Warframe:

First he starts off as a terrifying enemy who is supposed to be dead according to Lotus. So the fear of an unkillable enemy lingers in your head.
Then he turns one of the big bads of the story into his slave science experiment. Like wtf even Ballas is scared of him and is now being led around on a chain by this horrible creature.
Then this quest pops and for no reason what so ever, none, he becomes the lapdog of his former slave? Like wtf happened? This mfer was going to conquer the universe, and instead allows his pet project to not only do it but becomes his henchman? A muthafucking orokin pos that he hates more than any thing, who has been known in the past to come up with treacherous plots?
Yeah no Erra was completely fucking wasted as a character and this plot progression makes absolutely no sense.

i found veso losing faith and in the end going against his orders to (succesfully) take the murex down with him just a bit better. otherwise kahls entire part was way better
@Phillip K it was honestly nice to see actually humanity in each faction . Some follow blind faith other following orders doing what they gotta do. But when things happen like that. You gotta listen to your self and do what you gotta do. And I respect that.. just wish there was more moments like that.

I realized that the reason that the New War took so long was that they were building the equivalent of a new game. The sheer amount of thing in this quest alone and the game length of this one quest is atonishing. What they made is basically a third to half a linear action game.
Yeah for me it honestly felt like i was playing a diffrent game most of the time but it still felt like warframe in some ways. I loved it
@@shawngarza12 well, it's sorta this in between as it's basically old school Warframe but without the clunkiness and cracked sprint speed.
Considering it took them 4 years to get this out, I'd say it's not that crazy. In facts I find it underwhelming the fact that after the new war, nothing really changed for your gameplay, apart from new narmer missions.
@@liamyani5142 yeah that's my main gripe on NW. I played it, leveled Naratuuk or whatever (fun bow) then hopped off and probably won't be back unless they drop something as big as U13 was.
However, I AM glad they wrapped up this... story arc. It's been way too long.
If you paid 60 dollars for the content equivalent of 3 time what this quest gave you would demand a refund. It took this long because of no motion cap and basically recoloring 2 open worlds. We got no War, and the other segments where far to easy and short. It lasts 5 hours because we were locked in on using weak characters.
If you had access to you arsenal through the quest its 2 hours max.
I loved the fact that the sentient so commited to veiled everyone, they even veiled corpus domestik drone in orb vallis stealth level. Domestik drone with little horns on it is just so cute so precious 😂😂😂😂
That and the dropships in the narmer bounties. Like do they need to brainwash their modes of transportation?

Glad I'm not the only one who for a moment forgot about operator fall damage and dove straight down instead of taking the elevator 😆
I did not BUT i made a mistake by reloading siccoro while going down on elevator
I made that mistake like 5 separate times while playing as the Drifter
i barely jumoed of once, i didn't stop because i remembered fall damage but because i tought i have to go up again, so ima need the elevator anyway abd forgot that there is always another elevator on the other end.
I flipped off an elevator when stalker appeared for the first time
First mission as Drifter in the Narmer grineer encampment. I forgot (multiple times embarrassingly enough) that you can void dash as the drifter, so fell into the Abyss part of the map. Then finally got passed that and fell off a steep slope. Thought to myself "oh yeah, fall damage is a thing in games."

Honestly loved the quest,loved kahl beating the living shit out of that sentient with the Corinth prime,I have new found respect for veko and teshin.....R.i.P, one thing I didn't like about the quest was how they made umbra a sac of potatoes after we leave our frame and they got rid of the drifter skill set after we finished the quest so make that 2 things but all in all great game 8/10 can't wait to see duviri in 4 years or so...

I used wukong for the quest and my celestial twin kept slashing at ballas during the cutscene with my nikana. Funniest shit I'd seen all day
This was a good ass quest and I loved playing Tenshin and even experience how it feels to play the other factions we fight. Also this quest revealed if a Grineer grunt is given tenno weapons they would be unstoppable
I finally understand why we keep stealing relics from them

That's why they nerfed the ballistas even though they weren't using tenno weapons. Imagined what they would do with a rubico prime and no cue
I'm just imagining a rank 2 loading into a mission on Mars and getting deleted by 30 lancers all using Rubico primes and all the scorpions using galatine primes

I honestly didn’t find it that hard, apart from not knowing what the fuck I was doing during the archon boss fights, it was pretty much a cake walk. The Jackal fight as Veso took some time to figure out though…
@@tomasg851 it does have a small aoe, with multishot and penetration it'll tear groups apart too
@@darbodrake89 It doesn't, however, the projectile is extra THICC and has infinite punch-through on bodies, hence the feeling of AoE.
It's easy to test, in the Simulacrum, with no mods:
-Fire near an enemy's feet (no hit detected, so no AoE)
-Fire at an enemy through a surface (no hit either, so no punch-through on terrain)
-Fire at a line of enemies (as many hits as enemies lined up, so infinite punch-through against bodies)
-Fire at a tight group of enemies, not lined up (multiple hits, tho it's a bit inconsistent, so the projectile itself as a big hitbox)
I'm slightly concerned if people got blown out during the New War. I think the worst thing that happened to me was the game saying eat shit when I wanted to lock onto Nira and getting poisoned to shit after she jumped through the ceiling. Even then the fight was just running around a pillar and shooting her in the butt
7:19 This is EXACTLY how i felt when i played that section with the Drifter. That whole mission imo felt like i was Snake or just felt like a metal gear solid mission. Glad i wasn't the only one who had that feeling

