They need to make strength and endurance leveling a sliding scale.
At green weight, you level mostly endurance and a little bit of strength, and at orange weight you level mostly strength and a little endurance, rather than picking up a handful of 9x19 ammo and suddenly every bit of physical exertion goes straight to your arms.
I think that would be a excellent change to strength and endurance leveling.
I love this idea
Bsg hire this man
100% I absolutely agree
A rework for the endurance skill would be nice, I mean, if you run with weight irl, you're endurance will inevitably get better over time... not only strength.
agreed
I think the fact that you need to balance what you bring in, often having to opt for weaker caliber gun or weaker armor, is a cool extra decision making layer that is added to the game.
Maybe some balancing is needed on the numbers, but I do like the idea that you cannot go in fully kitted with 7.62, bulky armor, and expect to Usain Bolt across the map.
Agree! I wouldn't mind seeing like an extra 2KG before we go overweight, but I find it an interesting challenge
Thats the problem isnt it? you need to cutback so much in every detail so you can "maybe" not go in overweight if you want to play higher claiber guns. Now where is the cutback for smgs etc. you can level both endurance and strenght and are much more accurate, bullets are a little weaker but if you go for faceshots ap 6.3 is enough. You are just fucking over everyone that enjoys these guns which are actually lets say for labs the only real choice for 1 hs on raiders.
@@fumble5330 smgs are pretty muched locked to cqc unlike rifles.
@@JonathanFlexx yeah but most combat is cqc at that point its just playstyle if you want to snipe or whatever.
@@fumble5330 if you're going lightweight with an smg, to stay underweight you'd have to run lesser armor, if not a helmet, you got serious issues if your bp ak and .308 mdr can't outfuck an mp5.
The last clip is premium.
Damn velcro grenades
Great little run-down for weight-based loadouts, JDog. Thank you for the effort you put into these vids, buds.
This is just what I needed, I loved this video! Very interesting, informative, and will probably change the way I play~
Glad you enjoyed!
YOU (trained military dude): Feels exhausted when you wear more than shoes and and a bottle of water;
SCAV (drunk hobo): Does "Shooter Born In Heaven" on Customs with a broken PP-91;
Never change, Tarkov!
Some of my favourite content of yours is the gun builds, you have an amazing talent for having very stylish and functional builds, so you've spoiled us with this!
the timing of this video is epic ive literally been staring at my stuff in stash trying to figure it out Thank you!! keep up the good content sir
Glad it helps!
Me casually running a sniper and comtacs then taking my first victims kit.
Good video, this is a guide I didn't know I needed!
Thanks!
The AKSU is a massively underrated gun in Tarkov. The small size lets you work corners amazingly well, and it's snappy as fuck when you need to quickly ADS on a target.
Anonther fellow enjoyer I see
Will definitely try out that low weight m4 next time around, sweet guide just what i needed
You can also definitely add some extra weight to it for more stats, but I thought it was neat making a rifle under 3KG
I honestly do not mind the weight changes that much, prior to this wipe people would load shotgun shells into their backpack to level strength so it's really a balance that cannot satisfy everybody at once. And while people will always cheese skills somehow I think it's nice that weight seems to matter a little more, prior to the change you were mostly concerned with the threshold of popping a MULE stim, now there is a little more nuance to it!
I think the change is good and healthy for the game but with the general nerfs to strength AND the overweight threshold being lowered at the same time it's a bit of a kick in the nuts, I find it hard to try and find a decent t3 loadout to take in that's under 21kg without severely limiting myself. Albeit this video did open some avenues to kits I hadn't noticed before. But like I said, it's a good and welcomed change just needs to be fine tuned a bit (like people not having to take shells into raid but also not having to completely limit themselves.)
Id rather consciously have to run light gear than do stupid stuff like put a bunch of sas drives in my docs case
@@Peadeymclovin My point is that there's a happy medium. They just handed strength a nerf AND made the carry weight for being overweight much much lower than it used to be. If they just nerfed strength but kept the OW threshold the same we would be seeing people level strength for a few levels, then find themselves being able to level endurance for a level or two as their carry weight increases due to strength levelling up.
I had problem aswell with the news weight system..., thank for the vid big help !!!!
this video amazing jman
Been loving the budget tier 6 rig, thanks for the recommendation!
No problem!
This helps because I’m level 40 with lvl 11 endurance lol
very well made video i like
I like it. Maybe a touch to extreme but the idea is a good one for sure
5-7, shrimp, or shotguns are great for staying light
Great video, more guides like this one pls
Thanks!
I don't watch a *lot* of tarkov content, but so far, the only things I've heard about the endurance leveling nerf is complaining. I really appreciate that you went out of your way to actually provide a solution. I love the mid-game budget guides too :D
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching!
