SAME
I come back and watch this often. It moves me in a way few things do. Thank you. 💜
Me too
Love this! I so relate to what you said...I find myself coming back to listen to this song very often. This video/song/ the dancing just gives me chills & I instantly cried the 1st time I herd this beautiful song & sometimes I still do. Idk this song just resonates with me 💜
I come back every now and then too. Volume Up. Full Screen and disappear.
As do I
This is the deepest, most beautiful dance I've ever seen.
I thought she was going to fall on her face
Raelyn Walsh Same
Everyone keeps talking about the girl, but do you see this guy! He's lines are beautiful! That leg extension at the beginning I paused it and just stared in awe! Every movement he made was just breathtaking for me. I am reinspired to dance from watching him. The whole this was beautiful and I've watched it over and over. The lifts! I could go on and on. This was well done and a provoking story.
no but, the way he moves. in most dances between a guy and a girl, the guy just usually stands there having to lift the girl, but when he danced, that was when the real show was. I'm getting kinda sick of dancers just using tricks and lifts in their dances, I want to see dancing. and this was well choreographed and the guy moved so well and so fitting to the theme.
Because I am a Lady They talk about the girl because she is Shy'm a French singer.
The Silicone Cat Her name is Tamara Marthe
Because I am a Lady
I´m totally agree with you! The both do a amazing dance here. Without the guy there would not be a dance t´who fit with this lovely, sad song!
Because I am a Lady both were good
i wish i could meet the people who danced and created this. if only they knew how much it spoke to me. not only did i used to dance, which i miss so much, but there is so much addiction in my family its unreal. myself, a recovering addict. i just.... i watch it almost everyday. thank you. ❤
I wish u all the best for the future ❤
❤❤
Thank you for your comment, it really means as much to us. ❤️
Zack
PS keep up the good work

5 years on and I still come back to this piece. It resonates with me even more today, here & now. It depicts the emotions experienced “dancing with the devil” of Cancer with my partner for the last year. And the medicine.... thank you for such a moving piece.
I think that this is one of those rare times in life where you get to witness something so incredible that words can't even form in your brain because of this incredible event that has unfolded before your eyes. I don't think I will ever look at dance the same way because this was incredible. I look at this and I see not dance but art. Real, incredible, moving, feeling, art. The technique was right up there with the emotional content of the dancers. I am so moved and I always find something to critique and I must admit every flaw is what made it that much more powerful. This was raw, real, grounded, and deeply emotional thank you so much for sharing this with the world.
I'm almost 77 years old and my eyes welled up with tears. Passion, both beautiful and frightening. Truly a. wonder to see this energy, love and passion in us as human beings. We try to hide these feelings so close to your chests. Thank you.
I've never seen anything more beautiful dance wise. This is a true masterpiece.

I love cried so much. U could really feel a deep meaning into the song that this dance gave it. that's why I love to dance.
Was anybody else in freaking tears ? 😨😨😭😭😭😭this had so much depth it was beautiful 😭😭😭 2:50 to the end I feel like it was showing that she loved this person so much that she would do anything to help him so she dove in without fear and was consumed by the same things he was going through 🙁🙁and at 3:27 did u notice how both of them looked like they were trying to portray hanging themselves the swaying motion and limp neck? It really is an amazing dance 😭. It was like after she was in it wholey with him they were suffering together going through the same motions in their minds and what she thought he didn't need "the medicine" she needs it now to and they're falling apart together . idk I just really like this
Autumn Taylor i cried
I felt the same...in tears
I suggest you to watch the official clip, the girl is a french singer : shy'm and the song : si tu m'aime encore
when I watched this dance I took it the same way..... after she leaped into him and got sucked into his darkness I cried....
autumntayyy nop
my attention was carried away by the movements of the boy's legs. so much grace.
This is art. It shows the real struggle of what drugs can do to someone and how it affects their partner. So beautiful. Amazing choreography. In love.
Shanya Senneh that's kinda funny actually because I picture it that the girl IS the drugs like personified...
