- First of all thanks to TVS - Gmp Automobiles Chandigarh for giving us the opportunity to ride the very special Apache RR 310, This bike is a big surprise against the dominating RC 390, And leaving a great impression on me, i can not wait any longer to ride the bike for at least a 100 Kms where i can explore its full potential. hello there... good review.. that you said 4:04 - reverse incline engine so the engine little bit forward was wrong.
the TVS APACHE 310rr has reverse incline engine little bit backward.
The single-cylinder engine that powers the Apache RR 310S is mounted at 180 reverse. This allows a longer swingarm to be accommodated in a short wheelbase bike. The result lower centre of gravity and better weight distribution making the Apache a much better handling bike.
hii Kartik, Thanks for the feedback, What i meant to say was that the dimensions of the engine were changed and so the engine can be placed a little bit further along with the chassis. so you get more space behind the engine. Apologies if i could not say that right :-)

Are there more vibrations at high rpm in apache rr310 ? Dominar 400 or apache rr310 which will make rider happy ?
The vibrations in single cylinder engines are more or less the same after 300cc. somehow the Apache would make you happier because of great aerodynamics,braking, acceleration, top speed, suspension and the handling, Now all of these points are to the mark because TVS has done a great research on all of this. Also the looks are killer.

the idle RPM is disturbingly high. unnecessary fuel wastage. can we decrease the idle rpm so as to justify the fuel requirement?
I understand the frustration but the BMW guys have done a lot of research on this and as the stroke is not too long and the compression ratio is also moderate so in this case they have to keep the revs higher, Even i was annoyed at once but as soon as i started riding the bike, within no time i got used to it. Not necessarily fuel gets wasted in this phenomenon, the amount of air and fuel is controlled by the ECU and that will take care of the feed. Lets wait for a couple of months to get the right fuel average and i still need to confirm if they have given any sort of screw to lower the idle, once i get the info i will get back to you brother.
Being a big short stroke single, idealing should be high or the Engine will stall. Please don't compare with small single cylinder engine and long stroke bullet engine.
This is a brilliant bike.. between this and duke 390 which should I go for.. I'm moving from the Mojo which I am fed up with
See there are many things to look at brother. if you want an all rounder then just go for the Apache and if you wanna go on the Track and want to open the throttle all the time compromising on the comfort then you must go for the RC, Although i would choose Apache over RC because of so many things. feel free to ask me anything and i will be happy to answer, Do mention your priorities.
We Throttle he is asking for Duke not RC. And 2017 Duke 390 is better and lot more practical than old model. Most reviewers are unfortunately forgetting about Duke 390 and calling Apache an allrounder. Honestly Duke 390 is a better allrounder, with 13.4l tank, better seats and if someone says the 2017 Duke 390 overheats, I will punch him in his face. And it's suspension is a lot more supple than older model. And Duke 390 has more power and it can be felt easily. And 390 has more features. I own a 2017 d390 and honestly Apache 310r felt underwhelming after getting used to 390. And refinement on Duke 390 is far better. However it is slightly easier to ride the Apache in traffic as you can do lower speeds in higher gear.

Wow, Ty so much brother, First of all apologies for getting confused with RC and duke, i totally agree with you about the duke, Just a couple of things i didnt like were-
1- Suspension- Quite stiff for everyday performance.And even for the long tours the Suspension needs to be changed/altered.
2- Seat- It touches the Inner thigh when sitting on a stand still bike.
The power is not everything, Sometimes we also have to see if that power is always usable or not. i am a great fan of duke 390 due to its ability to bring the fast and furious in me. But I would just like to say that keeping up on a constant speed and being comfortable in all areas and terrains the Apache is really good. The suspension setting is just perfectly right.
Now Apache is a all rounder because of all of these Things combined.

I am a student and very much in love with this bike but I am a bit mileage concious . What's the mileage in city ? Should I go for it ? Or not and if not which is the best bike for me in the same price range but with a reasonable mileage for a student to commute day to day life on a daily basis
Well i Understand your love towards the bike but if you want something to have fun on, i would recommend FZ250 because that bike can deliver better everything at a very good price. You may also check this bike but you might have to stop for the refill every now and then.

AKSHAY BABERIYA again both are a very different approach, R15 is more of a track focused bike with non relaxed ergos. and fz25 is more of a all rounder. although I would love to go for R15 😋

Awab Jamadar pillion seat was a surprise for me because it is so we'll arranged on this bike that pillion would feel happy riding with you. it's comfortable and would be great for a long ride.

Hii There can be a difference if you go for the free flow exhaust, Power to weight ratio will alter and also 0-4% of the BHP will increase which might lead to a better top end.

No Brother, it is a Demo bike from The dealership here.
Man went for a test drive & they didn't let me drive out of the parking saying it's not permitted. How can one judge a sports bike by driving it in a cramped parking for a km or two at a speed hardly crossing 40 kmph?! Lucky you to have got one for a demo. Lame support by GMP Motors Chandigarh. Don't feel like going to them to purchase this bike.

I love everything of this bike...except its exhaust...worst exhaust... tvs should use different exhaust note
Sumanjit Rajbongshi -hii actually I think the same that TVS should have used their own exhaust because they have better exhaust note on their own engines like rtr200.

Actually they might be bounded by BMW and Emission norms, But after buying you can go for an aftermarket exhaust and i am sure many brands are going to make one for BMW in Europe.
Price need to be lower to compete with dominar. Duke390 is out of apache league for now.
Considering the Equipment and Quality of the bike, i Think the price is quite justified. Still it would be icing on the cake.
We Throttle also TVS gonna sell less coz it has shitty distribution system. Dont know what they were thinking or smoking.

Hows exhaust note??
Exhaust note can be felt as soon as you start riding the bike above 3-4 k RPM. But i would like to change the Exhaust Unit.
Honestly, it doesn't sound that punchy when riding on cities, especially at low speeds.

I Know, The average wat i have said is in my style of riding. When i rode the bike, it was giving me an average of 17.5 kmpl.
