“Greatest actor you’ve worked with?” “Myself” 😂 😂
Was hoping he’d say: Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
One of the very few men who can actually say that without being full of shit.
It would've been criminal to name anyone, though. He had worked with so many talented actors. It was smart he mentioned Marlon Brando to be safe.
The honest truth 😄
Like Stephen referenced. The mirror scene. He acted with himself.
Kind of like... The only one who can beat Chuck Norris is Chuck Norris.
You can see how much he loved and admired Marlon Brando by the way he talks about him. I’ve literally never seen De Niro talk that much.
'Analyze These' With Robert De Niro 2328pm 26.8.23 i did that.... once over! scared some shop assistants by speaking. as i am not renowned for talking... in store. though i get the impression whoever i meet up with is desperate to impart something but cant round to saying it... this fella sounds like david yow at times.
2:22 When De Niro says no, you don't ask again 😂😂
Yeah, Stephen didn't even try to push him to do that xDD
It's weird. The greatest living actor is also incredibly shy. But this video is him at maximum comfort level
Reminds me of when Conan was interviewing Sylvester Stallone.
I love that they did this lighting round to get through some questions quickly, and then he gives his LONGEST answer just gushing about Marlon Brando, what a cutie
I was thinking the same thing 🤣
And I love that Colbert just dropped premise of the joke and let his guest talk. Truly great host.
@@MouflonTheAchiever anything else would be just madness
I don't think he's pissed. I think he doesn't like talk shows because, like a lot of actors, he's shy. Shyness in men comes across as mad or reserved. The other thing is, I don't think he tolerates fools too well. Doesn't like or enjoy bs. I said somewhere else, I think he likes Stephen because he treats him with respect, and a little humor, but not too foolishly. The time they were drinking Sake out of wooden boxes was pretty cool. :)
Why does he appear so often in talk shows when he hates it? He is Robert Fu*** De Niro he doesn't need to promote a movie. DiCaprio, Christian Bale, Joaquin Phoenix or Brad Pitt almost never are in talk shows because they don't like it.
Might have something to do with their shared contempt of Trump too, considering Colbert spends most of the show despising Trump Im sure it taps a note with Deniro.
It's all well and good being shy, I'm shy myself but I would think he would avoid talk shows or at least use his skills as an actor to pretend he's a barrel of laughs.
@@Chinaski1 He isn't promoting a movie in this instance, even though he mentioned it. He was there to promote The Tribeca Film Festival. I agree with you about him not needing to be making appearances if he doesn't like them. I've seen all his movies without hearing about them on talk shows.
@@thehydronater7628 Very true!
I feel like de niro and Colbert are like the old guy and the kid in Up 😂😂
CUTE!!
Lol, good one
I always felt that Robert would’ve fit well into that role😆
indian😀😀
Colbert got DeNiro to loosen up, and DeNiro got Colbert to tighten up.
He has great diplomatic answers
Yeah, but in a good way
He is so grumpy and cranky ... just love him!!!
it makes his smile all the more meaningful 😊
Two words: Living Legend
Two words: Overrated Hack.
I love De Nero. He's raw. Like just down to earth. Love a man like that. Confident but not overshadowing
Imagine Marlon brando being the favourite actor of one of the greatest actors ever lived which makes brando eternal. No one could reach that level . What he did in and outside hi avenue is impeccable . Respect for the God Brando.
Depp pretty close. Dude's versatility in roles is basically unmatched. Has any actor ever shown that type of versatility before? So many actors just play slightly different versions of the same character in their different roles.
Depp literally invents entirely new characters as he sees fit for the part.
@@CornPopWazABadDude if you are talking about versatility de niro is in his own level
@@nikjakopin9636 DeNiro is an all time great actor, but has he played a gangster in one movie, then a guy with scissors hands in another, then a guy who's on every drug under the sun in another, then a wild Disney character, etc etc etc... That's Depps range.
You see what I'm saying now?
