Oh wow! This recipe is amazing. As a longtime vegan, I always missed cool ranch and nacho cheese doritos. Now I can make them at home!😀😋 I also put chips on sandwiches and burgers as well but I never had this combo, I will definitely try it👌 I imagine these seasonings would also be great on popcorn and fries. I had actually made cool ranch chips following your Doritos Locos video. They were obviously awesome and this is a great reminder to make them again.

To save a lot of time I would just buy the plain salted Doritos and leave out the salt in the seasoning. Simply pour the seasoning into the bag and ‘shake it like a salt shaker’🧀🧀✌🏻
Totally! I've never seen those chips, and personally, I like the texture of freshly fried chips too, and I think they are better as nachos too! But I'm also a fan of shortcuts :)

YAAAY! I have everything except that Sazon seasoning. I'll have to see if my store sells that. I have made the cool ranch before and yeah, you need to be careful with the lactic acid. You can very easily overpower it.
SAZON -use in many Latin recipes 1T ea coriander, cumin, garlic powder
1T ground anatto seeds (achiote) or turmeric
1T kosher salt 2t oregano 1t ground black pepper
Mix together, 1 1/2t of this mix equals one commercial packet.

Looks good, how close do they taste to autual nacho cheese doritos.
It's been so long since I've had one, but they are super good and cheesy, so it's hard to compare. My non-vegan neighbor said they tasted like doritos but with more zap, so that's why I was saying to add less lactic acid.

I used to be so addicted to the Nacho Cheese Doritos that I could eat a whole big bag (I'm not too proud of that). I'm not sure making a vegan version is a good idea...but I think I'll do it anyway 😁

Taste yes, texture would be different but still good I imagine!
What brand of lactic acid do you use? I bought a bag from Amazon and it taste like candy. Almost more like citric acid than lactic acid. (Disregard it is in the description)