Lol yeah I thought I would've got spotted but nope it was fine. Realistically you would get spotted and the base would be on high alert Eben if you turned on the alarms but warframe AI aren't quite that good. I would like some proper stealth mechanics

The most hilarious thing was me watching every one special out necromech and rail gun for the mission. I just roll through the quest with a unmodded necromech and rail jack.
I was there trying to equip my Tatsu for the last stretch since it fits more aesthically with my warframe choice (Nyx with her recent/2nd deluxe skin), but NOPE had to equip the paracesis. and for what? It wasn't neccessary the sentient were level 20 at most it was just for the DAMN CUTSCENE THAT LASTED 2 FUCKING SECONDS IT HAD 2 SECONDS OF SCREEN TIME DURING THAT LAST QUEST

and here i was spending hours fashion framing the fuck out of my nidus ready to actually be a one man army against 1000 sentients in the planes of eidolon. then this "War" ends so freaking fast i had to do a double take to think, wait... that's it?
Tbh this is the best quest in Warframe by FAR and wow i enjoyed it, but it was not what i expected.

It was a bit of lazy righting. “Oh, you are an unkillable demigod? Well, I suppose I should make challenging maps and boss fights, coupled with logical explanations in the lore, to not only challenge you, but explain why your power doesn’t work against X. Or, I could just take your powers away and give the bosses invulnerability phases, because fuck you!”
This is why I love you man u turn a 4 hour quest into a 15 minutes enjoyable video I love your works!

This quest still has the weirdest glitch I've seen in warframe. My drifter was dark skinned while my operator was white. But at the choice somehow my drifter had 2 heads, one with white skin the other with dark, both clipping together. Man had 4 ears and it looked like he was wearing a mask that was just someone elses face it was so weird
We had the same glitch bro. I did not know our operator was the drifter until after a good while. I didn't even know who the person in the zariman was because I was a girl, and the person in the zariman looked like a boy with 2 faces trying to blend in. I thought it was supposed to be like that because our operators first line was "what the hell" so I thought it was supposed to be like that. I still enjoyed the quest tho

For me it just swapped some clothing colors during the last cutscene.
That genuinely made me laugh out loud reading that glitch.
Had similar when after the drifter operater choice I turned into my Valkyr prime, awoke from the focus chair, then asserted dominance (t pose), and couldn't continue until I relogged in.

The most fun i had in the quest was honestly teshins zip line. That thing has proper physics for some reason. That means you can fly in an arc to build up even more speed.
Wich makes the Titanfal player in me excited.
Meanwhile my biggest disapointment is that the drifter is just a skin for the operator... nothing more. No, DE. I wouldnt want to use the K-drive as the operator. Or use wapons. Or have the drifter actually be more then a skin to buy more skins for.

Considering what we saw in the trailers, what drifter says in the quest and their size I'm pretty sure we will get an ability to use warframe weapons as a drifter in the next cinematic quest.

Somewhere in the designs of faces and bodies for tenno (operator and Drifter) didn't even closely meet. To give the idea Yeah on a older then the other or has there ever been one face type in the whole game and I didn't notice?
My main complaint is how little sentient there was. Sure they were common enemies but they didn't play much of a role

@@michaelhuss0 Not really, the choice of the name is permanent. No matter how the skin looks like, If you choose Lotus, she will always be named Lotus. The name is permanent, the looks don't. Kind of like whatever, but a good reminder nontheless

Its a shame there's no further hints at the frames being semi-sentient in this one, especially the already established Umbra but I guess it would have distracted from the main plot.
I'm hoping for something like that for a future story.
There is a small part, but it's only mearly like a nudge nudge in that when the operator tries to hold Natah from flying into the void the warframe reaches out for you first without transference input,
@@LakritsUwU i used umbra for the quest and during that part i full on expeted my umbra to wake up and just yank me and lotus out of the portals pulling force but he didnt :(

Late reply lmao but I really wish Umbra.. Y'know, did something. Like, not enough to disrupt the questline, but maybe during those transference sequences he could actively be watching or trying to pull the operator back while holding onto Natah. Maybe some sort of solemn stare at the end when Balas dies, that would have been really cool to see Umbra react to, but nah

Other than that the campaign is hella fun, broken facial animations but genuinely entertaining and there’s a lot of new things.

Duringn Erra nd Dax duel, I actually managed to somehow push Erra offscreen, and after a moment they both came back, still slapping Erra like a bag of potatoes (fun fact, you can bliok during this fight). After a moment, their both AI got janked and I ended up Erra watching Dax spin rapidly for 10 seconds like a beyblade.

i think they will add the operator clothes to the drifter overtime its just an issue of having to resize and rescale everything to fit on the drifter model

If you want to wait another 2 years for New War while they get all the cosmetics remodeled for the Drifter, which has a completely different bone structure and movement set, I guess more power to ya, but I'm good with quest now, update cosmetics as we go. What I still want is a key bind to put the hood up or down, and maybe one to hot swap between Drifter and Operator mid mission. Or make it random which one pops out. That'd be fun.

