  • The full race coverage of the onboard clip between the two Corollas. Quality reflects 25 year old video tape. I am a fan of 1980's group A racing, not of any car brand in particular. Look out for the rest of the race under my videos . Enjoy.

    With Win Percy and Pete Hall in the ICS / Rouse Sierras, I have to wonder, where was Andy Rouse during this round ?

    • @inquisitor229
      @inquisitor229  Před 5 lety +2

      Rouse concentrated more on the WTCC in 1987, so was at the clashing Nurburgring round instead. Win Percy could win in just about anything, the Spa 24 hours in a Jaguar XJS (1984) and an RS500 (1989) - plus Bathurst in a Holden Commodore (1990).

      @@inquisitor229 Thanks for your reply.
      I remember Andy Rouse going head to head with the Eggenburger Sierras at Brands Hatch and Donnington(?), plus Bathurst in Brocks Rouse prepped RS500, but didn't know he did other rounds of the ETCC and WTCC.
      As for Win, yep, that guy could drive anything fast. Different tin-tops, Group C Le Mans to name just two.

      Sad to hear about this.
      He showed that there was more to circuit racing than just F1.

    So sad that Rover are no more.
    They ruined everything trying to cater to old men but also try to be the British BMW Mercedes.
    Rover should have stayed the no bs British Chav car v8 options loud and cheap we'd still have them today.
    Rover tom cat is a beautiful car that wipes the floor with most Europe coups of then. Only Japan coups rival the tom cat imo.
    Rover really F up when they did that buggati boy racers car I think that's what finished them off if only they did a new v6 ZR or something instead. A flaming hot hatch.
    I still see ZRs around my town. They are great cars. Rover 200 top spec
    Rover v8 was a beast too. A car for USA in UK. Its sickening they failed are gone but MG lives on.
