Treasures of Darkness

"Treasures of Darkness" is a wonderful and compelling story about finding light, love and hope during the hardest moments of life. Join us in this musical and spoken journey to reframe great difficulties as opportunities to find an equal amount of learning, care and compassion for both self and others.
This benefit concert was given on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 7:30 pm, in the Friends University, Alumni Auditorium in Wichita, Kansas. The Church of the Savior, Chamber Choir under the direction of Dr. William Eash as the conductor, presented an evening of the most beautiful music for the purpose of spreading love and care for all those in need (which is everyone : )
Specifically, this was a benefit concert to help raise awareness and funds for Ukrainian refugees and the oppressed poor in Hungary. Miriam Overholt of Wichita, Kansas, and David Magda of Szeged, Hungary, both composed original music for this concert with the theme "Treasures of Darkness", and all of the money raised through the Kline One Foundation (KOF), was distributed to the Hungarian charity we work with (oltalom.hu/en/..., for further distribution to all the projects they serve in the region.
