You are a full fledged hero. I was in a panic because I tried the turn off engine for 10 minutes deal, and of course the message was still there. Next I tried this and it is now fixed, for the mean time anyway,so I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you. Gave a thumbs up and subscribed. Thanks again, have a wonderful day.
So glad to hear! It’s definitely not a permanent fix. I do mine now almost everyday, unfortunately the hybrid battery pack needs to be changed, but I deal with it because I’m not ready to drop $2,500 to $4,000. It will definitely get you by until you are ready. Blessings, friend!
You're the man! It worked like a charm!
So glad, Mario!
Mi hai salvato almeno fino a quando non troverò il modo di sistemare le cose.. Grazie 🙏 amico mio
Glad it worked for you! 👏🏻
@@ClintBoland grazie 🙏
Thank you! It helped me a lot!
Glad it helped!
Thank you so much. It is working.
You're welcome!
It worked. Thanks a lot 😮
So glad.
Thanks... you are awesome.
My pleasure, glad it helped!
Bruhh!! I had a same issue just tried this trick and it works!! Amazing stuff
So glad it helped. 👏🏻
Thank you man! You saved me
My pleasure. Remember it’s not permanent. It’s gonna keep happening but at least it’ll get you by. I’ve been doing it for several months.
So I checked the air conditioning and what I noticed is in the electric motor at the front that there is a mini jerk when moving between the change from the electric motor to the combustion motor, it seems that this transition from one to the other has a small bad contact or wear. of a piece of equipment responsible for the exchange. I didn't find anything about how this exchange occurs, if you can check, that's the problem. I noticed that when you make this jerk and turn on the lights, there are problems with the panel or when opening the doors, probably due to the reset via the white cable from the fuse panel. In short, it is something between an electronic and a combustion engine. When the hybrid's batteries are charging normally, I cleaned the zinabre and is working perfectly after maintenance. And the 12v battery is new, I replaced it.
I suffer from the same problem
Did you find a solution?
Looked online to buy a new one and can’t tell which is the correct one bc they all look different. I got the same exact car as you so if you know which to buy that’d be a huge help.
Battery looks exactly like yours and everything. My Lexus is black too lol
Hey brother! I didn’t replace anything, my vehicle needs a new hybrid battery pack. But they are about $4000 to replace. With this little hack, you can unhook your hybrid system to your car and it resets it temporarily. My reset usually last a week or two depending on the weather and use. It definitely doesn’t fix your car but it’s a freeway to get by, hopefully this makes more sense.
@@ClintBoland yea I understood that. Appreciate the help. I was looking to see if you knew the name or model of the battery bc I also am not trying to pay 4000 lol. But all good you definitely helped me out man thank you so much
@@daydreams-xs3rz this was the quote I got at my local Toyota dealership. I’m sure there are other places that could do this, but not sure of any to recommend off hand. Glad this helped you though. Hope you have a Merry Christmas! 🎄 ✝️
@@daydreams-xs3rz true mane same. Just keep resetting. You will be ok if car won’t turn on time Ty buy new battery
For how it stop showing the “check hybrid system” ?
Will it come back again in your one ? If yes after how long?
I think it depends on the battery life of your hybrid system and the weather. Sometimes mine lasts for a couple weeks at other times just a day or so. Depends how hard I am driving and the weather, doesn't last as long in the cold.
Worked like a charm for me. But then, I filled up my gas tank and it said I have 545 miles! Normally it only says 380-400. Can I trust my gas mileage indicator now?
Glad it worked for you. Your distance to empty will fluctuate with every tank of gas. I’m sure it will adjust as you drive. Just keep an eye on it and your fuel level. I’m not a mechanic just a person trying to save money.
Car stopped mid drive. Did this as a quick fix and was able to get it home
So glad it helped and you got home safe. 👏🏻
@@ClintBolandtried that one but when I get up to 60mph the error comes back, what should I do? I’m on the road from Chicago to Seattle
@@acool7777 not sure. I’m not a mechanic. But your batteries are probably at the end of life and batteries in general do not like cold weather. Probably not a lot to do but get a new hybrid pack unfortunately. Hope you got there safe.
What do you do when the alarm goes off? Just press the key fob or something else??
I haven't encountered that issue.
Do I have to disconnect the actual battery while doing this too?
Not in my experience. Just that cable for 5-10 minutes does the trick. Good luck!
I want to thank you because it worked for me, but the problem returned after 3 days, it seems that just turning on the air conditioning disables it and the problem returns. I noticed that 6 times after turning on the air, the light appeared on the dashboard. But I think the small 12v battery, not the big battery, the small one seems to be weak, as it is a lot of electronics and I think a bigger battery would solve this problem. I cleaned the hybrid battery, it had all the contacts dirty and it stopped the hybrid problem but the small one I think is very weak. Am I right?
