And that's just the first lineup. Wallace and Wiggins are also great on ball defenders as well with Isiah Joe very underrated defensively. That's a peaky night for every opponent. Championship level trade right here. The way these guys play defense reminds me of the 96 Bulls they just need some bulk to top things off.

I remember Alex Caruso's first time coming into the game in training camp for the Lakers. Guy is surveying the floor, pointing out places for people to go like a 10 year vet. His play making and rebounding go under the radar because of his great defense. The Thunder did good here.
This is a huge move by presti he got rid of giddey and his bad press and brought someone in that can help them get to the next step in the postseason this is up there with the knicks signing brunson a few years back in terms of changing the trajectory

I think OKC made the right move for what they needed and at the same time the ball had been taken out of Giddey’s hands for SGA and that’s understandable. As an OKC fan Josh is... interesting. Great work ethic, great attitude, still young can improve a bunch. Amazing passer. Shot sucks but is getting better every year and his defense is pretty suspect too but he tries at least. Dunno if it was a good deal for the Bulls tbh but you'll definitely enjoy a bunch of flashy passes at the very least. Good luck to him!

OKC makes a trade for a great defender & still get to keep all of their 642 draft picks. Chicago is just dumping salaries. That means Zach Lavine can be had for a lot less than they tried to fleece the Lakers for last season. Fire sale in Chi Town.

This is a trade that's good for everybody. Caruso gets to move to a more talented team and better chance in the playoffs. Giddy gets to receive more playing time.
The Thunder get the high defensive player they were needing. And the Bulls receive a solid young point guard to replace Lonzo.
If Caruso can play like he did in the "Bubble", then he'll help OKC, get over the "hump" next season = if they had him, shooting well this season, they would've had a better series vs. DAL = this is a great pickup + it's OBVIOUS that teams are gearing-up for next season, specifically targeting DAL defence issues

Coby is not losing his starting PG role unless it's to Lonzo because if he's cleared than eventually he's getting that back. 20mil doesn't sit on the bench. If Lavine us dealt I can see Giddy starting at the 2 or coming off the bench as PG/SG if he's not. My guess is Lavine & Lonzo gets traded, Demar signs elsewhere, & we're bottom 5 in the league next season. Then AK & Billy Don are finally fired.
