I love this song.. Makes me proud of who my ancestors are, I have two great chiefs in my bloodline.. Tecumseh from my father's side and Chief Pontiac from my moms side of the family.. The day when I was in the lodge at the Medwin ceremonies in 2007 , with a eagle staff done in honor of them being allies , being pregnant with my first child.. Was such a amazing day feeling love from alot of people, My Uncle would call me and my children historical babies, especially with my son when the Saginaw Chippewa Indian tribe of Michigan declared war on drugs in 2014, he was holding my infant son as he signed the paper declaring war on the heroin epidemic that has been claiming so many lives , I am doing my best to raise my children with the 7 grandfather teachings and your song is something that I had to hear.. Our two Peoples met over a thousand years ago in the Northeastern portions of Canada/USA. Regardless of our initial contact and their dire results, know now that today in 2021, this Germanic/Norse Heathen tribesman embraces and supports two local Native powwows and attends both annually with my wolfdog, Beowulf. I remind myself that we are all more alike than we are different. This current age of division has an unseen puppet master attempting to turn us all against one another based on something as silly as the colors red, white, black, brown, and yellow. Let's come together and end this war, and strive again for peace among People, all People: Americans, Europeans, Africans, and Asians. The only color that matters is that we all bleed red.
