  • Welcome to the 7th episode of DJI Enterprise Talks.
DJI Director of Public Safety and Integration, Chief Wayne Baker, caught up with the Law Enforcement Drone Association (LEDA) team at their annual training conference for police officers.
They chatted about how using drones in day-to-day tasks impacts the Law Enforcement community, and how LEDA assists the community in successfully integrating drones into everyday workflows through training, standardization, and more.

Personally i won’t ever get a part 107 if people can’t mind their own business and not cause damage to my equipment law enforcement is out of control . When my drone was taken all I asked for was prof that they had my property but 79 days from purchase and still no receipt of them confiscating or having my stuff! The only reason that dude shut up my drone was because he thought I was spying on him or somebody on his property. I would look at their property I was looking at the highway but when I went back and checked the footage, he has some buildings going on on his property and I bet you he don’t have a permit, but he’s got one by now though.

I Have TWO question How many Lawyers were at this event to discuss the legality of the Law and not a Marketing Manager to sell they Products and not to Violate The Constitution Of The United States Of America 2nd Question are they are Case Laws involving reasonable expectation of Privacy when using a Drone and do you any warrant Issued By A Court order and Sign By A Judge eventfully you will have to Court in My Opinion This would Be A Case for The Institute Of Justice

Can a civilian become a licensed drone pilot and contract work through police agency that may not yet have drones or provide back up assistance for those law enforcement agencies that do use drones?

Each agency can set their own policy on civilian contractors. There may also be state laws that govern that. In my area one major law enforcement agency does not allow civilian drone operators and another major one contracts with a civilian drone operator.

Is there a group or even information you could point me toward for Emergency personnel to get information on building a drone program. Our department has a Mavic enterprise we are looking to gain more knowledge and efficiency with it. Thank-you
