@@dyllon1800 sure i gotchu. first off: for football acceleration (first 20 - 30 yards of a 40 yard dash, 100M, 200M) is Key! To improve acceleration the gym IS your friend doing things like box squats, step ups, sled pushes, hang cleans will really help. If you are trying to get faster you don't want to go out and do like 10 - 20 reps of sprints which many people do because they THINK it will make them faster. for acceleration training stick to like 6 x 30M sled pushes, 2 x 3 x 30M hill runs (hill can be like 15-30 degree angle) or 6 x 20 M accelerations from a 4 point start, 3 point start, or crouched over position warm up with a dynamic warmup (think high knees butt kicks leg swings) NOT static stretches (they will decrease your force output before your workout) stretch after for better recovery MAXIMUM VELOCITY (aka top speed) to improve your top speed, (This refers to is the highest possible speed you can achieve) you can do 6 x 20 M flies (basically you slowly build up speed until you reach the first cone then you go as fast as possible until you reach the second cone. work on staying up tall not crouched over. film yourself to make sure your technique is on point) follow this up with some form of plyometrics like (LOOK THESE UP) straight legged bounds - 3 x 30 M or pogo hops 3 x 10 jumps etc. plyometrics really are your friend but don't do to many reps just do a couple with as much INTENSITY as possible REST- make sure you rest enough in between each rep usually i find for a hard sprint i take 3 -5 minutes good luck bro and for more info on technique, workouts, recovery and what not watch ATHLETE.X (not athlean.x haha totally different channels) also I like Nick Waddell he has some good content train hard, do your research, and you got this!
