Its incredible, but I think that this song must sing only guy. (it's my opinion) I guess you just want to symbolize mother, but its not necessary in this song.
Hmmm nope.. I disagree. I mean, with or without, both versions are accurate. Mother's overprotection can also be depicted/represented by her presence in the song. Those might be the words she pronounced.
