    Self taught means you didn't go to school for it... How complicated is that lol

    This hurts my brain
 self-taught just means the person took the time to learn themselves rather than going to school for it.

      I understand what they're going for though tbh. I think the conversation should be made to attribute more credit to community. i know a lot of peers who say they're "self-taught" and have egos the size of a soccer field. maybe if they took on this kind of mentality of "community driven", they'd be more humble đŸ€·â€â™€ïž

      @@Tee-ic9vc but technically thats way to general because it aplyies to everything including learning how to walk, there is literally no such thing as learning a skill without taking input from anyone or anything else.

    Wow, a very groundbreaking take on an abstractive english term. The randomness.

    Says “self taught” is a myth and then proceeds to describe the literal definition of self taught. Did you think people meant they were learning by absorbing radio frequencies directly into their brain? 😂

    I guess being self-directed is the reason why it's called self-taught right!? đŸ€”
    Different from being taught by an instructor in a Bootcamp. 🙂

    • @OpenSauced
      @OpenSauced  Pƙed rokem

      Correct. Self taught or directed is learning from others just no official structure

    Self directed IS self taught.
    I can just stop and slack off at any time, no one HOLDS ME ACCOUNTABLE
    Therefore I am SELF taught
    To learn is to be disciplined

    Who taught the very first programmer to program?