I don't have level 3 traders yet, but I've been running this 4.9 kilo VPO-136 build that slaps. Ultimak M1-B gas tube + handgaurd combo from Skier 1, TT AK muzzle adapter (Skier 1) to mount the DTK-1 (Skier 2). Bastion dust cover (Skier 1), AK-74 Polymer Stock (Prapor 1) with GP-25 rubber butt pad (Prapor 2) I've got a Perst-3 laser (flea market) and a Monstrum 2x (Jaeger 2) with an AK 55 30-round mag (Prapor 2).
The gun comes in at 4.9 kilos with a full mag of 7.62x39 PS, 49 Ergo with 90 Vertical Recoil. And serves as a very effective, lightweight option at level 2 traders.
While I think it is neat to have the weight system push you to use lightweild builds, it's kind of a moot point in a game about looting everything. Once you loot a few items, you're already overweight and having a lightweight kit is meaningless again.
I like that. Gives the rats a little edge when playing against gigachads
Another great video and…a music change?! I love it!
Thanks!
I've looked into some of the AK's and came to the conclusion that a dustcover isnt worth the weight. Its lighter to go with the Kobra mount, you always go unsuppressed which means ergo should never be an issue and the lightest pistol grip is the AK-12. The Magpul RVG foregrip is the sweet spot in recoil vs weight. For the stock you go Archangel or sometimes PT-3 when available. That means with the VS Combo you get an operational AK74N for 3.4kg.
Thats actually pretty good, I should have messed with them more. Kinda figured they would be too heavy
@@JDogth3Wise well they might be to heavy after all its more you can shave off a few grams* from your AKSU build.
I’ve been running pistols just to get away with running a class 5. No helmets. Black Berkut backpack is the lightest. HJELM and Tak-Kek if I’m running NVGs. GSSH headsets (use windows loudness equalization). It’s a balance. I’m maybe 200 raids, 16 endurance, 24 str.
Also 5.45, 5-7, and 5.56 ammo is pretty light. TX15 barter makes it ez just swap to an M4 receiver for full auto.
I’m surprised how light the SCAR is!
its great that we have to consider what we bring with us. I applaud bsg for their this decision
It feels kind of cool crafting together a Lightweight kit
Great video!! I definitely think endurance is fairly restrictive as it stands. It does make you think about what you run, but when you are low rank you are stuck with the choice of thinking about stats or what you run. I feel it is a harsh penalty because even running a light load you will loot and be over. Which you mention.
f1 skeleton pistol grip is skier 3 btw
Pretty sure there is multiple styles at different levels
I like the change but think the numbers still need to be tweaked, I think it would be perfect if you got yellow at 22 kg by default rather than somewhere around 20 kg. The 2 kg makes a big difference early on to prevent basically any armor besides the paca making you overweight
The VAL & VSS are pretty lightweight for their dmg output. Also the P90 is less heavy unsuppressed, recoil is still good with the subsonics recoil bonus. Same applies to the MP7 unsuppressed with subsonics.
True, the ammo is heavy though. Worth a look though!
It would be cool if being light gave you more primary benefits than just leveling your endurance. Like you're quieter or something.
I don't think "you get skill points" should be the primary motivation, as it's a bit contrived.
Well actually you can move quieter, and move faster, I forgot to make those points in the video.
@@JDogth3Wise That makes sense, but it's not why people are doing it currently far as I can tell. It doesn't seem like enough benefit by itself at the moment, so primary motivation is the points. Which I guess is better than no one caring, but yeah I'd like it to be more of an organic, actual strategic choice.
kill @ 12:17 is cracked though
rip about that last clip, i didnt see the nade initially, but i slowed the video down and you can just barely see it fly exactly at that corner lmao
There'll probably be a Jeager quest added at some point about running a certain distance while under a specific weight. Something unreasonable like 10KG so you can't bring anything amazing into a raid.
Call the quest Run, Forrest, Run
don't sleep on the SHRIMP! at LL3 prapor you get ammo that's 35 pen and is very cheap! plus, you can get the shimp and suppressor off the flea for way cheaper than prapor sells it. I'd use it right now, cause when they add the SR-2, they're probably going to rework 9x21 somehow to make it worse for balance.
Wake up babe J Dog posted
Did the grenade at the end get stuck in you? God I hate grenade audio in this game. It's ridiculous. Good vid, thanks.
Yep I'm back to Trooper, M4 and Thunderbolt. Feels like 3 wipes ago haha.
I remember recommending the Haley rig wayyyy before weight mattered, feels neat to be back at the same topic and it actually has meaning.
the nade at the end was attached to a string and to your vest. otherwise that would not have been possible! :D
nice
Im baised and like the weight restriction simply because even if i wasn't concerned about it before, what it asks and requires out of the kit is what i often enjoyed running the most before this change ever even happened. Supreme coincidence I suppose but all the same i like not just the kit changes but also fact not everyone can be as silent as a leave while wearing 30kg of gear, that crap always infuriated me.
For super budget kits the VPO-209 requires a shoat out, its not the lightest thing but good luck finding anything with that pen or damage that can come in at around 3kg for the cost per effectiveness.
good
I miss recommendation for Bolt action guns, these are all just CQC guns.
its neet but its really annoying after i get some good loot and im trying to get out
Im fine with the weight change system. The problem is the ridiculous way in which the skills are leveled. Strength should level based on you getting beefy, whereas Endurance should level based on distance traversed. The fact that only one of these can be leveled at a time is a big cause of the angst imo.