This dance always reminds me of my first relationship, it was exactly like this. Our love was so powerful, but we would destroyed a small part of it … little by little every time we touched … a small piece would break off … year after year .. becoming just a memory of the love we once had.
I thought the guy is a drug addict. The female character was in love with him and tried to pull him back from it. In the end, she was so frustrated and she decided to use drug herself. Then he lost her and mourned in pain.
Siyao Zhang I agree!! My students and I watched this to pull it apart. This choreo and the story is amazing!!!!!
We went crazy when we saw the girl in the white shirt! Lol. It really is amazing
I took it like he was suffering some kind of mental disorder, and she was by his side through the whole struggle of it, and in the end, it consumed her and made her crazy. Not saying I'm right lol, it's just as I see it as someone who has gone through something like that. Beautiful tho, whatever the message. ❤️
I thought it was about autism
Ahh I wrote so much. It erased..
I am so in love with this video.
stunning, moving and full of emotions
currently battling an addiction with perscription pills i only started taking because of extreme back pain and now its taken a hold of my life. every day, every minute, every second is about the pill. Im not even necessarily getting high but feeling no pain is the goal and now feeling no withdrawals either. My partner has stood by my side as i battle this and will not give up & im forever grateful. Although sometimes i wish he would so he wouldn't be under so much stress, getting nightmares, lying to his and my family, our friends, taking me back and forth to dr appointments constantly and coming over when im to sick to leave my bed & hold me while i shake & cry from the agonizing & debiltating pain. I can honestly say i just might be dead if it werent for him. i love him so much i can't stand to see this pain i put him through
You can get through this 💙💙💙
i wood love be friend and help YOU with your problem cuz i love helping
people with there problems once i will never leave you
How are you now?
Have you won the fight yet?
im not perfect but in a much much better place :)
Absolutely amazing! The woman is beyond perfect: her looks, her dancing, her expression, her everything.
But the dude... people, let's not forget him here! He's so damn good! I can look at him doing this piece for hours.
Every time I come here to watch, I forget to breath.
If you are unfortunate enough to have someone close to you as an addict, my heart goes out to you, to us.
The fact that medicine was misspelled at the beginning of the video just kills me but I adore the dance
We spelled it the French way not thinking it would go any farther... The English spelling is on Vimeo, our mistake 😐
Oh, I didn't know that's how you spell it int french! Thought it was a typo, sorry. Love your work though (:
+Zack Benitez I actually never thought it was a typo.
I knew the song and knew she was kinda singing it like 'medecine' so I thought it was a cool and cute reference to this ;)
Serena Flores same here 😂
Love the move from 1:50 to 1:57. The amount of fluidity that you two can achieve astounds me. Wonderful job.
Yeesss!! That part was so smooth & amazing!!
Rarely have I cried harder or made a stronger emotional connection to a piece of art. My heart goes out to all those struggling with mental illness and addiction and to all those who choose to walk with them.
Being in recovery from addiction after being hit, ran over and dragged 15ft by a City Bus this…THIS IS…my reality. You see I was in recovery from Meth, 18 months to the day, and I was a dancer. Just started teaching kids hip hop. That night changed my life forever! Already being an addict in recovery saved my life that night as I lost 80% of my blood from that accident. Yet, I became addicted to pain medication. It was my life after that day! I now have 10 pins and 1 plate in my hips holding it all together. I got off the pain medication in 2015!
This is how it was for me on meds everyday! Having to choose between quality of life. I’m grateful today I don’t have to live this way anymore! ❤❤❤❤
its 5 years later and I still come back to watch this. Truly amazing!
I see two stories in this dance:
1. Where the woman is the addiction the man is trying to get away from
2. What they intended: a lover who is struggling with her partner's addiction and the person he once was, only to succumb to his demons and dive head first into his addiction.
And I think both of these stories have an incredible, lasting message. Just amazing
Absolument merveilleux, la danse peut véhiculer tellement d'émotion...
my heart cried while watching this ... art and expression in its purest form
This is my interpretation of the dance:
The female dancer is the drug addiction. Notice how she starts on the ground and twitching. And the male dancer, succumbing to addiction, finds himself in the desolate building seeking out his addiction.
