    In the case of saline filled alveoli
    ⬇️
    One of the Opposing force for expansion, that is surface tension becomes zero
    ⬇️
    As opposing force for the expansion of lung is removed,
    ⬇️
    Lung compliance increase
    Meaning that when compared to before for an unit change in tpp more expansion is seen
    So, slope of the graph increases
    Is this correct?

    I have a doubt, in the last part of the lecture how is the upper parts of the lung less compliant as compared to lower part, as we know compliance means the extent of expansion of lung

      Because at the basal side lungs have more area to expand you well know about this if you study anatomy lung chapter in which diaphragmatic recess is explained this recess is area for expansion of lung and diaphragmatic recess is most dependent that’s why at basal lung expand more

      Because of the stretch that upper alveoli experiences due to gravity and upwards due to negative pressure. So the alveoli could not stretch further due to two opposing forces .
      Thus I understood through najeeb sir's videos

      @@prat911kdunno but I think if upper surface of lungs has less area less ipp hence less tpp. So less force to expand resulting into less compliance leading to less ventilation.
