I’ve bought some of the alternatives to Sony. Note these cards are VPG 200 (the 200 in the slate). This means the card ensures a minimum sustained write speed of 200 megabytes per second . The VPG400 address your statement @ 08:50.

I bought the Sony proprietary CF Express card (and didn’t eat out for a week 🤨) thinking that I might be able to shoot 8K and not have the Sony A1 - OVERHEAT 🥵- after a few minutes (indoor studio) and I was able to shoot at 4K for about 20 minutes before the camera shutdown…
    So There!
I keep shooting video on my FX3 😏

@@georgerady9706 the fx3 is my goto for video as well. So disappointing to hear more a1 issues especially for the price and it supposed to be the flagship sony camera

Too much technology in one body… I bet the fan in the FX3 - WAS - the fix!
Still, an AWESOME camera for - edge - PHOTOGRAPHY; low light, long exposures, high speed flash sync and especially Sports and Wildlife (or in my case, high speed stage movement!) and a little video… like I said, it’s a good Content 3rd cameras that I can use at 8K for short video clips of the entire set/scene and then crop down to 1/2 to 4K and match to my FX3s! Wasn’t a ‘waste’ of money , just a disappointment and I would urge VIDEORGAPHERS to skip it and go for the FX6/FX3 or FX30 😎
Actually, I just called B&H and they recommended the Lexar CF Express 160GB (two pack for $299.99h)
No one at the counter was confident that this would - not - fail at 480GB and I do shoot serous stuff (even for fun) so I opted for the cards that have a bit more History.

@@flproductions90 Still a great review, I ended up going with some SD cards because I already have a reader and I do not take video.
