  • The Thorny Path is the name that sailors gave the route when island hopping to windward in the Caribbean. A lot of the thoughts and techniques we use and talk about come from or are reinforced by the cruising legend Bruce Van Sant. This is his popular guide for cruising the Thorny Path. amzn.to/2O606qF

@Tula's Tech Talk Hey guys. How about doing an episode about the type of I-pad that you use and using Navionics. Also include what type of electronics that you guys use and also what Backup Systems you have. Thanks!!!

Interesting Billy. So your plans sort of changed later after you got to St. Croix. Care to comment about why?

Well the only thing that really changed was that we left to Grenad from St. Croix rather than from points a little further east. Mostly because we were short on time and we had a northerly wind shift which gave us a pretty good run from St. Croix. Anymore windward work to get East would have almost been a waste. Unless of course we didn't get the wind shift North of East.
