Remember those advertisements in magazines where you could join the Columbia Record & Tape club? And to hook you, you could get like 15 cassettes for one penny? Well, one of the tapes I got in the mail was this album. And of course Rush Moving Pictures, Van Halen II, ACDC Back In Black....
+Täking Thë High Roäd I was in RCA and Columbia tape clubs several times. I got Back in Black and several Van Halen 8-tracks also. I still have several of them but no 8-track player anymore.
Hell yes I remember... But mine was Columbia House... Then you had to buy like 5-6 more over a 2-3 year period... That was some time back... I saw Krokus in San Antonio in '82 they opened for Judas Priest... Awesome band!
Gary Whitehead Yeah, Columbia House. I got suckered in to that deal too. I had them sent to a vacant house down the street so my parents wouldn't know. I saw Krokus in Indy in 85 I think. They opened for Quiet Riot.
God damn does he sound like bon Scott or what? This was my very first concert, Def Leppard (pyromania) with krokus opening up with their headhunter LP in 1983 brothers and sisters... Got tickets for my 13th birthday, thanks Mom lol... Anyway, a little trivia for you... The singer almost took bon Scott's place in AC/DC after he died but Brian Johnson won out, never realized how much he sounded like bon until a few years back... Please have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year !!! Hello from Detroit Rock City turn that shit up 💪😎👍
I swear to god, when Bon Scott died he was reincarnated as this Krokus singer dude, Marc. Freakin' awesome voice. Eat The Rich, one of their top 3 songs!
ah yes, Krokus is one of my top 5 bands, almost all start with a "K" Kiss, Krokus, Keel. this is one of the best ever done. thank you so much for the great post. What a song!!!!
I loved this band when they came out. true heavy metal. No hair band shit like poison and others. Wonder whatever happened to them & where they orginated from? And yes, he does sound like Bon from AC/DC.
I ran into this guy a lot when he had a place in London and he was a true gentleman. He was always so taken with my slade shirts heh heh but he certainly didnt have a great deal of time for Joe (Moneys too tight to mention I live in southern Ireland) Elliot and infact told me some horrendous stories including several of sound doctoring pre shows during their support slots.Punch ups were the order of the day. He loved working wif Nazareth and admired them a lot but then he would wouldnt he?
These guys are Swiss if I'm not mistaken, children of one of the most affluent societies on the face of the Earth. They want to Eat the Rich? So what would they have, the sacking of Switzerland by the Barbarians? Talk about fouling one's own nest!
13 years later: yes. They were shot on the same day in San Francisco, on Baker Beach by the Presidio. I was an extra on set. My dad let me skip school to go to the shoot.
I can just picture the non-metal fan homo art school director explaining his vision for the video- "Instead of playing your instruments you will play over sized cardboard cut outs with cool sharp edges and beat trash cans and lids...oh and singer dude, here's a bone to sing into, it will we really hip and cool."
They had to make 2 clips in short time. As money (and time) was running away, they tried to create a sort of "2 in 1". No joke. Read Chris von Rohr's bio.
Yeah man...videos do them absolutely NO justice for what they were in the 80's. But damn, if you can't get the idea of the dynamics and power this band created while performing, well then, it's obvious you didn't have the pleasure of growing up in the 80's!! METAL RULES FOREVER!!! \m/
HEY NOW!!! WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM WITH POISON OR WINGER???? THEY ARE GREAT 80'S BANDS AS WELL AS KROKUS. AND LET ME TELL YOU, YOU HOT-HEADED MANIACS THAT THEY FOCUS ON THEIR APPEARANCE AND ON THE MUSIC THEY PLAY. 80's = METAL/ HAIR METAL / GLAM METAL!!!( ok and it's pop is nice) Ade malakes
im 53 yrs old, played guitar from 12 ,listened to this album and loved it .All of the 80s rock stuff was fantastic.I grew up listening to halen, satch, morse, malmstein, metallica, gnr .Do i need to go on. 70s zep ,purple back to hendrix etc.Come the 90s and the fun went out with guitar bands, too much angst .Probably best that cobain blew his brains out .While were at it jimmy page should stop fucking his jailbait girlfriend while remastering another zep album and put out an album with jason bonham ,jonesy and plant. At least put out a solo album.
Video quality matches my memory of the era.

I love this song and love Fozzy's cover of it, Krokus was way underrated, they will always be one of my fondest musical memories of the 80s
ah yes, Krokus is one of my top 5 bands, almost all start with a "K" Kiss, Krokus, Keel. this is one of the best ever done. thank you so much for the great post. What a song!!!!

