    As others have said, this is very impressive. All that brick work! Wow. Very unlikely to happen in US. Brick even for interior walls? Wow. And to then cover it all with foam? Here we'd be proud of the HUGE expense of that much brick and would never insulate on the outside like that.

      Code requires exterior insulation in the north for 2x4 construction. I think it’s r13 interior stud bay minimum and r5 continuous exterior minimum.

    • @EustaH
      @EustaH Před 6 měsíci

      Almost all of single family homes are built like that in Europe. (Although I've seen mostly ceramic blocks + reinforced concrete floors) And that insulation is not fancy - it significantly lowers heating energy cost, saving probably around 1000 $ per winter - it might look like not that much, but given that this building will stand somewhere between 50 years and a few centuries - it's well worth it. (also this is some post soviet country, but in EU additionally construction code will require all new buildings to be 100% passive by 2035 anyways)

      Steel rope inside like a cable car hangs on. They pull the rope super tight inside the concrete form before concrete is poured into mould. wait for the concrete to set. cut the steel rope at the end but inside the concrete it is still stretched super tight, the concrete is set and fixed to this making it like a bridge. Very good at structural loads in every way.

    What is that they put in the ground at the bottom right of the screen? The septic tank?
    Is this supposed to be a three family building? Three units (left end, middle, right end)?
    Interesting music chosen for this video.

    • @EustaH
      @EustaH Před 6 měsíci

      Yes - you put some load bearing walls inside as well, and you good to go. Also, most houses I've seen use single cast reinforced concrete floors (basically just like any modern skyscraper would, only lighter). BTW Fun fact - I've lived in an big (around 20m long) apartament built form full brick and you could put a stage speakers at full volume in one end and not even notice that it's on on the other and of the house.

    The building is obviously not being built in the U.S. For one thing, it would be almost impossible to find a house here in the U.S. being built using that much brick in the walls. Builders won't use that much because of the costs, both in materials and labor. Second thing is the lack of safety. In the U.S. the hole for the septic tank wouldn't have been left open like that. It would have been roped off. Third thing is that the hole wouldn't have been dug out by hand either. Again, too much in labor costs.

    • @bebopflyandfpv
      @bebopflyandfpv  Před 3 lety +3

      Yes, everything is much simpler here. But in this situation there is still an additional nuance, here the construction was carried out by the owner of the land. his land and rules. The house was being built for sale, and buyers do not want to get involved with frame houses. in our country, people are used to thinking that a good house must be built of brick.
