There are a few select items that can change the outcomes of breeding. An Everstone for Natures and Forms. The Destiny Knot and Power Items for Individual Values affecting stats. Ability Patches and Capsules for different odds of Ability inheritance. And most recently, the Mirror Herb which speeds up Egg Move Breeding significantly. For the example I was making the assumption that the regional form didn't already have your desired nature. If it already has Modest then you can breed with one Everstone instead.
