So glad you did this tutorial! I don’t have luck with the brand of dtf powder I bought but I’m a newbie! Still practicing.

The tea towels I used are 100% cotton. I do plan to wash one today and see how it holds up. Seems to be super great product though.
They look excellent 😊 I do see your teflon sheet gets stuck on the top plate on your htvront auto press! I have the same issue and it drives me crazy. It does it with butcher paper when trying to sublimate also and causes me to have ghosting on my projects 😕 how do you go with sublimation on your press? Do you get any ghosting? Thanks ☺️🇦🇺
lol this is actually the first time it's ever stuck! I thought it was bc it was a smaller sheet than I normally use. I've only ever used copy paper when I sublimate and SO FAR no ghosting issues. Now keep in mind I have not sublimated much with my press. I've only done about a dozen shirts/sweatshirts and some zipper pouches. I'm no pro that's for sure! lol
I love the idea of doing dtf this way however almost all of my colors have washed away on the first wash. I hope this won’t be the case for yours.

I have not but I’m sure it would work great! I just love the ease of my auto press. lol I’m spoiled! 😊
What does DTF stand for?
Direct to Film… basically the image is printed directly on a film and then transferred to your garment.
What is the difference between this and just sublimation?
The powder makes the difference. You can use DTF on ANY kind of fabric...like the tea towels are 100% cotton and I didn't have to prep them with sublimation spray.
Sublimation is recommend to be used on high polyester count fabric.

Can dtf be done on dark colors?
It can, although you would need to use BLACK powder which is recommended to go on dark colors. So with this exact kit you would need to use it on lighter colors due to it being white powder. Hopefully that makes sense. lol
