Thank you, sir, very informative video.
Thanks for sharing the personal experience for a job hunt. I am on the same boat right now, really not sure how to go about searching the area and a decent job that I like in hospital medicine.

Very helpful
1 on 2 off?! 😲 You’re still working half the month (like the usual 7/7 schedule) but you get a large chunk of time off to do whatever you want. It doesn’t get any better than that.
It really doesn’t !! 😂
As a PGY2; I do appreciate this video. Did not know 1/3 week work possible
Hello Waqas!
Thank you for this really helpful video. I’m graduating from residency in a few months and similarly looking for jobs within a 2 hour radius from NYC. It would be really helpful if I could get your insights and experience with this process. Thank you!
Me too, if you get some helpful hints that helped you drop in here
Good 👍
Appreciate this video. Looking for inpatient psychiatry positions and am going to use your strategies!
Let me know if it’s helpful. If you have any questions, feel free to message me here or LinkedIn.
Congrats on your first job.
Thank you !!! Appreciate it!!!
Can you also make a video about why you didn’t decide on pursuing a fellowship and the future of hospital medicine in corporate medicine. Thanks.
Ok, I’ll make one on that topic soon!!!
Can you provide details of the interviews, questions that were asked and how to prepare for one?
Ok, I will make a video on possible questions you can get asked, and will try to upload by end of this week!!!
do they make you sigh Do Not Disclose agreement about the contract ?
What about bonus terms ? are those written down . Thank you
As far as I know there’s no “Do not disclose” clause, and bonus terms are usually listed, however how much bonus is usually left out, d/t the fact bonus depends on how well the group/hospital did that particular quarter/year.
Lmk if you have more qs.
Hey nice video. Can you please tell me what's the average Salary of IM/FM academic hospitalist in upstate New York who just started after completing his/her residency? Thanks in advance😊
Hello Ahmed, so the salary can range depending on your responsibility, your shifts, and your negotiating skills. On average I would say you can earn anywhere from 240,000 to 300,000. If you have more questions, you can always dm me on my instagram. Lot of people have actually been asking for advice dming me on insta!

@@WShafiqueMD thanks a lot for your kind reply.
Actually according to my multiple sources the salary range for an academic hospitalist is something between $175K to $240K so I just wanted to make sure by asking you this question. I think the salary range which you share is about clinical roles not academic side..
@@ahmedzafar88 Yes you're right about academic positions. The range I listed were for clinical roles.
