I ordered the expanded capacity battery pack from Nintendo themselves and it did not come with a screwdriver.
The M logo is probably Mitsumi. They are common partner for Nintendo parts. Many Switch adapters were made by Mitsumi. I remember some of the motherboards of the Wii/U and Wii Remote were theirs.
edit: I watched carefully this part of the video and yes, it's indeed Mitsumi.
That makes a lot of sense, thanks!
When you took the blade to the new one, I was thinking, this may not end well...
It so easily could have. I wouldn't recommend it 😂
It looked somewhat possible to make your own battery if you removed their wires. I suppose that's a good thing to know in the future if they ever run out of replacements
Hi Matt 👋
I really enjoyed watching your video 😊
Actually I searched everywhere i didn't find the answer
Now am closer ☺️
The issue is the 4 wire's
B, R, G, W
Black i guess is -
And the Red is the +
Gray and white are the ground wire right
Ok then I should put 3 cable B, R, W
The gray wat does in particular 🙂
Sorry for the long explain
I want to do this as my Wii u controller holds no charge at all. Concerned though because all the reviews of the batteries online suggest they're rubbish, not nearly the capacity they claim to be and short-lived. Can you still get official Nintendo ones?
Probably, ask Nintendo. No issues at all so far with the aftermarket battery
I've heard pretty bad reviews of those third party batteries. How much life does the new battery still hold? Does it even work at all?
It works absolutely fine, not really sure how long it lasts as we have never had it die mid session.
I recently went inside mine to replace out the wireless module. Apparently they go quite commonly.
What are the symptoms of that, perhaps that is what was happening to this one. It would occasionally day it was losing wireless signal even when next to the unit
@@backofficeshow I would get anomalous movements on the controls, like a movement continuing after I'd let go of the direction, followed by a loss of connection. It would throw a wobbler if it was more than 3 feet away and not in direct line of sight.
i had this replacement battery and it was crap! went with a bolt on pack instead
Oh no!! I like the idea of a bolt on. I'm not entirely convinced that there was a battery issue as this one still lasted for ages, but I'm hoping to not have to go in and investigate something in likely not going to be able to repair 😂
Such an under rated consoles the poor Wii u
I had to replace my battery on mine.
What size battery came out and what size battery went in? 😂
@@backofficeshow I forgot what came out and 2 of the 18650 went in. I modded mine.