She sees him and walks up to him, the guy obviously still wary. She thens sinks straight into him with her head, inviting him to pick her up. She then drops to the ground and pulls him in. He looms over her and with 1 leg straight and high, representing him taking her in and getting "high", and then they roll around the ground getting intoxicated. Standing up representing the completion of the intake, and he falls into her control. Notice her expression being aggressive as she manipulates him and covers his mouth, then she climbs on top of him, showing that she's in control. After the series of lifts, she walks away and smears her hand over his face, once again showing control, then holds him from behind showing her holding him back and clinging on to him, her fingers reaching foward and closing representing the drug fumes, and she claws his forearm, and a little special effects of the veins turning black from her corruption. He breaks free from her to do impressive moves but she holds him and puts him to the ground again. He stands up but she clings on to him again from behind and on top. And sinks her body down on him forcing him to hold on to her, once again with aggressive expressions.
When she leaps on him and wears white is where i'm not too sure what it means. My best bet is that by fully embracing the drug (catching her) he's brought back to the past memory. The role of the female dancer with the white shirt is switched to girlfriend. He and his girlfriend were both hopeless addicts where she died of overdose.
This spoke volume.
Thats amazing, maybe she wore white too to show that the drugs and him became one and it is now a part of him
PageNeo and at the end he tried to lift her up again but it doesn’t work representing he doesn’t get high the same as it did in the first place and the drug isn’t having the same effect. And that leads to him feeling suicidal (rope bit) and crying at the end and frantically trying to hold onto what he got from the drug at the end
PageNeo I never thought about it like this, it makes complete sense which makes it even more beautiful and heartbreaking
White.. surrender? Addiction surrender.. he surrenders with ADDICTION.. not giving up tried that. But surrenders looks this is me.. addiction. I'm supposed to die to drugs.. this is the last of the states I've witnessed myself..
My interpretation: A story about a toxic relationship. The man in this video is someone who is taking advantage of her. She tries to fight it, bring him to reality and change him. However, he continues to infect her w the same levels of toxicity (he has). She stops fighting and stays instead of leaving him, and together they both suffer. In the end, the relationship takes over too much control and she loses everything she was.
SUBLIME !!!! Les mots ne peuvent décrire ce que ces images font ressentir ....
Le corps comme expression et démonstration .
Combien de beautés ... combien de vibrations .... combien de frissons vous nous faites partager .... MERCI pour cet instant de grâce ..... MERCI
That shot at 2:06 when they’re walking together is so beautiful. One of my favorite parts
proud of our french girl♥
Art saves lives. Thanks to everyone who made this possible and thanks for sharing such an amazing piece of art with the rest of the world. What an amazing performance by these two incredible dancers. Thank You!!
My interpretation of this is that he was so busy focusing on his problems, going through his own struggles, that he didn't notice that she was struggling with her own problems as well. Idk. Just what I got out of it.
Autumn Rae I think you might enjoy my newest dance concept video! Check it out
Autumn Rae the drugs became who he was. it started off the drug was it's own individual evil, it was his choice but at the end the drugs became his entire identity. I think the matching outfits at the end were like signifying that he had lost himself in his addiction.
that's how I interpreted it at least :)
Huh! That's a very interesting interpretation :) I love how everybody has their own idea of what this represents. That makes it a true piece of art.
I thought that too. but I also thought that their matching outfits at the end was him like slowly dragging her down the hole he was in , leading her to drug addiction as well and when they collapsed it was like they finally realised what had happened and where things had finally lead to
I have always believed that art cannot honestly be called art unless it invokes emotion. I've watched this video more times than I can count but every time I walk away with a different perspective and deep emotion. Talent like this is rare.
She is probably the most beautiful woman I've ever seen wow.
French singer Her name is shym
Yep, I am jealous 😀
Such a raw, impeccable work of art. I love that dance is being filmed this way.
