  • had to make a holster for school, I have experience making kydex holsters, been making them for people at random for three years. many tips and tricks. plenty of people do it better than me. but I've got a dremel, and good intentions, popsicle sticks and an imagination... so don't laugh at me.

This is by far one of the best videos I've seen on how to make a holster! I like that you do the whole gun instead of just part of it. It seems to give you more stuff to work with!

I have TWO Kel-Tec P-11's that had lousy trigger pulls (roughly 10#) and I "thought" about trading them. With MCARBO trigger adjustments and metal recoil spring guide rods, the trigger pulls were cut in half. With new 12rd flush mags and added pinkie extensions, I wouldn't trade them for anything now.

Something about seeing the process is very cool. I hope to doing this soon as well as doing custom designs on the kydex. Great video.

Nice work! I’m thinking either you’re not married or your wife is very understanding to allow you to bake kydex in her oven 🤣

It never really had a smell she brings it up if she's home and I do it but usually it's while she's out I do the pressing portions

    Hey @BetterBuilt!
Loved the video, hoping you could let us know what foam was used? I'd love to try my hand at making a custom holster for my odd gun/light combo.

You've probably moved onto a better system by now, but if not, try using an impact wrench to tighten up quicker. But nicely done!

Agreed, but his threaded rod looks too long for a deep socket to fully tighten. I’d shorten the rod or get a really long barrel nut.
