    Vapour blasting has always fascinated me! You can make the most grubby dirty engine part etc and make it look new .

    Looks amazing. Im running a 170-375 glass mesh from potters and cant come close to that sheen. Id love to know the process on how to clean engine parts prior to assembly. Thank you .

    Two questions even after thoroughly cleaning you hear horror story's of media found inside engines. I had vapour blasting on bare hubs and a few other small parts 220 pound! !

      @@kentvapourblasting2374 Oh interesting, so it’s water & abrasive. How does it leave such a smooth somewhat glossy finish. Over your normal sandblasted matte finish. My guess would be a finer abrasive?

    Question. Is there ANY chance that this method could damage any of the Gasket Surfaces? Does Vapor Blasting REMOVE any material? Thanks

    I was told by an individual that paint can be removed and that I should try using vapor blasting instead of using an aircraft paint remover on an aluminum motorcycle frame that is being prepped for powder coating.
    I told him that is not what vapor blasting is made for based on researching the process of vapor blasting.

      How is the surface seal, seems like you're just using water?
      Aluminum alloy parts recommend some type of corrosion inhibitor...like alodine.

    In this video, and in others, you are blasting the machined surfaces. In particular the machined face on the cylinder head. Are you not worried about head gasket leaks after leaving a rough surface?

      It doesn't damage the surface he says, he removed the aluminium oxide layer which is way harder than the base material, this guy chats garbage. Never ever blast a bearing surface!!

    Is it safe to not isolate the shock absorber piston rod which is chromed and polished for maximum sealant? Even thought the vapour blasting is very gentle with the surface it stil makes microscopic pores in the material or have I forgotten something?

      It won’t touch chrome, that’s just to demonstrate the process and in reality there’s no call for shocks
