Yes one of the best entrance foe sure in MCU films, maybe only bettered by Avengers Assemble in Endgame and perhaps matched by Captain Marvel's Battle of Earth entrance.

I love how much value Thor was given in a franchise that really garnered their numbers from Ironman and Captain America. Infinity War was almost more about Thor than anyone else. Starting right after Ragnarok ends, Thor first ends up losing his brother, then finds the Guardians of the Galaxy. With them he really puts things into perspective when he tells them his age, something fans keep forgetting, and how many villains, weak and strong, he's fought and conquered before. Given this, he was truly the only one that should've been capable of defeating Thanos. During the war in Wakanda, it's as if they have no way out until Thor finally is able to make the Stormbreaker and join the battle. In the battle, Thor is not at all phased by anyone else's presence. He clearly has one goal, and he is more confident than anyone in the universe that he will succeed in that goal (Bring me Thanos). Thor is also the only one who comes close to killing Thanos (you should've gone for the head). In some ways I've always felt that Thor is the true protagonist of Infinity War.

He has the most combat experience after Cap, so it makes sense.
He has an Iron Man suit that's received even more upgrades and stronger weaponry since Iron Man 2.

their tactic in that battle was awful honestly. It´s a movie, and they wanted to show us cool, dramatic fights. But they also could have just opened the Barrier at some spots, where no Enemy attacked it.
Or if they used Wakandian Jets, this fight would have been over very fast.
It seems Wakanda has no Flying defense anymore after Black Panther.
Or even when opening the Barrier in front of the enemy, War-Machine also could have used his bombs at once there. = Just saying.
Or if Vision could have used his beam they could have just killed them in a few minutes, without open the whole barrier.
Corvus Glaive was only able to reach Vision because Barrier was open at this point in the movie.

Well though Thor fought very well in end game, he was out of shape and pot bellied i.e. slower reflexes and strength. The fight with Thanos in endgame would have gone quite differently if he was at full strength as he was in this clip
The Nerf is Endgame was well explained. I totally get why he was the way he was in that movie. What sucked was Love and Thunder. The made him a clown who doesn't use his brain..Thor is sure on the playful side but he's not a moron.

@@Conzdunchad again Marvel is not making an adaptation of Norse Mythology. So, its not strict to go by the rules. And he wasn't nerfed a lot..he was still worthy still strong. He was his absolute best in Infinity War bcz how recent his losses were and as he says rage, vengeance, anger and all that.
In Endgame, after 5 years you calm down a bit and you still experience the loss but you aren't as motivated.
He had to get nerfed or else the final battle against 2014 Thanos would’ve lasted 5 seconds. It was Iron Man’s spotlight, not Thor’s.

I love this scene. We as fans spent years arguing Iron Man or Captain America, and they battled out in a battle of who was the strongest. And in infinity war they assemble an army of the greatest hero’s in the world. But everything stops when Thor arrives. No matter how great the hero’s are, nobody is close to the strength of the lord of thunder

Theaters erupted for this scene and it wasn't like Thor was just showing up or anything because we followed him throughout the movie. Theaters erupted because they knew Thor was about to clean house.
I like how the MCU saw how much everyone loves Thor and thought this scene was amazing and a standout in an already phenomenal movie, so much so that they made him a fat, weepy mess, nerfed and useless in Endgame, who just gets easily beaten by Thanos without landing a hit while Captain Marvel is boosted to unbelievable levels, to the point where she survives a Thanos headbutt like it's a fly that's just landed on her. And then in Love and Thunder they've made him a walking catastrophe, one big joke, a goofy, airhead space jock who's an unfunny loser that all the characters look at like he's a moron because he's written insufferably. It's funny seeing how the MCU got it so, so wrong despite getting it so right just a few years ago. They must have had a giant brain fart and forgotten all their good story telling and character development.

Y'know, you could say Thor's entrance was something of an answered prayer to the God of Thunder. The battle is close to defeat, the Avengers each struggling to stay in the fight...and out of nowhere, this axe-wielding powerhouse comes in and saves the day.

This moment is just so Massively Epic, I cannot even find the right words to describe how wickedly brilliant it is, and I just love Bruce's reaction and remark at Thor's arrival he shows up with his fellow Avenging Heroes Rocket & Groot at the exact right time to save everyone & say that unforgettable awesome line you know what it is. I mean you gotta love it if you are a true MCU FanBoy.
