It seriously sucks that Super Mario 3d all stars didn't have 64 Ds and Galaxy 2 in it.

I would consider Super Mario Galaxy the best Mario game ever! There is a lot to explore, and a lot to fight for.
I would actually argue New Super Mario Bros. DS is the best of that series. The levels felt so tightly designed with all the secrets and that Star Coin battle mode is probably still my favorite multiplayer in the series to this day.
Side note: Really solid video, love the sense of humor here a lot.

The level design in Wii was designed in a way to be more open for multiplayer. But if you're playing alone, then the level feels barren and empty. DS has tighter levels because it was designed for a single player experience. and I love it too :)

Lovely video! I understand not putting Yoshi's Island in this list, but if Mario Maker is here you might as well include it. I personally find Super Mario World and Yoshi's Island to be my top two favorite 2D Marios!
Personally I'd say it's not a Mario game. It's a completely different style of platformer, and it only had the "Mario World 2" title to sell more. Same for Wario land. Not only that, but every time thereafter when they use that style it's a Yoshi game.

I did enjoy it the first time through, but then my son wanted to go searching for the moons and, bam, it went from a good game to a bore fest.
Such a cool premise that did almost nothing with its ideas. I started a second play through and noticed it even more. The T-Rex part is cool. All 30 seconds of it. And that was it. I got through the second play through quickly because there was nothing overly enjoyable to do. Mario World is much more enjoyable overall.
I think new super mario bros wii u should be higher and especially super mario 3d world, i really love these games, i also love new super mario bros, new super mario bros wii, super mario 64 DS, super mario maker, super mario bros wonder, super mario 64, super mario galaxy, super mario galaxy 2 and super mario odyssey. I personally think many or at least some of these games should be much higher than others like super mario 3d world or super mario bros wonder, but it is ofc a personal opinion either. Some like 2d some like 3d, it all plays a big role in their lists. It was overall a amazing video and still with the differents of your and mine opinion i think you have a very good taste of playful and wonderful mario games.

I'm still hoping for another Good to Evil list involving the Danganronpa franchise, but I would also like to see a Good to Evil list involving the Insomniac Spider-Man Games. Which would include the original Spider-Man game, the Miles Morales game, and the recently released Spider-Man 2 game.
And of course, when I said I want to see a Good to Evil list involving the Insomniac Spider-Man games, I am talking about a BIG list where all three games are on the same list. Not separating Spider-Man, Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2 in three parts.

At least Super Mario Sunshine introduced Bowser Jr. I personally prefer the Wii version of New Super Mario Bros. I think Bowser’s Fury was based off of Godzilla vs Kong. There sure are different main line Mario games here (Mario Kart, Super Mario Bros, Super Mario 3D, New Super Mario Bros, Super Mario, Mario Maker, Paper Mario, etc). The Goomba king is known as Goomboss. I think Super Mario Bros. 2 was based off of the Super Mario Bros Super Show, similar to shows SMB3, and Super Mario World. The added music with Elephant Mario is similar to the added music when riding on Yoshi. My first ever main line Mario games were Mario Kart with Wii, and Super Mario with Galaxy. Some Super Mario Galaxy themes help me go to sleep. When do you think Mario and Peach will ever get married, and how did characters like Giuseppe and Pauline find the warp pipe to the Mushroom Kingdom? Maybe Nintendo could bring back Stanley so he could be Mario’s protégé.
Mario Galaxy 2 is about as close to perfect as a game can be imo.

I don’t know about odyssey. On one hand, it kinda begs me to come back and casually play around with its smooth and responsive controls and diverse worlds to explore. On the other hand, it feels a bit hollow in the sense that it’s all about moons and moons are littered throughout the worlds. Many of them present boring or tedious challenges - or no challenge at all. So Odyssey holds no permanent spot in my personal ranking - it shifts between being top of the line and bottom of the barrel, depending on my mood.
I cab understand that it's the best mario have ever controlled the world is beautiful and the capture gimmick is so fun but to many moons and most of them your don't have to do much to find

I just dont understand the people in the comments. Odyssey solidifies its place as the number 1 best mario game. People are saying its overrated, which i find a joke. They say that the game gets boring and exhausting to play with all the power moons. In all honesty, these power moons is what makes the game ao good. From strategic to hard moons, it all comes down to the skills that the player has learned while playing. Each kingdom has its own beautiful graphics. Luncheon kingdom is a pure example, as it literally brings food and uniqueness to a whole different level. The bosses, although extremely easy, are very creative, also applying to galaxy. People say the moons are frustrating, but the frustration only makes you feel better about the game. Do u really expect everything to go ur way and to be easy?! There is some challenge in this game and it only makes it better. "Exhausting" is a complete excuse, as a person could just take their time. Whats the point of playing any game if you dont even take ur time experiencing and getting the most joy out of a game. Ur just ruining ur game experience. Odyssey is just an incredible game with everything going for it. Although it might not be the game for others, its certainly not overrated or trash, it just doesnt fit ur playstyle. Stop trying to insult a game when knowing really nothing about enjoying a game; ur just ruining ur game experience lol.

I just finished wonder and honestly I didn't like it that much. The creativity was top tier but I feel like the creativity was all the game had. The levels other than being creative just felt like I was watching a colorful animation bc the game took 0 skill and 0 brainpower so I had literally no immersion (some of those flowers were 10/10 tho), The powerups felt all the same just a little different, the badges is a great addition especially for replayability but for this game the badges just werent balanced so i bet everyone only used 1 the whole playthrough. The most memorable part of Mario games are the boss fights and there wasnt really a boss fight, went against Junior which did trhe same moves in all 4 of his fights and you could literally probably do it with your eyes closed if you just jumped around. Soundtrack imo wasn't memorable at all couldnt even hum a song in my head if I wanted to. Which I also think plays a fact it wasnt that immersive so the songs didnt have my full attention.
I think the most visual appealing the more you need to have us focus on the screen so the visuals don't take away gameplay, felt like I could beat most levels by just spam jumpin walking forward, idk if they didnt wanna do too much bc of how visually appealing it is but I think they shouldve did the opposite to not have alll attention on effects feeling like Im watching an animation or sum. I heard ppl do think it's difficult but I havent played a mario game in 10 years and died 10 times. Overall imo 6/10.
Also the fact coins were useless bc you didnt need them but for lifes which you arent dying anyways even if you're 3. I don't think they make you go out of the way to kill a single enemy either, im pretty sure you can beat the game without killing an enemy besides the bosses. like no obstacles. My opinion probably a little invalid, but alot of these ppl saying it was amazing had to have some recency bias.