@@CornPopWazABadDude i like depp he is one of my favorites because of jack sparrow but de niro can play anything comedy, action , drama, love story you name it
@@CornPopWazABadDude thats the point of versatility
LOVE DeNiro
De Niro is pissed all the time in talk shows and i love it.
De Niro (talking to Colbert): "I don't wanna talk right now (about Donnie Brasco (Trump) ). Hey Stephen, could you give me back that ice cream sundae now."
I'm concerned for his health... I said this when Carrie Fisher was on the show a few weeks before Carrie Fisher died and unfortunately.. Spoiler alert, she did... hopefully Trump doesn't live-tweet the funeral or send Jared and Ivanka like he did for McCain... I hope I'm wrong.
Total introvert... I love it.
i think he is actually just DUMB
I believe he wouldn't even be on talk shows; alas, promotions force him to, such as in this one promoting his new film and his film festival.
I think the movie with Brando was, "The Score." Bob, Brando and Edward Norton, and Brando was all over the place, but still good.
Fuck me that was a good movie. Damn I've aged.
jp law. I guess I am partial to that movie because it was shot in my city: Montreal!!!!
@@genevievemarie9427 Oui!
@@jplaw2508 Lol😁
Frank Oz directed "The Score" but Brando didn´t respect him and always called him "Miss Piggy". Brando allegedly refused to shoot his scenes with Oz at the helm. It´s rumoured that De Niro had to direct Brando´s scenes.
De Niro is the man.
Love Robert de Niro hes awesome..
Goodfellas
Casino
The deer hunter
Taxi driver
The godfather part II
Raging bull
Heat
A Bronx Tale
Cape fear
The untouchables
He is a legend!!!!
That Alec Baldwin impersonation of the Godfather cast which De Niro is talking about happened on Conan! Watch it guys - it's absolutely hilarious!
czcams.com/video/PVdm4ZCGLRQ/video.html
damn i just watched it and was blown away)) although why would i at this point, baldwin is incredible
Christine Currie thanks for posting the link. Very funny.
I am being discriminated against. This vid is NOT available in Canada!!
Sandra Nelson count your blessings, at least you don’t have a lying, scumbag crook for president.
What an extremely talented man! Who seems to be a little on the shy side to!! It's adorable.💜💜
Dave was on the air over 30 years and Bob was on once. Since 2015, he’s been on this show 3 times. Stephen, feel honored
sh4p31y I saw and interview with Robert, Dustin Hoffman and Letterman. Letterman made Robert defensive. It was not a good interview.
'Analyze These' With Robert De Niro screeching weasels of screeching females in graveyards are kindda scary... especially when yer cyling past at 4am in the morning up a road with no street lights...
That was a pretty good interview. Robert seemed in good spirits.Always positive sign when he smiles or laughs with a question. He didnt seem grumpy at all.And his views on trump as a "wanna be gangster with no morals" was spot on. 100%
Lmao the balls on Colbert for saying “Give me your best DeNiro” 😂😂
Always has been and always will be such a talented actor and handsome man!
When he says myself you see that was a joke. This brilliant actor is so humble.
i just fucking love the guy, what a legend
Love Robert so much 😭
Lmao, all his answers though 😂 😂 😂
Brando is GOAT. Movie was The Score, came out in 2001 and Brando passed in 2004. DeNiro got his years mixed up. Brando was 77 when he did score older to how old DeNiro is right now by a year.
He’s one cool dude...
DeNiro - Our international treasure and the globe's greatest living actor.
🤣🤣🤣
What a legend
It is very lovely to see De Niro having a nice time on a talk show.
0:31 amazing
Lol as an old dude, he just doesn't care anymore, I know the feeling and I'm hella young
He never did care that's just one of the many reasons why I love Robert De Niro
He is introvert who was never good with interviews. That's well known facts. I don't know why now at this point of his career he decide to do all these interviews. It's easy to tell that he dont feel comfortable with this. Probably contracts force him to do this sort of things.
