It's a shame that they are breaking up those rocky hills to provide more space for housing. Those rocky hills are features that make the landscape look more interesting and attractive, instead of just being flat. Once you get rid of the hills, you cannot replace them. Thanks for sharing.

Wow... I think considering the fact that Guzape is a phase 1 district along with asokoro and maitama. Because of the big modern design structures, Guzape may later be the most expensive city in Abuja once its fully developed. A plot of land could be going for 800 million in a matter of 5 to 10years, asokoro on the other hand has old structures but still holds its value

While there ask them to explain how they govern the area such as managing growth, provision of security and infrastructure, property taxation, provision of educational services, etc.

I am hoping that the FCTA or whoever is in charge of projects should begin the necessary work of landscaping the entire district!
It is almost annoying that Nigerians on the whole ( and i have come across many on this forum) only see the "beauty" of the erected houses to call the neighbourhood beautiful!
There's by far too much ( many) debris lying around outside even supposedly completed buildings!
Heaps of sand, heaps of gravel , stacks of broken bricks and stones, and general garbage are left behind scattered all over place.
Whoever is in charge need to start landscaping and maintenance ASAP.
Guzape should be on par with Asokoro and Maitama!
    No excuses acceptable!!
Special Love to Bigwillz for highlighting and outing the problem!

Very big and beautiful, I just hope as the rich are building homes in the cities in Nigeria, they will also consider taking over the forest for farming and chase away the bandit and kidnapers, and to stop importing grain from the white man's land, what is the point of building beautiful houses, while you leave in fear, when there is insecurity in the country, solider are in the Barack sleeping. Our leaders lack wisdom, very soon there will lack of food and only the poor will suffer, so how can they leave in peace?

Atrocious!!! Do this place has city or municipal government? Why would they allow someone to excavate a beautiful mountain to build a house??? Environmental destruction. Haba! The area is now susceptible to EROSION which will pollute properties located in low lying areas from the building. The owner of that property must be made to recover or replant the excavated section of the mountain.
I hope the local government is charging high property tax to cover provision of infrastructure and security in the area.
