I’ve watched several of the videos of this sheriff, and I absolutely love him!!! I’ve always been pro law enforcement, but this man plays no games, is straight forward, no bs, no protecting the guilty or presumed guilty. I have relatives in Lakeland and the surrounding area.
Really like this Sheriff, real man, loves his community and works hard for it. Takes the time to be transparent with press. This is old school law enforcement officer. All respect to him.

hi, folks i am former U.S. Army my self and what this soldier did, is what your military is about, this young soldier was not only trained well he took his training serious, now i was in a combat unit and i can tell you i my self had always came to the aid of normal people, when i was in the military also, this is what we do folks and i also at one time was station at FT. Hood, this was a tanker military base back in the 80's when i was station there and also i want to say thank you to Sherriff Judd, for his out standing service to lake land and others !!

Indeed. My highschool girlfriend waiting for the bus in the morning was struck in sophomore year. Took two years to learn to walk again. My best friends mother waking to store struck and thrown into the briar bushes and her skin torn to shreds. Both fled the scene. Nothing less than Felony in my opinion, knowing the consequences and risks of drinking.

I looked up the name of this poor woman, and here’s something wild: About a year earlier, a woman with almost the same name, got killed in a hit-and-run also! Her name was Kelly Marie Black, of Casper, WY. The woman here spells her name with an “i” - Kelli Marie Black. He spells her name incorrectly, here. Kelli had three daughters and a son. The other “Kelly” also had three daughters, one 19 year old and 7 year-old twins. Both women were in their early 40’s, 40 and 42. Both sad stories. I’ll never understand why people drive real fast after they’ve had too much to drink. Whenever I drink, and I never drink to excess, I make damn sure I drive within the speed limit and I’m cautious as hell. Folks, don’t drive like idiots. And don’t drive when you’re drunk. Use Uber or Lyft. This story also reminds me of a woman I knew, whose mother was waiting for a bus at a bus stop, and a car went out of control and hit her, then ran into a telephone pole. If that wasn’t bad enough the telephone pole then fell on the woman, killing her. Horrible!

Someone came out to help her and second's later another car hit both of them and left too. My friends mom barley made it. After like 30 surgeries.... She can barely walk anymore and the bystander that was helping thank God did go to the hospital but was okay.

This military soldier & his friend who stopped to help this poor lady who lay dying in the road are heroes & my prayers go out for the military soldier victim to recover completely. How human like beings can hit someone with a car and have absolutely no regard for the life they have just taken or at least caused significant damage too and simply drive away. It happens so often in the early morning hours down in Atlanta it's literally common place to hear it on the news driving to work in the mornings anymore.
I live in Polk Ct. and people driving in the county and most part in Florida are dangerous drivers. It seems that these people does not have enough driver's training and ignorant of traffic rules and courtesy. People driving while on the cellphone, always on the left lane or driving too slow. And some don't even have insurance and/or license. Something's got to change. drivers' traffic re-education is a must.