@@irvingwashington8638 you seem to now him personally with such an insight you have of him. Obviously he has to do these interviews doesn't mean he has to like the person interning him so he clearly chooses to speak or not. I have seen him in an interview with Barry norman and it was the most uncomfortable and yet I found really funny none interview. Robert De Niro hardly said a single thing I have also seen him in interviews where he talks and gives good interviews.
He never did watch his Oscar speech but the guy who didn't care more than him was brando that's why he was greater or even the greatest your attitude decides the height
Ironic that the Lightning Round is where he wanted to talk the most.
DeNiro: A national treasure.
Dee Snider hi trump supporter, what’s the matter are you on your period?
What a legend 👏
All time favorite actor
Absolute king 👑
He reminds me so much of Jay Pritchett from Modern Family, like, the old, grumpy, but lovable kinda vibe
He’s right...I love when he has deNiro on
he is just such a cool guy.. he doesn't even have to try ,.. De Niro is THE MAN
He always seems uncomfortable in interviews! Everyone loves him and wants to talk to him but I don't think he wants to talk with anyone! Love him!
"Can you act a sneeze?"
"Yeah I can, but that's..you know,
I NeeD aBOuT A half AN HOUR PrePARATION" 😗
Love you Rob
Dude can you believe this shy guy nails gangster movies on screen!!
Love you, Bob! I fiendishly get a delight when certain actors are totally themselves, even at the detriment to TV entertainment. Silence and unflourished answers are killer to television tapinga, but from De Niro, it is gold. He puts on no airs, no false pretense. 100% genuine. I love it!
Deer Hunter was my favorite of his- incredible movie.
Robert actually giving answers and being funny, this is great.
Legend of legends
“I should have an answer... but I don’t” same Bobby, same
He really seemed like he was just there to hawk the movie and really could care less about the rest. I love him, though!
So he cared to some degree then?
Couldn't *
aashir786ss thank you. That’s one of the things I hate about Americans. It’s couldn’t, not could.
Can't wait for The Irishman!
I think Robert De Niro is pissed at the present state of the union as with a lot of us.
Raymond Hughley You hate the great economy and peace talks with North Korea and Afghanistan and pulling our troops out of Syria. Very very strange of you.
No I guess he hates the fact that never before was the wealth and income distribution gap more diverging in the history of the country and more so, despite it being so "great" you still die uninsured when ure elderly or not a rich and corrupt conman like the president who can get away with anything like never before wrecking the legal system even more. Or the fact that society is divided like never before and we now have an ed sec who cares more about her yachts than public schools but I guess that can't really compare with some nice photo of Kim leaving #45 in Hanoi because there's no actual results coming out of the "peace talks" and Afghanistan and Syria being a paradise on earth since Republicans decided to completely wreck it so I guess it's only reasonable to leave those places we turned into shitholes like that amirite? But it'd prolly be very very strange to do the right thing now ain't it? Because the commander-in-chief is an idiot now, so why don't we all fall in line and follow otherwise might even be called "very strange" by cultists of a guy who has to pretend he's still married and cares about public wealth how could anyone possibly bear that insult from a guy that's so disconnected from reality to hire Rudy Giuliani as his lawyer.
Toughen up you got 6 more years
@@terrywbreedlove _You hate the great economy_
For whom is the economy great?
_peace talks with North Korea and Afghanistan_
North Korea has asked the US to "get rid of" Mike Pompeo, if they would like to continue talks.
Afghanistan isn't at war with the US. The Afghan peace talks with the Taliban, could be taking place without the US.
_pulling our troops out of Syria_
When will that happen? The US maintains a presence in Syria.
Pernicion All time record low unemployment for Blacks and Hispanics and Women. That is who Trumps great economy is working for. Rising wages fastest rate in 10 years. The middle and lower classes that is who the Trump economy is working for. More jobs than workers that is good for everyone. Peace talks with North Korea is a good thing anyway you want to look at it. Pulled all troops out of Syria but 100 advisers and those won’t be there long now that Trump destroyed ISIS. We are in peace talks with the Taliban in Afghanistan right now. It is just starting and we are still fighting but talking is a good thing.
greatest actor a live
God of Acting ladies and gentlemen , Robert De Niro .. He was and he will be forever. Respect
An icon...
