also a huge Beatle and R/B guy..and also love this. Soulful disco like Thelma Houston.
In Toronto it was 680 CFTR love it
I worked at CFTR 76-78, and loved it.
