    Delta will eventually expand in Austin with mainline jets as American is reducing or terminating services at the airport due to its proximity with its main hub of DFW.

    American Airlines reduced flights out of Austin, so it looks like Delta is taking over those slots.

      They don’t have slots. They don’t have slots they’re just going after an opportunity that may or may not work and it’s summer seasonal anyways so not really a big deal.

    Really Happy SAS join Delta, Air France and KLM etc.

    I could see Delta putting more international flights from Austin in the coming years. It's already a rapidly growing city, it has F1, MLS, MotoGP, etc. I could definitely see them doing Austin-London, Austin-Madrid and so on.
    Also, considering the Airfrance-KLM deal, does that mean SAS will move to SkyTeam?

      Yes! My understanding is SAS will eventually migrate to SkyTeam. 🎉

    Airbus has accumulated 10 years of production to deliver....insane...

    • @mandandi
      @mandandi Před 6 měsíci +3

      Good for them. Some might be cancelled though. Nothing is guaranteed in the long term.

      @@mandandi maybe. And even prevent some future urgent orders. Some experts suggest that the latest Turkish Airlines order took more time to agree on the delivery times. And on the A350-1000 engines...But Boeing can't take advantage of it. Because they have a smaller and "older"range of aircrafts. Except with the B787, their planes are no new models. It's not a leading company.... like 5 years ago.

      @stevesmoneypit6137 Před 6 měsíci

      They could have big problems with that if Putin cuts ties with AB

    • @mandandi
      @mandandi Před 6 měsíci +3

      @@patrickpeters2903 Yeah, correct. Currently Airbus has more newer models than Boeing certainly. Airbus has 2 composite models to Boeing's 1 model. 787 is selling very well though, and it has that sector covered by and large, just as the A350-9 has covered its sector very well. Competition is really in the single-aisle sector and 350-10 vrs 777-8.
      Next generation aircraft will be interesting to see, especially from Boeing, for me. Its likely Airbus will stretch the A220, encroaching onto the A320 space. So I expect the A320 family replacement to move up a bit in terms of passenger capacity, covering more of the A321 and lower end of 787 and A330neo. What will Boeing do next?

      Boeing will have 8 or so years of production to deliver too thats quite big

    Austin has many Government agencies and Universities. It makes sense for them to make a bigger move out of this airport. Denver will be adding 200 more Gates (by 2045) and this just shows that prices to fly is reachable by many income levels. United Airlines will be updating their pilot program/site. It’s amazing to see all of the growing.