Marlon Brando, Robert De Niro , two greatest actors ever worked together back in my time…
AHH, this is the best ever!! De Niro is one cool gentleman.
bravo Robert 🌷😎
The Godfather of Acting 🤗
I liked him in Brazil. Bob Hoskins and weird ducting. A Metric cover over an Imperial hole!?!
I almost forgot about that. An underrated gem.
He was great, only a couple of minutes, but genius.
My favourite film and he's amazing in it. De Niro originally wanted Michael Palin's part but Gilliam had already cast it. He said he took the role of hearing engineer Harry Tuttle because he just wanted to be in the film. And those weird magnifying glasses with the lights on that he wears to work - De Niro made them himself and brought them to rehearsal because he said he thought his character should have them. That's dedication.
Ever get the feeling that DeNiro is giving his best DeNiro impression whenever we see him on TV?
When you're above everyone else, your name is Robert De Niro
Love Deniro..❤❤
"You talkin' to me?" If this is not his most memorable quotation what could be ?
Robert Shaw, in Jaws. Any line. ⚓
Classy, much much better then the Letterman debacle. Colbert went out of his way to make DeNiro comfortable. He's the absolute master of that.
Stephen: "Greatest actor you ever worked with? "
Robert: "Myself".... 🤣😂😆👍🏻
Imagine your grandfather is Robert De Niro
Deniro must really like Colbert he virtually says nothing to any other chat show host.
They have a Common Cause.
Love DeNiro doing Mueller on SNL. Brilliant.
I think Colberg is the host that best interview De Niro. Robert looks comfortable and actually talked more. I loved the idea of bringing him ice cream 🍨.
Wow, I didn't expect to be that entertained by that Interview. GJ Colbert
OK but in the lightening round he elaborates on his answers
Considering how confident and fearless he seems in his films, he seems like quite a shy individual.
Robert De Niro’s best line” You wanna be making moves on the street? have no attachments. Allow nothing to be in your life ...that you cannot walk out on in 30 seconds flat... if you spot the heat around the corner”.
My favorite actor
My fave De Niro role is Captain Shakespeare in Stardust. You can't watch that performance and say the man isn't committed to his role 100%!
It's an entertaining and witty movie overall.
YESSS OH MY GOD THAT'S MY FAVORITE TOO. 😍😍😍
Maybe the best actor that’s ever lived in my book
Agree
Still got it after all these years
Love De Niro. Will love to see my Favourite actor of all time Al Pacino.
"Myself"... LOL ... and he's right!
I love him.
Love him
I should try to google how funny Alec Baldwin did the impression of Robert De Niro in the reunion of Godfather sequels.
hey, youu. i see what you did there ;-) made me do it. fool meeee...I am stoned though...
He is one of the great actors of our time. You ask him, he'll tell ya!
The title made me think he was staring in another sequel. I really enjoyed the first two, they were quite funny.
Such a cool dude!! Seriously! (....so is Colbert) 😁✨
Robert de Niro is awesome
[normal interview questions] - "yes." "not really." "well thank you."
[lightning round question] - one minute answer
Robert De Niro doesn't DO impressions. He does Robert De Niro, commits 100%, never breaks character. He IS Robert De Niro...!
He is the greatest
@@JM-fs3cg 🤣🤣🤣
Greatest Actor he ever worked with is AL PACINO Legends Know It!!🔥🔥
superb
MY GOAT !
Best question ever. How you doin
Hahahahhahaaaa
2:17 obviously he can De Niro!
"Myself," ...comment...there's some truth there...thought Taxi was his best role..."Irish Men," 💚 ... how uze guys doin?
I love Marlon!
Robert de Niro is not difficult, talk shows are stoopid, but Colbert got the best out of it.
Colbert knew that Deniro had to say Marlon Brando, couldn't leave that question open like that.