This is what CZcams needs. Real, raw, pure artists, who are in it for what it's really about. Creating.
their dance gave life to the lyrics of the song! Absolutely FANTASTIC! They danced so beautifully together. I couldnt keep my eyes of both of them. I was almost in tears, really touched my heart.
This is so beautiful.. People always think that dance is just "whipping and nae nae" but me being a dancer it's about telling stories.. Inspiring people and showing entertainment whether it's being sad or happy.. You have to tell people a story, but you can tell that this dance is their story
This is what dance is. Some people are too caught up in how many tricks someone can do, or how many turns they can do. But they don't realise dance is more than that. Dance tells a story, dance makes you feel something. And this piece does that. This is what dance is .
This is my favourite dance video of all time. So incredibly beautiful and it's been an absolute inspiration.
this gives me chills. so beautiful, so haunting.. i can't even put it in words how amazing this is..
I often think of this and watch it to feel the same thing I did when I first watched it 8 years ago. Thank you for creating this. ❤
My dad was an addict, and I danced to this song a couple of years ago. It's nice to see such a beautiful dance about such a terrible problem that, sadly, most of us have lived with. Thanks for sharing
I love dance, all kinds of dance but I can genuinely say I've never had a piece move me to tears before and this did. What an amazing team who created this. The music, the costuming, the set, the choreography, and most of all the dancers and their emotion...all of it together made a masterpiece.
Guys. Everything about this is pure beauty. Pure, raw emotion. I've been struggling with severe emotional issues, including ptsd. My treatment has only began, but this. This was so beautiful and emotional. I couldn't help but cry and watch it on repeat. This is also the story of mental health issues in relationships. Trust me. So amazing. I can't sing your praises enough on this one. Thank you for sharing your beauty with the world.
This is absolutely astonishing. If i were to close my lights and watch this on my tv with full blast i dont even know. Just wow
Just so beautiful. This is probably the 157th time I'm watching this, and there are still many more times I will press that replay button on this video. Thank you so much for creating such a unique & ingenuitive masterpiece.
The combination of the song, lyrics, the movement and the emotions these two people bring to life is just....
I can´t find the perfect words for this.. It is the best I have seen in a long time!
I am at a loss for words. I keep playing this over and over. The story is portrayed perfectly.. the emotions are out of this world!
This needs a billion views, it's truly amazing, everyone needs to see this
I really didn't want to cry watching this but I definitely failed. What an accomplishment, this film - thank you for it.
This made cry. I love everything about this. Thank you!!!
I love this piece so much....really pulls me into their world. I can't even count how many times I have seen this dance, and have listened to this song even more. I lost my brother to addiction and most of my family have been addicts so it hits close to home
So beautiful, just amazes me how a dance piece can portray a message so nicely. Couldn't have asked for more.
I don't know how to dance myself, i grew up in a family where art is left on second place and knowledge or whatever is what's important, but every day i regret that. i spend hours and hours watching dancing videos, dancing films, everything, dance is a beautiful and powerful way to express feelings. This video was magnificent from beginning to end kudos to the dancers, producers, photographer, everyone, this was amazing.
i have seen so many contemporary dances to this song but this is by far the most insanely most intensely most amazingly beautiful dance i have ever seen. well done
I just can't stop watching it. The facial expressions, the fluidity of movements... Indescriptibly deep and beautifully danced.
This is beautiful.. I mean I have never seen such a beautiful and emotional choreographed dance...I can't wait watching!
Why can I not stop crying?! This song and choreo touches my soul in a very personal way. God needed me to see this. Thank you to everyone who had a part in the creation of this video. You've changed at least one persons life.
All I did was type this in to get a song but I got more then what I asked for LOL. I have to say I love their movements and how connected they are they show you their entire story just from dancing BEAUTIFUL.
Not only is the choreography beautiful, but the words speak to me in ways I could never fully explain in words themselves. Having life struggles from a very young age as well as fighting alcoholism. Every day comes with it's mishaps and wars to fight, but even when the world is against you, you have to love yourself to know it's going to be okay.