At the very end I picked Lotus to be Lotus, Margulis seems likes most unethical option as we are telling her to become someone they aren't, Natah seems like a great choice as that's canon who she REALLY is, that's what she really is but not necessarily who she wanted to be, that's why in my opinion Lotus is the best choice as under this name she started to love us the Tenno and found her true inner self, but I can't blame you for picking Margulis xD, BOOBA.

Maybe I’m asking for too much but I can’t be the only one who felt kinda empty finishing the quest. It kinda felt like the war never happened despite the age of Ballas presumably lasting a a long time. Don’t get me wrong the quest was damn good, just wish there was more post- new war stuff
I’m sure there will be more things explained in the duviri paradox concerning the war. there’s still a pretty big plot time that is missing in this story, and it’s the part of the drifters timeline before entering the mainstream operator timeline. and during then, I’m sure the drifter will see more of the war

Yeah it was so meh like umbra is forgotten, saving others from control was forgotten knowing it could have been missions and nothing else to do after that. I hope the witch queen do better

The roomba running around in a circle in the first Veso room cracked me up
I'm going to be honest, I liked the stealth parts. Though not exactly difficult stealth, it was a break-away from the standard Warframe formula of just diving in and atomizing anything within a mile of you.
New War certainly had its flaws in both a mechanical and narrative sense, but it was an enjoyable experience nonetheless.
Just wished we got rewarded for doing the optional stuff. Spent an additional two to three hours alone just trying to find the last two Ostrons in Cetus before I realized they showed up on my minimap.
I wish the drifter kept the abilities from when you played the quest. It's just a taller operator? Doesn't even have access to the cosmetics
i'm almost sure that they will do more stuff with the drifter next year!

It delivered a lot. Instead of holding shift while playing story missions, hold RMB or couch to RP walk and get immersed into athmosphere
The only thing i don't like about this quest was they don't used umbra even after what ballas did to him
Yeah I even made sure to bring him along for the whole quest and not even a mention, he even just deactivated like the rest when you arnt piloting him.
The issue is you'd need to have a check that sees if you're using one specific Warframe out of dozens in the game, animate brand new cutscenes just for that one frame, give either a new story arc or full lore explanation for it and then have to fix all the bugs that would occur with all that code.

@@gabrielrisso2320 I think it's our timeline, but as we were healing from being stabbed by Ballas, some Void magic pulled our other self from his timeline to take care of things while we were gone
This quest was really good, just wish that it was honestly longer, like they did erra dirty, they could’ve shown how ballas was able to overtake everything instead of just throwing us into the void, but it was still really fun
Honestly best part about the Quest was the mail you get after completing it where in german they literally call Ballas "Balls"
What "War" was there even? What the Grineer and Corpus did at the start was fighting back a surprise attack. And then... they all held hands and rubbed their masks while we were not there to do any... War.
Shank some fools, shoot some arrows. Use a way overpowered Necramech and Railjack for... moving 10 meters each.
Picked Umbra for the explicit reason to allow him to stab someone again. Couldn't even do that.
Also: Ye olden "take a bit too long before realising that the scenery is somehow part of that 'boss fight'" again...

I think nearly everyone is going with the drifter because it's new and I love the way you can decorate the outside of the drifter camp so more possibilities for shenanigans and I love the look to the new free roams but I haven't checked demios so I could be wrong
I think there are a good chunk of us who thought there would be branching missions, and that choosing Drifter would mean more of that...

In the part with the elevators, I was jumping while it was going down and I died of fall dmg while riding an elevator
I reloaded the gun while riding down. Reloading fixed me in place and after the animation ended I had to do the mission from the start again :/

Drifter is our Tenno that DIDN'T come back from the void, didn't get powers and therefore aged up.

Here’s my prediction. The man in the wall is our tenno, the ones that didn’t have marghulis to raise them. They were simply killed as devils without a mom to advocate for them. Ballas therefore never betrayed the orokin because marghulis never died, hunhow never sent Natah.
@@kittentamer2164 Our tenno can't be MITW for two reasons : He existed before the Orokin discovered the void , and the requiem mod Oull description points towards him being an independent eldritch entity.
Plus Ballas was always planning on betraying the Orokin, he was the one who invented the first sentients , which went to Tau to build a new civilization , which was why our ship took the jump from Saturn and was lost. The sentients were always planned by Ballas to return and wage war. Margulis death just gave him another excuse to do so

Its weird what during the quest there was no mention of other factions leaders. Queens and their liches aint pushovers for sure, Neth and Parvos does have resourses and personell to do alot , Deimos family probably does have entire herd of necramechs (and we bloody farm dem equipment for them on daily basis), not to mention properly stimulated infested AKA first antisentients biomechanical weapon. Not a single mention of all this important people during quest time
