You'll have to bake/export it as an image texture, and then convert the image texture to 3D with the addon.
The addon only accepts image(JPG, PNG, Webp) files.

It works on every image I think. For example, to turn an alpha into geometry. Really useful addon.

I don't see any benefits compared to Trace image to grease pencil (natively present in Blender). This addon as way less settings to tweak. The result in the video is not great.
You will have better result by understanding how to use Blender than relying on such addon.