Whaou ! Belle histoire très beau couple de danseurs , j'en ai eu les larmes aux yeux ! 💘👌💖✌👑
Bravo les artistes 😁😊
This tapped into some of the deepest parts of my heart. I love this, so, so, so much. This is art and beauty and a story that really doesn't compare to anything else. Thank you.
What a powerful performance! Amazing choreography, amazing dancers with amazing technic and story telling skills! Loved every second of this! And even more every time I watch it! Can't get over the awesome Camera work either!
I'm currently struggling to maintain my sobriety. This helps... A lot. I pray that one day the stigma associated with addiction will fade. We are not all criminals that belong behind bars. Far from it.
this is so moving, Zack. thank you for sharing your craft with the world 💚
Should make a literal dance film n have this in its jus too beautiful and heart breaking at the same time ❤
This was one of the best dances I've ever seen in my life.
i can feel the pain and the love in it. the dance i want to learn that so really
waouh les larmes aux yeux...😰 magnifiques tous les deux, belle complicité quelle belle surprise...😍 On peut juste vous dire...merci😘
I'm no dancer or choreographer, but I totally thought of a choreography for this song once it came out... So happy to see that someone did just so! Beautiful
This dance was so mesmerizing and just deep. So beautiful. This kind of dancing tells a story that words cannot explain and it just leaves me speechless.
You should totally do a choreography for Burn by Madi Diaz. I feel that it would be astonishing such as this piece of art. 💕
dance is so beautiful. the emotions you put into is pure art. I love this so much.
Brought me to tears, the music and the choreography just spoke with such power and passion...too powerful for words to even describe. I thankyou for reaching beyond spoken words to convey such things.
This is one of the most beautiful things I have seen on CZcams. Thank you.
My late husband killed himself, and I relate this to the relationship with a suicidal person. The wardrobe, dance, all of it, shows the mental breakdown of both, including the person trying to help in such a battle. I've watched this over and over now... "You can still be what you want to".
never seen a more beautiful set of dancers before.. choreography is absolutely heartwrenching
Amazing work. The emotions, expressions and the entire choreography was superb. Just so you know, your work has inspired many around the world.
I love this so much. This is one of my favorite songs and the dancing is beautiful
I've watched this video I don't even know how many times at this point. I have cried every single time. This was created and published at a time before the worst part of my life and has been something that has helped to see me through the darkest of times that came since then. This song alone is artistry at it's best adding this brilliant choreography and these 2 outstanding dancers/performers in addition to that is just icing on an already amazing cake! This truly is brilliant in every way I can imagine. The commitment and very clear dedication of these dancers, or everyone involved for that matter, is something that should not go unnoticed. I thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for creating this for the world to see and allowing yourselves to be vulnerable enough to really tell the story the way that it was meant to be told.
I am a dancer, teacher and choreographer myself. Back in the 2014-15 dance season... I created a duet with 2 of my female dancers that I was working with at the time. They were 21 and 16 years old. I had them tell a very similar story. One being an addict, the other being her rock, the support system. It turned out to be one of my greatest pieces that I have ever choreographed and one of the things that I am most proud of in my career. If you're interested in seeing it here's the link... czcams.com/video/zAhSPicHK74/video.html
Choreography for my piece started prior to this video ever being released. If you do decide to watch it, I hope you enjoy it. Thank you!
I'm absolutely in love with the choreography. I'm a dancer and my goal is to tell stories through dance. I want to share with the world the struggles that everybody goes through, but through art. I wish i could do this exact choreography it was amazing. I can't wait until I'm older and I can dance as beautifully as they did.
I cry every time I watch this because I use to have a drug addiction and this song seriously helped me through it and when I saw this video for the first time I broke down
she is honestly so gorgeous. her lines and her expressions. And talk about body goals
Wow, juste magnifique *Q* Pour moi c'est la seule artiste Française qui sait vraiment faire le show comme les stars américaines !