Agree! I liked it when strength leveled from walking and endurance from sprinting
I just think the scale is a bit too low, I think they should make anything from 25KG and under lightweight and then after that you go overweight, that just gives you a few more options in my opinion but will make quite a bit of a difference
Keep your eyes on what you keep in your safe container and for meds. Do you really need that docs container full of keys on woods, or a 2kg full injector case when you don't even use it that often. Slimming down on unnecessary items is easiest way to be able to use an 8kg SVDS and LVL4 Helm and armor with no huge corners being cut
Yea I noticed how heavy the red rebel and my docs case was for sure
@@JDogth3Wise the BEAR knife you get with your account is the lightest knife in the game right next to the ugly scav knives. I thought about going without one but breaking windows is still useful! Keep up the high quality content 👌
If BSG really wants to be realistic, running should only level Endurance and squats for Str
Don't need endurance points when you are addicted to sj6 :)
They need to rework the way item weight is handled. A headset might weight .5kg but it won't feel like it when being carried ergonomically.
Anything equipped should weigh less than it's true weight because it's being carried ergonomically. Weight should only effect how fast the stamina decreases when your are exerting yourself; sprinting, jumping, etc. Stamina should always regenerate regardless of weight unless you're exerting yourself. No gear should effect your ergo.
Items should weigh less when carried in "proper" slots. Like magazines in vest slots for example or, better yet, they should just restrict what items can be put into vests. Limit it to nades, meds and and ammo.
The problem is how punishing being overweight is if they added more overweight levels(i am aware that there are diffrent levels of overweight already but we need less inertia/overweigt at the start) so you dont get punished as much for like being 5 kgs overweight so you can still play what you want but you still have some downside like not leveling endurance etc.
i didnt know drd armor is the doccccc
Elite strength is still massively OP, even with the nerfs, was confused when they made the changes, more people will get closer to max strength. A mixture of increased movement speed, decrease equipment load, mixed with the games desync is not fun
Well at least elite strength is somewhat less intense now haha
Also, bois, don’t forget to leave your melee weapon in your stash
change does't brother me it really has't affect me as i dont try to min max skills so yeah...
Good attitude!
im lvl 24 and lvl 4 endurance...gg bsg.....
My fucking SCAV has a higher endurance than my PMC now... And I dont even SCAV that much... 2.4 Scav Karma
yea my trained veteran of a private military cant carry basic equipment!
The weight system is completely fucked as far as I'm concerned. Last wipe I had level 30+ strength and only level NINE endurance. It just doesn't make any sense. I should not be able to lopside the skill gains between the two THAT much. All BSG is doing is asking for people to go in completely naked and run around with no weapon and no gear, in a war zone.
Yea I agree, it always seems to be lopsided one way or the other
lol when ur high lvl and can even afford a hexgrid u need not worry about anything lol thats what stims are for, rich chads are 24/7 fully buffed, this is an RPG to lol without the lvl balance unlike the other 99% of RPG's lol lvl7 vs lvl77 fully buffed with enchanted wep/armor lol
why not take a paca? it weighs less
Lower armor class
@@JDogth3Wise makes sense
That’s a foqing joke, with 25lvl strength my endurance is only 7
i really like that weight is important, I honestly wish it was more so. I wish that being overweight made inertia hit harder and slowed you down more intensely. It would be nice to have a tangible benefit for running light SMGS
I’m lvl 42 strength, getting those last levels in before I can push endurance a but more
KK
Lvl 45 strength and lvl 9 endurance… RIP
Same brother :(
how do you get good strength
@@MyShortsAreWet_ load in with yellow weight, run 1 stamina bar (can use stims to get abit more i think) and just keep doing that for probably around 400-600 raids and you should be 51 in str.
@@pwnnr13 that's a lot of damn raids but thanks
"Available as a great Barter Trade from Ragman LL3 for leveling Endurance"
If you're still leveling Endurance at Ragman LL3, you have far bigger problems to consider.
There is lots of people at level 45+ this wipe with like 7 endurance.
And I highly doubt most / many players have elite endurance or strength right now.
imagine taking the time to make a guide , then telling us to wear lvl 3 armor. all credibility gone. I stoped watching at that point.
I go over the lightest armor for each class available for purchase, and Class 3 armor is just fine for rat / loot runs
Tbf this isn't a "how to be a Chad" video. And he did give higher tier armor suggestions too so if you stopped watching at that point, you kinda missed that part.
class 3 is perfectly fine to wear. you dont gotta run around with 4 or 5 all the time.
imagine making a comment without watching the rest of the video where he goes over T4, T5 and even T6 armor
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL THIS GOON oh my god. YOU STOPPED WATCHING at.... the point he discusses HIGHER TIER ArMMOOOOOOOOOOR
