First time I see J.R stand up to Bobby 😂
I agree with JR on this issue Pam had no bussiness sticking her nose into Jr and Sue Ellen's problem.. JR had every right to be angery with her.
I just love the way you men look out for each other against all of these evil women. After all. We gotta let you men (daddys) raise your sons by teaching them to “Man Up”so they won’t turn out to be gay or transgender later on in life.
Pamela got off to easy. I can imagine many men would have done far worst to her than yelling at her. That is why I have never believed that JR killed Kristin. Because if he was capable of murder, he would have killed Pamela for kidnapping his sno.
@@GeorgeCarlinWasAGod how they turn out in life has nothing to do with the issue...bottom line Pam had no bussiness sticking her nose into JR and Sue Ellen's marriage problems. you stick your nose into a friends bussiness and you can end up loseing that person as a friend...........I know I did that once tried to help out a friend and We are no longer friends. he told me to mind my own bussiness.
Pam interfering in J.R. & Sue Ellen's business? That's debatable, Sue Ellen begged Pam for help, and I'm guessing the woman in her got the best of her, other then that , I don't think Pam wouldn't have got involved.

I love how JR and Pam fought each other.
Although Larry Hagman's and Ken Kercheval's characters are alike in many ways, they actually were the best of friends, until Hagman's passing in late 2012, 7 yrs. before Kercheval's own passing. They were good actors. May both Hagman & Kercheval #RIP.
Larry hagman and Ken kercheval's on-screen rivalry is what kept the show going. From Ms. Harper Stacey.

@@danielcorreard3746The thing is, JR wouldn’t even have bothered Cliff if he wasn’t so stupid to keep trying to go after the Ewings. First it was when he was the head of the OLM, then Sue Ellen, then when he tried to get one of JR’s oil fields which cost him to bankrupt Wentworth Tool and Dye, etc. I know it’s a TV show but if this was real I seriously doubt anyone would keep going up against someone that kept being them. Lol
And many years later, Phyllis would tell JR that Hell would have to freeze over before she would ever work for him.

JR always had a a bee in his bonnet over Pam. He was so cruel to her through the years but Bobby smacked him down enough to know he couldn’t get away with it.

@@xavierrethore3778 Yea, and they moved the breakfast table out by the pool later on where it’s sooooo windy away from under the covered area which was a little better and near the sliding door!!! Pam sure got used to be waited on and having fancy stuff!!
@@xavierrethore3778 No one. It's only good for the plot so JR can argue with Pam, then almost get into a fist fight with Bobby. I like how Teresa hurriedly walks off when the argument starts.
I guess they rented the ranch to film on location during the summer and they had to make the most of it, wind or no wind. In the miniseries (and maybe the first season), it was clearly very cold but after that Dallas seemed to be blessed with a perpetual summer.
You see the way she slid that cup across the table!! So arrogant..but funny!!

People have to realize JR can go when he is mad, he kicked Dustys ass during the dream sequence and in season 2 he slapped around those 2 guys in his office, but usually when he gets beat up is when he is in a great mood and somebody surprisingly attacks him
He kicked Ray's butt in the scene where the house catches fire. And he sent Clayton tumbling down the stairs.
And don't forget, he threw 'Nicholas Pierce' off the balcony and during the South Fork fire he knocked 'Ray' out!
Don’t forget he tossed Sue Ellen’s boyfriend off the balcony, knocked Clayton down the stairs when they fought and knocked out ray during a fight.
Also times when Bobby has attacked him, he gets some good elbows and a couple shots in.
On this occasion JR was right.
Only time I saw Jr not back down from Bobby.
Every time they are outside for breakfast it looks like they are in a wind tunnel! 😂

JR always did more than stand up to Pam. He took every opportunity to make her life miserable especially whilst she was married to Bobby. But JR was never a match against Bobby. To see JR stand up to Bobby who is a lot stronger than JR is saying something.

JR never won a fight with Bobby
I don't understand why JR is so mean and underhanded. If he tried to be a nice person, maybe his brother Bobby could show him how to be an honorable and decent and productive member of society. If that happened, maybe Sue Ellen would come back to South Fork with John Ross and reunite with JR and make things work. And then the whole family can be happy together. Also, I think Pam was being inconsiderate to the woman hired to help. Pam should have got her own cup of coffee. (0:04) I mean, who does she think she is? Can't she see that Teresa was busy fixing the table across the pool? She could have at least waited until Teresa was finished doing what she needed to do. But really, she should have got her own coffee. I mean, how hard is it to get up and walk on over to the coffee pot? Look for yourself at 0:04.
If jock was alive that would have been a range war against Clayton.

In most families, they eventually grow up and laugh at the times they fought and argued. Sadly, there are some very ugly exceptions.
You know if Jock was there this would have been one of the Few times he would have gotten in Pam and Bobby face and told them they were wrong and would have sided with JR. I mean you try having someone take your kid to someone that wants to take your kid away and Prevent you from Seeing that Kid . Something Sue Ellen was Trying to do . 'bobby has you broken in the way he wants you' - puke how these shows and so much else normalises subjugation and power.
It is an accurate depiction of the time. Not an excuse, certainly, but that level of ugliness was real in corporations among the "untouchables." My sisters and cousins could tell you some stories. Also not saying it's completely gone either. I had a female manager once who tried to explain something to the head of one of our largest clients. He would not accept her explanation to save his life. She had me talk to him and I gave him the same exact explanation she did. He said, "Oh, ok. Thanks! I'll be in touch!" I wanted to take the guy to task but my manager forbid me. I mean I'm about as conservative as you'll find and even I was outraged by how inappropriate he was. This was about 4 years ago, I've since left the company and still wish I'd have said something. Anyway, I would tell younger folks watching this "This is the way the world was back then, but thankfully most agree it's not appropriate and most companies won't tolerate it now." Hiding the past is never good.
@@JedForge This sort of behaviour is alive and well in many companies - i've worked in the mental health industry for years and i've heard many horrendous stories of bullying and abuse. One of the things television did then and still does now is help to normalise all sorts of cultural disorders.

And you're right about the influence that these shows could have on kids growing up without good male role models. My dad, uncles, etc. always made it clear that treating women that way is NEVER ok.