It's my first time watching this dance, and I am glad my colleague recommended it. It was heartfelt and relatable! It's a masterpiece! A work of art! The message transcended through their choreography! There is depth, and the storytelling is beyond imaginable! It is mesmerizing! The girl represents a lot of things!
This masterpiece was like the voice in my head. They showed the things I wanted to say. TOO MUCH OF ANYTHING IS NOT GOOD! We should learn how to balance things out, and DEPENDENCY will never be the solution. Remember that things and people do come and go, and sooner or later, they will leave you, so don't depend on other people, things, or actions just to be happy.
I'm speechless... this is real dance not that high school dance team crap.
Why can't that high school dance team "crap" also be considered dance? That's pretty pretentious
I think they mean that high school dance often doesn't tell a story, like authentic dance should
Marie Hamel lol it's been a year but I still want to drop my 2 cents. At my high school we have one of the better dance programs in the district, we have a Dance Team and actual dance classes. I'm on the dance team and our purpose is to entertain audiences at foot ball games and to keep spirits up, so telling a story isn't a goal but we still entertain the crowd and everyone enjoys our dancing. Class is when we get to tell a story and have emotional dances that leave the audience and dancers alike in tears. Both are dancing, both are still challenging for their own rights. For team you have to keep tempo to quick music and hit all your movements at the same time as the rest of a team, not to mention bruised toes from jazz shoes. Class you have to be able to remember choreo AND preform with your emotions and soul in order to impress the audience and elicit an emotional response. Both are still "real dance"
Just thought I'd also put in my 2 cents as a 7 year dancer for my middle and high school teams. From personal experience I can promise you that we told stories while we danced. Yes there are dances performed at football games or basketball games and pep rallies, which is to boost morale and entertain. We call this Pom. But we also performed jazz, which had a varied theme and story every year. We also compete every year with our schools from our state as well as schools and studios across the nation. We get to experience hundreds of teams performing any number of dance styles from jazz to pom to kick to hip hop to lyrical and contemporary and so on. Some dances have the sole purpose of entertainment, and some tell stories. It's dependant on the choreographers intent and the performance of the dancer(s). Not all art has a message. Some artist create solely for satisfaction. Don't discredit ALL high school dance teams because their performance didn't seem to have a goal beyond entertaining the crowd. There are plenty of schools doing multiple styles of dance every single year and many of those dances tell elaborate stories. This competition season alone, I have so far seen 15 separate schools perform dances telling 15 different stories, and some of those schools are performing 2-3 routines that each tell their own story.
I wish this type of dance was showed in school
Des frissons, juste magnifique, cette vidéo nous montre à quelle point les émotions peuvent être exprimer par le corps, juste beau, sincère, réel..
This is the most beautifullest dancing ever! The emotion made me believe it was real and I almost cried I hope I can dance like that some day!
This is so RAW and I looooooooove it. It gives me chills everytime I watch it.
It is so beautiful!!!
I cannot resist to watch it over and over... And cry every single time.
Have never seen any dance that has touched me and moved me that much.
IT IS SO BREATHTAKING. i wish i could dance again like this. i used to express all my pain this way...... i am so in love with this. its beautiful.
This is so amazing. Couldn't even imagine how much work and effort that have went into that work. So beautiful
Le but est de nous faire pleuré ? Pour moi c'est fait ! Merci pour cette danse magique. Cette video ne fait que confirmer les talents de la belle Shy'm. Merci à Zack pour avoir pensé à ce beau projet ! Chapeau les artistes !
this makes me emotional no matter how many times I watch it. makes me feel feelings I didn't know I had and miss people I don't even know
That "I don't want to loose you" hug there, I felt it to my bones
This dance was breathtaking, and the girl was such a beautiful dancer. My eyes were drawn to her. And her body is so perfect 💙
Words cannot explain how beautiful this video is, or the message it gives. Amazing.
This is truly one of the most hauntingly beautiful and heart wrenching choreographies I've ever seen. Amazing. Simply Amazing Job!
