Actually not. Stars, living constantly in the limelight and constantly hounded by the media ("X & Y seen having lunch, must be having an affair! X insists they have been friends for decades and Y's wife was unavailable for comment") are likely to divorce over time. But the average working actor--whose face is familiar but whose name evades you--is no more likely to divorce than you are.

Calista and Allyy McBeal are part of my beautiful memories. In such a hard day, it wash away by watching the drama. just heartwarming. I wish Calista healthy and happy always.

Lockhart was good in The Birdcage but you're very shrewd taking her husband off a mini driver he obviously didn't like mini driver
I don't really watch such shows but for those few episodes and glimpses I did, I kinda felt a lot of sadness and loneliness. Vonda Shepard's soulful renditions of those lovelorn tunes added much fuel to those vibes. You belong to me. Baby don't you break my heart slow. It was special.
If they make an Ally McBeal reboot, I hope they bring back Robert Downey Jr. as Larry Paul. Who else would like to see them finally get married?

If a character is the most popular woman on television but Belafonte doesn’t think she’s feminist enough or at all, it would seem that most women aren’t much interested in Belafonte’s brand of feminism, which has little to do with what most young women yearn for.
Don't like her and didn't like the character or the themes. She is way way too thin also.

For somebody who carried her own TV series, married Harrison Ford, raised a child or children, and went back to her acting career, she is certainly enviable.
I've always thought that Calista Flockhart and Sarah Michelle Gellar resemble eachother - more their faces than anything else. That's it, just a thought to share!

I noticed that too! But only for a moment. I would say between season 5 and 7. They both had the same “sleeves a little too long for the arms” look. 😄 But then after they didn’t resemble each other to me. It was like a moment where their dimensions crossed and then that’s it 😆

Rather see her in a great new role, entirely. She needs to be given some good material that lends to her chops and where she is now as an actress. Not 20 years ago. Reboots are rarely good. Ally McBeal was of its time and should remain there. It was great and always will be one of my best shows. Calista would be great in a role we have never seen her play like a gritty drama, thriller or horror series.
She's great. Looking forward should be the thing.
I was too young to catch Ally Mcbeal but I heard it was amazing. I love brothers and sisters though it's my favorite show of all time. I was old enough to watch it when it first aired and now I'm binge watching it again years later on my Smart TV. I would like to see her in another role kind of like brothers and sisters she's really good at emotional and emotions.

She was not the only actress to play a character of strength, feminism, meeting others on her own terms. Many others just as good if not better. Anyone remember Candice Bergen as Murphy Brown, Rosanne Barr as Rosanne Connor, even Mary Tyler Moore who led the way! Cagney and Lacey's Tyne Daly, and The characters that Tina Fey and Amy Pohler played on their shows as well as SNL, ETC>< ETC.. Etc.
