    That first room looks good--the natural light and windows really open up the space, no matter the size, and the low-key paint scheme works so well to make everything really pop and catch the eye. Everything with color now gets the chance to shine as it grabs your attention. They did such a good job using LEGO--simple and effective!
    Room 2 with the angled shelves using the consoles and then books paired with them--I love that! I always really love seeing unlike items paired together with a common theme, so like books and consoles--it's just such a great display mechanic. Really good use of the floating shelves for the odds and ends and definitely for the collector's editions, which are cool but can be rough to display into a place that fits. We lucked out and at a convention found that Club Nintendo display piece--it's a great, fun display item.
    Ooooh, room 3 and those Castlevania & Mega Man collections--so cool!! Controller mount looks awesome, especially with that brick wall behind it.

      hi, not sure if you'll see this but I was curious as to what the Japanese Zelda posters are called above your TV? they look really nice!

    • @RandomAssaultPodcast
      @RandomAssaultPodcast Před 2 lety

      @@sunnyseeds7933 The 3 in the big frame right? I actually got those as a gift, I believe they're just prints of the Japanese box art covers - if you can find high rez versions of those online you can probably have them printed at a Staples or some sort of office store
      I actually had to watch my part again because since then I've moved everything downstairs lol
      Edit - Actually now that I look at them, I think they're Japanese ads for the games, probably from Famitsu magazine - if you can't find them online I'll try googling them

    Mad respect to the second collection for having the entire series of Dominion Tank Police on VHS. Also noticed an incomplete Iria set which is one of my favorites! Underrated and underappreciated. The other collections are great too!

      Yeah I saw someone else use pegboard and it's really helped my cable management, and those are just pillow cases I draped over the pegboard, it was a super cheap solution for hiding the cables (I hate cables lol)

    I really like these videos and they're giving me some great ideas, BUT I feel like dust management must be an impossible task with the way many are layed out. Sure, they look great for a few photos, but I'm sure shortly after they degenerate into a dust haven. Would love to see some game rooms designed to combat this problem keeping maintenance to a minimum.

    Good vid man! Also the “posters” at 13:19 are actually artwork featured on the illuminated backboxes of pinball machines, called either the ‘back glass’ or ‘translite’. I can’t tell if those are legit or repros but they are all identical to their respective real pinball machines.

    No hate. I love your channel and I love this series. But do you guys ever get tired of stareing at bunch of game boxes or regular boxes. I got a similar setup to all these but I use figures and large collectibles mostly. It does look alot better though when you have some kind of collectibles in front of a row of boxes though. I don't got that problem. My games are digital. Sorry for going on and thx u so much for this series and the content.

    • @DiskCart
      @DiskCart  Před 3 lety +3

      It really depends on the person. I actually really hate a ton of things crowding a shelf. having a figure in front of games or even a couple can be ok. Most of us with physical games like the idea of actually owning the game vs just the rights to play it. similar to having a library of books , you get the artwork, manual, ability to look through games however you'd like unlike digital which is managed by a corporation with very little in the way of customization. The challenge truly is how to manage so many games and thats what this channels all about! Thank you for the comment!