49 people should be out of the palace and into the ditch
Sounds exactly like Bon Scott.
Not exactly, no. But there’s a resemblance, yes.
Yeah minus all the good.
Except that he sounds absolutely nothing like Bon Scott
His style is similar to Brian Johnson, but the three voices are incredibly distinct
Out of the palace into the ditch!

one of the 80's most under rated bands [ HEADHUNTER ;greatness]
when Bon passed this guy should of took over, but brian did them right.............
Udo Dirkschneider from Accept would've been a good choice too.
KROKUS is HARDROCK.

Krokus #`1 Metal band of all-time!
Off the headhunter album..Good jams.
@NIKKGAGE1994
Actually, Marc Storace was asked if he wanted to audition for ac/dc, but he declined to stay with Krokus.
cant get any radio station to play this song give me a break
These guys are Swiss if I'm not mistaken, children of one of the most affluent societies on the face of the Earth. They want to Eat the Rich? So what would they have, the sacking of Switzerland by the Barbarians? Talk about fouling one's own nest!
why didn't ac/dc seek this guy out to replace bon?
Kevin Knight yeah righto dickhead
Man i miss the sound a guitar makes when it SCREAMS! Music today can't hold a candle to what music used to be.
krazy vid awesom song thanks Krokus!!!4 ever
I remember seeing Krokus when they were on tour with Def Leppard and John Butcher Axis. Krokus blew Def Leppard off the stage that night.
YEAH! KROKUS!
wasnt screamin in the night filmed on the same set?
Best song! 35/35
13 years later: yes. They were shot on the same day in San Francisco, on Baker Beach by the Presidio.
I was an extra on set. My dad let me skip school to go to the shoot.
I've got my fork and my knife, let's do this fucking thing.
I can just picture the non-metal fan homo art school director explaining his vision for the video- "Instead of playing your instruments you will play over sized cardboard cut outs with cool sharp edges and beat trash cans and lids...oh and singer dude, here's a bone to sing into, it will we really hip and cool."
I closed my eyes and heard a little Quiet Riot in there...
They most likely can still rock it the way they did it back in the 80s.
Fucking Krokus!!! In L.A.
@Hollywood7779 the singer of krokus actually auditioned for ac/dc after bon died, but they denied him
They had to make 2 clips in short time. As money (and time) was running away, they tried to create a sort of "2 in 1". No joke. Read Chris von Rohr's bio.
Fuk yes old school metal
they put on great concert...........to bad we dont have touring bands like this anymore
The rich W I L L be eaten ....let us eat cake.

EAT THE RITZ
@MrBureaucracy no ....its a hair roller i believe ...you should hear what he can do with a styling wand.

I remember seeing Krokus when they opened for Def Leppard on Def's Pyromania tour. They put on a great show and I felt they out played Def Leppard.

hell yeah!!! KROKUS! eat the freakin' rich!
sentiment still accurate
Rocking....
Fernando Von Arb had one of the best live sounds I've ever heard.
I aggravated my mom, cranking this tune, back in high school. Cool.
Today's new rock is so horrible!
For those of you who have the skills and knowledge.......send this vid global
Yeah man...videos do them absolutely NO justice for what they were in the 80's. But damn, if you can't get the idea of the dynamics and power this band created while performing, well then, it's obvious you didn't have the pleasure of growing up in the 80's!! METAL RULES FOREVER!!! \m/

pwn is the stupidest thing you could say about a ock band from the 80s. back then, they kicked ass. there was no such thing as pwn.
God, what a voice
🔍 🎧 ❤
Theme song of the 99%
Hilarious hair metal that actually sounds good.
eat the rich
Now all i need to hear is the camaro song
Not sure how to diagnose this disturbance ... especially the fantasy about being kicked in the balls as a good thing.
Long live Mr. Bon-Marc!!!
Even more pertinent.
And that's how the FOZZY song came to be.
OneUltimateWarrior Lol.
Message to congress and the elite....
Out of the palaces and into the ditch!!!!!
Check the live video of them doing this. No cheese. All rock.
Was this filmed with a potato under water?
THE OCCUPY WALL STREET LEGION, WILL EAT THE RICH!!! \m/ LOL
good advice from krokus - i always prefer to eat the rich, they taste full and creamy. The poor taste rather bitter..
love it
Has that been confired, that he was offered the gig or auditioned for AC/DC?
If so, big mistake on his part turning it down.
@michaelnolan1000 AGREE, add UFO, Y&T, GIANT, TYKETTO, XYZ, STEELHEART etc to the list.
rest in peace Dani....
