Thanks for another great video Joe. And especially thanks for the tip about BRUSHING the product onto the fabric roof rather than spritzing it on or using an aerosol product which, unless you tape off the surrounding area with plastic, undoubtedly gets overspray on the parts you DON'T want it and you spend a lot of time trying to get the sticky (and sometimes stainable) product from the surrounding areas. My wife has a convertible that I detail for her every so often and I usually protect the top with a fabric protectant. I used 303 Fabric last time but have used aerosols as well in the past. Being that the 303 is a liquid, brush application is a perfect idea and I will definitely be using that tip in the future! BRILLIANT!

Love the videos Guru, any pointers for removing what seems to be very stubborn sap blots from an aging E46 navy rag top?.. it has my brothers life as he seems unable to dissolve the said tacky shining blots from the fibres without causing a fade in the shade of navy or bobbling it like a 10 yr old wooly jumper with over vigorous rubbing.. He's tried various off the shelf fabric top kits but to no avail.... please help?!?

when you were having issues with the protective coat not 'taking' on first application, chances are that a silicone-based product had been used on it before - rather than a water-based product. they aren't compatible and its better to use water-based protectors.
