    Great review Chris.
    The Prime is an ideal bike for those who like to ride anywhere of road. I don't think there is a bike on the market capable of taking you to places the Prime can.
    From soft sandy beaches to the steepest mountain tracks. It's performance in these difficult terrains is amazing.
    You are 100% correct about the disadvantage of miss drives. If there chain goes that's the end of your ride and I've had to walk many KMs to get back home. So if you're going somewhere far you'll need a spare chain and tools to get you home or your walking lol.
    I woke imagine the Revenant woke be more agile for sure, with narrower tyres and full suspension it would make the Prime feel like a truck.
    At the end of the day it all comes down to where you ride, your style of riding and your fitness.
    Some people are fixated on speed and speed it's not what makes riding fun it's the enjoyment of being outdoors enjoying riding not breaking land speed records. Having a reliable bike that allows you to enjoy your time riding is what is all about.
    Love your work and thank you for sharing.

    Amazing comparison and really good points. I've been riding my self electrified hybrid with bafang 250w mid drive for 5 years and the time has come to upgrade it. As a daily commuter you just start to appreciate the hassle free experience and failsafe options for not having to walk back the 13km journey from work. Even the 250w bafang mid drive had 90Nm torque and as amazing it is I've gone through so many chains and cassettes even when I had installed shift sensor and am using multiple gears while not using the motor while shifting. That is why you can appreciate the revenant and hubmotors overall. Crazy to think that hubmotors are now on par with 250w mid drives on torque and it's definitely enough while pedaling even with steeper climbs.

      @samtheman7366 Před rokem

      @@eBikify Btw. How does the hub motor sense the pedaling on PAS-mode? I was wondering if the chain would break would you need the throttle to operate the motor or is the sensor inside the pedaling mechanism itself?

    • @eBikify
      @eBikify  Před rokem +1

      @@samtheman7366 Great question! So from what I can tell, the Revenant has a torque sensor which requires a fair amount of pressure to be applied to the pedals in order for the motor to engage. So I would expect that throttle would be required if the chain were to break on the Revenant.

      I have a Prime too. I had to wait 6 months for my Prime. I would recommend opening a ticket to try escalating the issue. I feel like your bike should’ve been shipped by now. However, something important to know is that once it does ship, they ship via Sea Freight, which can take a few months to deliver, depending on what country you live in. What a lot of ppl don’t know is that they do offer Air Freight as an optional paid upgrade. It’s very expensive, but it will reduce the shipping timeframe from a few months to a few weeks. If that’s something you want to upgrade to, you should be able to request that in your ticket. Who knows, maybe they’ll offer a discount for upgraded shipping for your inconvenience. Worth a try. I hope your bike ships soon!

      There are technically 10 PAS modes on this bike - 5 on Eco mode, and 5 on Sport mode. Being that there are 10 levels each with their own amount of power consumption, plus the optional usage of the throttle, it’s very difficult to give you an accurate answer. However, I can confidently say that the battery life is very good considering the power it has. I am usually able to get at least 30 or so miles on mixed riding. But of course, if you’re going to ride it in Sport mode level 5 (highest setting) for an entire ride, you’ll likely get around 20 miles if I had to guess.

However, I tested it out and I was able to find where to build and order the Revenant. I see they have two variants of the Revenant on their site: the “V1” and the “1000”. The difference between the two is that the “1000” comes with the higher capacity battery and the more powerful 1000w motor.
      I hope that helps. If the site still gives you trouble, I’d recommended speaking with their Customer Service chat.

    Hey I just received my revenent today and have a few questions for you since you've had the bike for a while now.
    Did you put an airtag or some kind of tracker on your bike? If so where do you recommend hiding it because I wanted to stash one on the bike but it seems like under the seat is the best option without it being too obvious, maybe inside the battery compartment could work though?
    Do you use a bike rack to bring your revenant around with your car? I didn't buy a bike rack just yet but I'm wondering now that I see it in person if the frame is a little bit too unique to fit a standard bike rack. If so which one do you have?
    Nireeka gave me a different display than the default one mentioned on the IndieGoGo and their own page. I can't figure out how to turn the bike on and I've also contacted support because the battery protector pannel is extremely scratched up. Is the bike supposed to turn on with the click of the power button or are there extra steps to get it working that I'm not aware of?
    Appreciate it!

    • @eBikify
      @eBikify  Před rokem +1

      Hi. Congrats on the Revenant!
      - Yes, I placed an AirTag underneath the saddle. You can order “AirTag bike mount loop holders” online. That’s what I used to mount the AirTag safely to the saddle.
      - Yes, I own a bike rack. I actually just bought a new one. It was a bit of a splurge. I got the 1Up rack. Incredible build quality and super convenient mounting that doesn’t touch the frame. Worth looking into.
      - In order to turn the Revenant on, you have to first turn on the battery by pressing the little black circular button on the right side of the frame. Be sure to press it again to turn it back off, when not riding.
