I think the fuse box is different but the same concept applies, there should be a fuse that goes to that display but you might have to research the fuse diagram for 2017.
Looking at the fuse map here… the fuse you replaced it is responsible for what? The only 7,5a fuses on that fuse box are a no circuit one and an onboard diagnosis system…. Nothing is related to audio
I don't remember but here is the website www.justanswer.com/toyota/4x8b1-toyota-prius-radio-2005-prius-does-not-work-fuse.html cabin fuse is 7.5 amp under hood fuse is 15 amp, I had to replace the 7.5 under the dash.
Wondering if there is a way to repair the gen 3's with the display symptoms shown in the YT video "Toyota Prius Touchscreen Dying !!" ? I haven't made a video of mine doing that yet... though seems to be a 2013 issue primarily from reading online. I've only seen one other comment wasn't and theirs was reported as a 2014.
unfortunately I have not worked with a gen 3 Prius that has this issue :( best of luck and I really hope you figure it out!! I've never heard of a gen 3 display going out before..
pull it with pliers or pull it up carefully with a butter knife WITH CAR OFF. Or they can usually do it for you. Sorry, i am not very active here! hope you found a solution. All fuses are unfortunately different labels depending where you got it or the quality but it's in that same spot regardless. if you still having issues then put a comment on my new videos and I'll help you
Any idea how to fix the speedometer?? Radio display works. Turn signals. Passenger airbag and of course check engine all work. It's just the speedometer. Not the cluster I believe. It'll sometimes turn on after unplugging and replugging the battery once we turn it off speedometer is gone. Any idea
it may be a fuse or it might be a loose connection. take it to your mechanic and have them look at it, it could be either issue hopefully it's a fuse though.
My display is working but sometimes it jutst reboots and/or lockdown. The screen is working in high temperature, but malfuncs in low temp (like below 30 degree Celsius). Do not know how to fix it.
30 degrees C is still pretty hot? do you mean when it's below freezing? older electronic devices have problems with cold anyways it's to be expected just from the old capacitors and chips and such reacting to the temp change i think
@@arlenemayer5966good question! my 06 is doing the same. radio works but doesn't light up never has and MFD works intermittently...took apart dash everything tight wire wise. replaced new 12v battery, was due maybe battery from 2014. No idea why MFD is so randomly working...when it works its perfect but that is now only 15% of the time..
Might be a bad connection somewhere in the screen yeah:( unless you have a voltage tester and can micro solder, you best bet is to call junk yards or hit eBay for a new used one. New displays are ridiculously expensive.
Huge help. This is what happened to my car and all it cost was $4 to replace the fuse at autozone. Thanks man
yay!
@@Hubcaps219is that display available for sale... My display works but the previous owner crack many of the buttons

Thanks buddy!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
Just wondering if this would apply to a Prius V 2017 since you're talking about Gen II.
My top display suddenly went black today.

Which one did you replace? The one labeled panel? Only my screen isn’t working so wondering which one to try thank you
Also how do you take a fuse off?

I don’t have that blue wire, so you happen to know what that wire does?
Install the blue fuse

prius display nit working ?
prius display nit working ? Fuse
What if my clock works and CD buttons and the only synptom is a black screen? Is it just bad?
had the same issue like you described. I had to go for a replacement mfd unit, plug and play it worked. Did cost me around 300 USD.
Bad screen
I tied to attach it but there is no wire hanging down. I’m a 72 year old female trying to figure this out!! Any help would be appreciated
You fix it yet?
@@Hubcaps219 no. I have been driving my other car

the fuse is #6 and shares with the power windows ... the windows are working but the screen is dark. What to do?
Year?
this work with 2009 one?
Looks like, 2009 is a gen 2 Prius unless there are some 2009 gen 3's I'm not aware of.

Hey, my screen just started cutting out. But, It looks like the clock is still there. Do you think this might be a symptom of the fuse going bad?
Yes
@@Hubcaps219I tried it out. Sadly it didn’t work. I think the screen is dying off

Bad wire plug connection. get a friend who knows about wiring and have him/her look at it
I watched the video but my fuse panel looks different
