  • This video will help you decide whether it is worth spending extra money for the Green Star Elite or if the Aicok juicer is good enough for your needs. Juice Feaster compares the Aicok AMR521 vs. the Tribest Green Star Elite 5000. If you are searching for a masticating juicer, this is a great place to start.
    Celery is a great test ingredient because it makes an amazing juice. Also, many people have found health benefits from following the celery juice protocol from Medical Medium Anthony William. Celery juice is a great base ingredient for many juice blends or enjoy it all by itself!

    I have had my Aicok for about 16 hours. Watching your video was a great help and I will get the Greenstar or similar in the next 12 months, but what I did this morning I took the pulp and put it back through the machine and definitely got more juice and the pulp was a lot drier.

    The only juicer I deal with is a greenstar. I have two. One I bought in 2007 and i needed to upgrade in 2020! You get what you pay for. People with thousands of dollars worth of jewelry and hair weaves, expensive cars, coach bags, vacation pictures- always have something to say about people who spend money on a juicer. I guess it’s ok to spend money - as long as it’s to impress others. God forbid you spend money on your health.

    Thank you so much for this video. So well detailed. I don’t have either one of these juicers, mine is a $100 masticating juicer which I love for the price. However, watching your video on how good the Greenstar handled the celery, I am super impressed and on the fence on possibly upgrading. Only thing holding me back is the size of the Greenstar. Too big for my lack of counterspace.

      Lu A Mac hello! Yes, the Greenstar is awesome! It is so amazing with greens, herbs, & all the veggies especially celery. It’s outstanding with all the fruits, really, except for pineapple. But if you alternate another fruit with it, it goes through fine. Great yield, great nutrient extraction, amazing flavor. It is a little larger, but worth the space that it takes up. Thanks for watching! 🌈❤️🌈

    The difference in color, in my opinion, was because you were using one single head of celery. You divided it into two equal amount. The outer stems are almost always darker green than the inner stems, even the leaves are greener but they don't put out significant amount of juice to increase the color of green. Therefore, the juice from the Green Star is darker green than the other one.

      I find that it’s always better to juice a multitude of things, not just one vegetable. I’ve owned the Omega 8006, the old model, and I just got the Aicok to replace it. The pulp will come out drier when alternating two or three different fruits/vegetables for one juice.

    Have you tried or reviewed the Nama Well Juicer? I bought one and I love it but it does have some flaws and wondering if I made a mistake

    • @JuiceFeaster
      @JuiceFeaster  Před 3 lety

      Hello! I haven’t reviewed the Nama Well juicer yet but have heard mixed reviews. In all honesty, most all juicers that I have trialed have pros and cons for sure. It really comes down to what flaws are deal breakers and what ones are tolerable. For example, If you love to juice greens but your juicer doesn’t juice them well at all, it’s time to switch. I try and line up my most important requirements with the juicer that will provide those and then forgive it for the things it doesn’t do well. I bought green star primarily to juice large quantities + greens + hard roots and fruits. It does awesome for all of those things but won’t juice pineapple AT ALL! So I value it for what it does well and bought the inexpensive Shine juicer to juice pineapple and travel with. 🤗Https://bit.ly/ShineJuicer

      Honestly, the Aicok is fine. I just got it so I don’t know how long it’ll last me, but the pulp is dryer than my old Omega 8006. Keep in mind, I did get the Omega over ten years ago. The Aicok will give dryer pulp if you mix different veggies/fruits and alternate them in your juice. Also, feeding them through slowly by giving the machine time to process will help with yield too.

      Hello! That’s a good thought, but I feel like it’s the twin gear masticating grinders that are extracting more of the darker colored phytochemicals from the celery. The gears are super slow so I don’t think the oxidation potential is any different than the aicok. It’s tough to say though! Thanks for tuning in and have an awesome day! 🌈❤️🌈

    There’s nothing you could say that would make me buy a $600 juicer unless I was really rich! Good job though. And at $600 the Green Star juicer should be operating better that should not be surprising it cost more and made with better materials. When I get rich Green star will be it!

    • @JuiceFeaster
      @JuiceFeaster  Před 3 lety +3

      Hello! Totally understandable to not want to spend $600 on a juicer. I used to feel that way too. I then started evaluating everything that I spent my money on and I found that I was spending quite a bit on restaurants, bars, etc. In some cases, $100's per month. I decided to re-prioritize my spending and divert that money to things that were investments in my health like a juicer and fruits and veggies. Making that mindset change for me has made all the difference in my pocket book and my health. Thanks for watching my video and I appreciate your comment!

      I cannot stress this enough! When it comes to fitness equipment or nutritional devices (like juicers), spend the extra money and shop for quality and useful features over marketing hype! You don’t have to be rich to by a juicer (Omega, Greenstar, Kuvings, Nama...etc) that have up to a 15 year warranty for a mere $400! Or, you can buy a disposable juicer that’s designed to last 2 years max with minimal usage! Most of my friends have been juicing daily for almost a decade because they chose quality!

    • @JuiceFeaster
      @JuiceFeaster  Před 2 lety +1

      Hello! I weigh the celery for each juicer on a scale so they are exactly the same amount. The main issue with the really inexpensive juicers is that they just aren’t built to last. Not withstanding the fact that the juice yield is lower and they have more pulp in the juice, the cheap ones are usually 50/50 as to whether they break in the first year with minimal use. If you plan on juicing lightly a couple times a month or every so often, they can work. But if you plan on juicing more intensively, buyer beware. Appreciate you tuning in!
