I'm of the school that you don't use oil while cooking your pasta cause if you stir your pasta in the first couple of minutes I have never had my pasta stuck and stir your pasta once and a while until it's done. I stir mine maybe 4times while it is cooking. I also cook mine a little less cause I prefer al dente which means tooth bite. I used to use oil cause that is how I was taught but after watching cooking shows on food network while I was on dialysis the first time about 15 years ago I tried it with and without oil. Even Lidia's Italy she's from Italy and she's never done that trick. If I remember correctly in one of her shows she explains and shows the differences. I personally found and have tested it a couple of times that if you use oil in your pasta that when you put your sauce on it'll not adhere to the pasta it'll slide off. But to each their own. Hugs love and bee safe.
