I don't see a comment about it, but the entire reason this thing was done - and you should watch it all - is that Fender Guitars created three signature custom guitar models in honour of the show!
Each model represents a different house - Stark, Lannister and Targaryean - and each were made with different symbols, trim, and in different shapes and styles to represent each house! THOSE were the guitars they were using to record this - beautiful works of art.

GOT is also my favorite show ever. I wish they would get together and do a version of "The Night King" or "Light of the Seven". Tom Morello from Rage Against the Machine who did the 2nd solo has one of the most unique and creative sounds you will ever hear. Brad Paisley really surprised me here. I didn't expect a country star to come in here and shred like that.
It's just such a pleasure to watch master musicians just shooting the s**t and playing off each other. And when several such guitarists join together it creates a wonderful forceful impact. If you haven't seen it, check out "It Might Get Loud," which had Jack White, Jimmy Page and The Edge on screen together.
How humble is Tom Morello introducing himself? I'd imagine Brad knew exactly who he was.
How does Scott Ian still look almost the same as in the '80's? He was apparently a Whitewalker on the show too.

These guys do a treatment of some classical pieces. Bach's toccata and fugue in d minor for example.
I like to imagine my air guitar would deserve a place in this group.
Polo the first guy to solo is the actually composer of the theme song. He also has many other theme songs for movies and TV shows. A notable them song is the new west world series that he composed. I love this theme song anything with strings has a chance to be epic. I saw a tour about 3 years ago that went around that was called the game of thrones experience. It consisted of the composer and 10 other people in his group along with the local orchestra that played all the games of thrones sound tracks live and the fight scene music live with the movie playing on a massive screen. It was one of the best shows I ever seen.
I have never seen the Games of Thrones but I watch this amazing cover quite often. Dan Weiss is the creator of GOT, Ramin Djawadi composer of GOT, Tom Morello from Audioslave/Rage Against
the Machine, Scott Ian of Anthrax, Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme, and Brad Paisley who can shred pretty great for a country music star. They were all playing on a collection of Fender custom guitars made just for GOT.

Usually you would be lucky to have one person driving the whole thing from behind the scenes. It is a rare thing to have so many in the same studio.
The sound in that room must have been epic.
For me, there was so much variation from each artist. It was incredible to hear everyone's take. Brad Paisley is ridiculously underrated as a guitarist. Think you'd love the Drumeo CZcams channel having famous drummers play drums on songs they've never heard before. Incredibly entertaining
It's so cool to see the other musicians reactions to what the others are performing. Brad Paisley ? WTF ? No doubt one of the best pickers ever but i was surprised seeing him among these other musicians who i didn't recognize at all. Think it's on the level of the Stevie Ray Vaughan "sound check" video. Truly amazing.
sir (or ma'am), if you don't know Nuno Bettencourt, Scott Ian, or Tom Morello, I strongly suggest you look into them.

I do believe you are becoming a guitar guy, Polo. The instrument has endless voices and moods. My son listened all the greats in the womb via headphones and now he too is a guitar great. GOT is my fave as well.
Scott Ian having such a great time playing rhythm makes me happy. Mr. Paisley is one to watch after that shredfest. Said it before, four guitar solo's and one Tom Morello solo. imagination in music? Who'd a thunk it?
My favorite show too! Theres video of orchestra and film from The Light of the Seven episode where Cersei blows up the High Sept. Itcwas shot at the Hollywood Bowl with full lighting effects to boot. Polo, you would love it!!!

Geoff Castellucci did "Rains of Castemere" from Game of Thrones August of last year.
He's portraying Tyrion, Jaime and Joffrey. And Tywin is sitting on the Iron Throne. It is epic. My favorite of all his videos and songs.
I only saw part of the show. Right after Joffrey got poisoned and died.
I also have 3 music pieces in my playlist by the original orchestra did them. "Theme", "Winter Has Come", "Light of Seven" (my favorite).

I never understood people's issues with GOT "faults." I watched it from day one and I loved every episode. MY only issue was how the Night King ended. Anyway all the shows you mentioned are great.

A lot of plots were not logical from previous seasons. You could tell the writing was rushed and not carefully thought out once they got to later seasons. Still amazing series that I can watch over and over again.

Hi big man it's your favourite English menace again Billy, just watched your reaction to Game of thrones, like you my favourite series ever, it was into series 7 and a young man started working with us, he kept on and on about this show, I constantly said John I don't do fantasy but he still kept on, so I eventually downloaded the first series,that was it, it had me hook line and sinker, I then watched the rest and watched about 60 episodes in less than three days, the sex violence was all there but not gratuitously, like you I've now watched the bloody lot again 4 times and never tire of it, one last thing, probably like every GOT fan certain characters you love or hate at first, then at the blink of a eye you completely change your opinion of them and than happens right till the end, anyway big man you take care keep up the great work English Billy.
I was also pissed about that same character in GOT. He was the best.

This shows how much music enhances a production. Game of Thrones also Is impressive with their opening visuals of each kingdom. I think most folks were getting their popcorn while listening to
the intro. What is accomplished with computer graphics is amazing. House of Dragons is good but not as impressive. I LOVE dragons! If they were real, I would hock everything I own to get one! Great shows…both. Keep listening.

GOT is my fav too. I still think the 3 eyed raven was behind everything from the beginning. All the way back to the building of the wall. I think it was a closed loop in which he could go back in time and possess people or animals or appear to them in their sleep to influence things in a way to achieve the goal both stopping the night king and of him ruling. That was the game between the night king and him. Bran just happened to be his last "host".
I'm a binge watcher. Son's & The Walking Dead" being my favorites. I've really been wanting to watch GOT, but haven't got to it yet. Now ... I'm sold, I'm watching tonight. I will also tell you, being married to a musician (guitarist) & my son being a musician (guitarist & bass) & he's in a band, has toured Europe & parts of the States, I can tell you when guys get in a room together with their guitars they're like guys at a garage messing with their cars! I LOVED walking dead I stopped watching it during the Negan era I believe. The show got too emotional and lifetimey with all that crying and wasted episodes. Still good times as a huge zombie fan.
So glad to hear your a zombie fan. I thought not only the story was A+ but who else on the planet could be RICK GRIMES! The acting, Melissa McBride, Lennie James, Steven Yeung ect. ect. There will never be another show or shows like "The Walking Dead", "S.O.A.", "Game of Thrones". This is why we binge watch! You got me hooked on "Game of Thrones" for sure. Peace to you as always! ❤️