Hey Adriano, you could be right. I had my diagnosed at Toyota and they said I needed a new hybrid battery. When I do this for my car it lasts about 2-3 weeks. Your situation could be different. I’m not a mechanic so I dont know. But you could have your 12v battery tested for free at an auto parts store. But if you have the hybrid system error it probably is your hybrid system battery needs replacement. They only last about 10 years it seems. My car is 10 years old now. Good luck brother. Let me know what you find out.
Your video is excellent, I did exactly that, but the warning triangle and the hybrid check message appear and I go to the fuse panel and remove the white cable for 5 minutes and it goes back to normal after a few days and the hybrid goes back to alert , I already disassembled and reassembled the entire battery, removed it and detected xinabre on the contacts and cleaned it. but the warning message still appeared, I remember that when you remove the cable from the fuse panel everything is 100% and when using the air conditioning it goes out.
I think everyone’s situation is going to be different. Mine just went out last night. I reset and it’s working great today and will probably last a couple weeks before it happens again. I think it really depends on the condition of your battery. I’m not a mechanic. Just a researcher. Sorry you are still having problems.
True mine same keep resetting it work like charm sometimes 3 start comeback sometime 8start come back again. But keep resetting until it doesn’t work any more the battery

My 12v battery drained because the dome light was left on. I’m now experiencing this exact same message. I’m about to try this and see if it works. I’ll report back with the results in about 15 minutes.
This didn’t work for me.
Sorry brother. Not a guaranteed fix but works for some people. Good luck and hopefully you can get a new car or new battery system for a relatively reasonable price.
@@ClintBoland, I figured it out. The problem was that I unplugged the high voltage battery, and when I plugged it back in, I didn’t slide the handle over properly, so the tiny plug that tells the computer that the plug is plugged in properly wasn’t making contact.
@@ClintBoland, I didn’t realize that I had to slide it over after closing it.
@@terjeoseberg990 glad you figured it out brother. 🙏🏻
I did that but after two days it came
Back on. What’s the next step?
Just got to keep doing it. The next step is actually replacing the hybrid battery pack. This is a temporary solution to keep you going. I don’t have $4k to change my pack so I do this until I can change it or get another car.
Wish i knew this when my car just stopped while driving. Why during driving do they set these. Bought a new battery system for $7,000.00 and one year later was told the 12 volt battery was not changed out and it was now bad. $4,000.00 later I was sooooo mad!
Bummer.
That doesnt make sense. The 12v battery is just a little tiny car battery that shouldnt cost more than $75-$150. To replace. U could put a golf cart battery in it. How can they possibly charge you that much for it?
@chimneygeorge this is a hybrid car, sir. This has a large battery pack similar to a Tesla combined with a regular combustion engine you would find in a Toyota Camry. The battery pack this car is at the end of its life. It needs to be replaced. I assure you it cost more than $150, it’s $3500 to have it replaced at the dealership. Please do a little research before you come into the comment section of someone’s video. What you’re saying is extremely ignorant. Hope you have a great Sunday.
you got ripped off on the 12v battery mate...it costs just over 100 quid or so...
I have Toyota auris. 2 weeks ago same signs showed and also screen shows check hybrid system.
I went to the mechanic he diagnosed change gear ⚙️ box oil .and he removed sign .after when week signs show again then I went to an other mechanic he diagnosed( change hybrid battery). Now I confuse who was right and what should I do ? Shall I go another mechanic or what ? Can anybody help me out with this issue?
You most likely need a new hybrid battery. I’m not sure what gear oil the mechanic is referring to, sounds like he’s being dishonest with you to gain money. You can try the fix I do, it’s probably a similar setup on your car or you can get a new hybrid battery pack. In the USA the new battery is between $2,500 and $4,000. That’s more than I am willing to spend right now, so I just do what I show you in the video every couple days and it get me by with my car working and it’s free, just cost me 5 minutes to do. Good luck!
@@ClintBoland thanks 🙏.
@@londonmix my pleasure.
It work yes for 2 days then it come back
Yes , unfortunately. Your hybrid batteries are end of life as are mine. I’m not ready to drop the $2k-$4k to replace them yet so I have been doing this for over 6 months. Gets me by until I’m ready to pony up the repair costs. Better than nothing.
I also have a code eraser and erase it .
There you go!
That doesn’t fix the issue. That’s the power cable to the fuse box. It’s like disconnecting the battery but from the wrong spot.
If you watch the video, I didn’t say it’s gonna fix it. I said it’ll get you by. And it does work. I do it 2 to 3 times a month until I can find a new car or get a new battery hybrid system. The solution does work for many people.
Ti scrivo dall'Italia, e voglio ringraziarti per il tuo consiglio.. Mi hai salvato almeno fino a quando non troverò il modo di sistemare il tutto.. Grazie 🙏
